Numerous debris flow mitigation measures havebeen implemented worldwide;however, acomprehensive assessment of the specific disasterreduction effects of these measures and their economic, social and ecological benefits is yet to be performed. The western region of Sichuan Province frequentlysuffers from geohazards such as debris flow, and thegovernment has adopted many mitigation measures. This study assessed the benefits of debris flowmitigation measures and identified the key influencingfactors via a field-based study conducted in 81 villagesin western Sichuan province, China. A framework forthe evaluation of the benefits of rural debris flowmitigation measures was constructed andquantitatively evaluated using a survey. Snowballsampling was performed to recruit 81 village leadersand 468 farmers. The results showed that managementand engineering measures were the main methodsused to mitigate debris flow;ecological measures wereauxiliary. The average satisfaction scores of farmers forthese three types of measures were 4.07, 3.90, and 3.56,respectively (as measured on a five-point Likert scale). In contrast, in terms of the benefits of these mitigationmeasures, only a small proportion of villages (11.11%)obtained a high level of comprehensive benefits fromthe debris flow mitigation measures, while the majority(88.89%) received medium to low-level benefits. Toimprove this situation, we further studied and foundthat the main factors that restricted villages fromachieving high-level comprehensive benefits were theunpredictable nature of debris flows, labour forceoutflow and remoteness. Effective control measures, agood economic environment and strong governmentassistance were reported as crucial factors forimproving these comprehensive benefits. This studyprovides socio-scientific references for decisionmakingon rural debris flow mitigation measures while keeping villages at the centre of economic development.展开更多

In this paper, a new rock cutting analysis model that considers the influence of the rock crushing zone(RCZ) is built. The formula for an ultimate cutting force is established based on the limit equilibrium principle. The relationship between digital drilling parameters(DDP) and the c-φ parameter(DDP-cφ formula, where c refers to the cohesion and φ refers to the internal friction angle) is derived, and the response of drilling parameters and cutting ratio to the strength parameters is analyzed. The drillingbased measuring method for the c-φ parameter of rock is constructed. The laboratory verification test is then completed, and the difference in results between the drilling test and the compression test is less than 6%. On this basis, in-situ rock drilling tests in a traffic tunnel and a coal mine roadway are carried out, and the strength parameters of the surrounding rock are effectively tested. The average difference ratio of the results is less than 11%, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method for obtaining the strength parameters based on digital drilling. This study provides methodological support for field testing of rock strength parameters.展开更多

In quantitative variables, symmetry, peakedness, and kurtosis are essential properties to evaluate the deviation from assumptions, particularly normality. They aid in selecting the most appropriate method for estimating parameters and testing hypotheses. Initially, these properties serve a descriptive role in qualitative variables. Once defined, they can be considered to check for non-compliance with assumptions and to propose modifications for testing procedures. The objective of this article is to present three measures of the shape of the distribution of a qualitative variable. The concepts of qualitative asymmetry and peakedness are defined. The measurement of the first concept involves calculating the average frequency difference between qualitative categories matched by frequency homogeneity or proximity. For the second concept, the peak-to-shoulder difference and the qualitative percentile kurtosis are taken into consideration. This last measurement is a less effective option than the peak-to-shoulder difference to measure peakedness. A simulated example of the application of these three measures is given and the paper closes with some conclusions and suggestions.展开更多

The concern to improve the quality of life of hypertensive patients led us to study the knowledge, compliance and effect of HDMs among Cameroonian hypertensive patients. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study carried out at the Douala General Hospital;the census of patients was carried out from 05 March to 10 May 2018. The data evaluated were knowledge and compliance with HDMs with an inference of their effect on blood pressure control. Results: We recruited 330 participants at mean age of 60 ± 11 years, 37.9% men;57.3% with blood pressure (BP) controlled. Out of 330 subjects, 308 (93.3%) who had been educated about dietary health measures for hypertension were assessed on knowledge, compliance and effect of these measures against 22 (6.7%) who had never heard about them. Around 85.7% of participants had good knowledge of HDMs and 78.9% had good compliance with them. There was no statistically significant influence of knowledge and compliance with HDMs on blood pressure control. Conclusion: The level of knowledge and adherence to HDMs of hypertensive patients at the Douala General Hospital was appreciable. It is however appropriate for physicians to intensify patient education on HDMs and BP control.展开更多

Rev. A 78 042327(2007)). It is, however, shown that such a measure has many imperfects such as the lack of the swapping symmetry and the ineffectiveness evaluation of even Schr?dinger-cat-like states with small amplitudes. To deal with these difficulties, we propose an improved measure of non-Gaussianity for quantum states and discuss its properties in detail. We then exploit this improved measure to evaluate the non-Gaussianities of some relevant single-mode non-Gaussian states and multi-mode non-Gaussian entangled states. These results show that our measure is reliable. We also introduce a modified measure for Gaussianity following Mandilara and Cerf(Phys. Rev. A 86 030102(R)(2012)) and establish a conservation relation of non-Gaussianity and Gaussianity of a quantum state.展开更多

