Two PMUs are installed in the power system interconnection network of Singapore-Malaysia. One PMU is located in Singapore and the other one in Malaysia (Penang). Both PMUs measure the single-phase voltage phasor. The data filtering technique based on FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) is employed to extract oscillation data for single mode. Finally, some analysis results of monitoring and estimation of Singapore-Malaysia interconnected power system based on application practice of the CampusWAMS are presented and analyzed.展开更多

It processe...Visual real-time monitoring is the premise of low frequency oscillation control in power grids. This paper showed a visual method for the control center of power grids to monitor low frequency oscillation. It processed the PMU real-time data with incomplete S-transform, and converted the waveforms to two-dimensional time-frequency figures which showed the initial time, frequency and amplitude of each low frequency oscillation mode directly. GPU was used to show figures and calculate FFT with the purpose of improving calculation efficiency. The results of practical cases show that the real-time characters of low frequency oscillation can be identified availably by this visualization real-time monitoring method which is helpful and suitable for practical application.展开更多

Results show that the proposed approach can map multiple oscillatory sources onto the most appropriate control loops,and has superior performance in terms of reconstruction accuracy and intuitive understanding compared with spectral independent component analysis(ICA).展开更多

It is proposed in the context of a waf...In this paper, we describe a new silicon-die thermal monitoring approach using spatiotemporal signal processing technique for Wafer-Scale IC thermome- chanical stress monitoring. It is proposed in the context of a wafer-scale-based (WaferICTM) rapid prototyping platform for electronic systems. This technique will be embedded into the structure of the WaferIC, and will be used as a preventive measure to protect the wafer from possible damages that can be caused by excessive thermomechanical stress. The paper also presents spatial and spatiotemporal algorithms and the experimental results from an IR images collection campaign conducted using an IR camera.展开更多

The coarse tuning structure is composed of two digital modules, including a successive approximation register and a frequency comp...A new coarse tuning loop for a wide-band dual-loop frequency synthesizer is presented. The coarse tuning structure is composed of two digital modules, including a successive approximation register and a frequency comparator with a novel structure. The frequency comparator counts the prescaler cycles within a certain reference time and compares the number with preset data to estimate the VCO frequency. The frequency comparison error is analyzed in detail. Within a given coarse tuning time,our proposed structure shows a comparison error 20 times smaller than that of other reported structures. This structure also reuses the programmable divider as a part of the coarse tuning loop so that the circuit is greatly simplified.展开更多