文摘In the process of green and smart mine construction under the context of carbon neutrality,China's coal safety situation has been continuously improved in recent years. In order to recognize the development of coal production in China and prepare for future monitoring and prevention of safety incidents, this study mainly elaborated on the basic situation of coal resources and national mining accidents over the past five years(2017-2021),from four dimensions(accident level, type, region, and time),and then proposed the preventive measures based on accident statistical laws. The results show that the storage of coal resources has obvious geographic characteristics, mainly concentrated in the Midwest, with coal resources in Shanxi and Shaanxi accounting for about 49.4%.The proportion of coal consumption has dropped from 70.2%to 56%between 2011 and 2021,but still accounts for more than half of the all.Meanwhile, the accident-prone areas are positively correlated with the amount of coal production.Among different levels of coal mine accidents, general accidents had the highest number of accidents and deaths, with 692 accidents and 783 deaths, accounting for 87.6%and 54.64%respectively.The frequency of roof, gas, and transportation accidents is relatively high, and the number of single fatalities caused by gas accidents is the largest, about 4.18.In terms of geographical distribution of accidents, the safety situation in Shanxi Province is the most severe. From the time distribution of coal mine accidents, the accidents mainly occurred in July and August, and rarely occurred in February and December.Finally,the"4+4"safety management model is proposed, combining the statistical results with coal production in China.Based on the existing health and safety management systems, the manage-ments are divided into four sub-categories,and more specific measures are suggested.

文摘The technology of drilling tests makes it possible to obtain the strength parameter of rock accurately in situ. This study provides methodological support for field testing of rock strength parameters.
文摘There are several shape measures for quantitative variables, some of which can also be applied to ordinal variables. A simulated example of the application of these three measures is given and the paper closes with some conclusions and suggestions.

It is however appropriate for physicians to intensify patient education on HDMs and BP control.

文摘Quantifying entanglement in quantum systems is an important yet challenging task due to its NP-hard nature. In this work,we propose an efficient algorithm for evaluating distance-based entanglement measures. Our approach builds on Gilbert's algorithm for convex optimization, providing a reliable upper bound on the entanglement of a given arbitrary state. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm by applying it to various examples, such as calculating the squared Bures metric of entanglement as well as the relative entropy of entanglement for GHZ states,W states,Horodecki states, and chessboard states. These results demonstrate that our algorithm is a versatile and accurate tool that can quickly provide reliable upper bounds for entanglement measures.

文摘Non-Gaussianity of quantum states is a very important source for quantum information technology and can be quantified by using the known squared Hilbert–Schmidt distance recently introduced by Genoni et al.(Phys. Rev. A 86 030102(R)(2012)) and establish a conservation relation of non-Gaussianity and Gaussianity of a quantum state.

文摘Consider a generalized model of the facilitated exclusion process, which is a onedimensional exclusion process with a dynamical constraint that prevents the particle at site x from jumping to x+1 (or x-1) if the sites x-1, x-2 (or x+1, x+2) are empty. It is nongradient and lacks invariant measures of product form. The purpose of this paper is to identify the invariant measures and to show that they satisfy both exponential decay of correlations and equivalence of ensembles. These properties will play a pivotal role in deriving the hydrodynamic limit.
文摘The number of botnet malware attacks on Internet devices has grown at an equivalent rate to the number of Internet devices that are connected to the Internet.Bot detection using machine learning(ML)with flow-based features has been extensively studied in the literature.Existing flow-based detection methods involve significant computational overhead that does not completely capture network communication patterns that might reveal other features ofmalicious hosts.Recently,Graph-Based Bot Detection methods using ML have gained attention to overcome these limitations,as graphs provide a real representation of network communications. The purpose of this study is to build a botnet malware detection system utilizing centrality measures for graph-based botnet detection and ML.We propose BotSward,a graph-based bot detection system that is based on ML.We apply the efficient centrality measures, which are Closeness Centrality(CC),Degree Centrality(CC),and PageRank(PR),and compare them with others used in the state-of-the-art.The efficiency of the proposed method is verified on the available Czech Technical University 13 dataset(CTU-13).The CTU-13 dataset contains 13 real botnet traffic scenarios that are connected to a command-and-control(C&C)channel and that cause malicious actions such as phishing, distributed denial-of-service(DDoS)attacks,spam attacks, etc.BotSward is robust to zero-day attacks, suitable for large-scale datasets, and is intended to produce better accuracy than state-of-the-art techniques. The proposed BotSward solution achieved 99%accuracy in botnet attack detection with a false positive rate as low as 0.0001%.

文摘In this paper,we characterize reverse Carleson measures for a class of generalized Fock spaces F^(p)_(φ),with 0<p<∞and withφsatisfying dd^(c)_(φ)■ω0.As an application of these results,we obtain several equivalent characterizations for invertible Toeplitz operators Tψ,induced by positive bounded symbols φ on F^(2)_(φ).

文摘In this paper, we focus on the space-inhomogeneous three-state on the one-dimension lattice, a one-phase model and a two-phase model include. By using the transfer matrices method by Endo et al., we calculate the stationary measure for initial state concrete eigenvalue. Finally we found the transfer matrices method is more effective for the three-state quantum walks than the method obtained by Kawai et al.

文摘Impact pile driving is an interesting technique for the construction of deep foundations from a practical and economical point of view. However, the generalization of this technique can be restricted due to the excessive vibration levels that can be generated, which can be especially problematic in residential areas. However, different mitigation measures can be applied to prevent excessive vibration levels inside buildings located near construction sites. To compare its efficiency through a numerical prediction tool, two experimental test sites are first presented and characterized. From the results obtained,it was found that the construction of an open trench near the impact source can be used as an efficient mitigation measure to reduce the maximum vibration levels evaluated in this study.
