Background:No standard monsplasty technique has existed until now.Although various monsplasty methods have been described,they exhibit high complication rates with sparse postoperative data.Studies that used pubic sus...Background:No standard monsplasty technique has existed until now.Although various monsplasty methods have been described,they exhibit high complication rates with sparse postoperative data.Studies that used pubic suspension techniques did not describe exact anatomical landmarks for the mons pexy.This study aimed to improve the aesthetic and functional appearance of the pubic region with long-term results for all grades of pubic ptosis or bulging with abdominoplasty and provide exact anatomical points to anchor the mons to the rectus sheath.Methods:This non-randomized prospective clinical trial included 30 patients with various degrees of abdominal wall laxity between December 2017 and September 2019.The surgical procedure was performed for female patients with pendulous abdomen,pubic ptosis or bulging,body mass index≤35 kg/m^(2),and age 18–60 years.All patients were followed for up to one year;patient satisfaction was assessed before and after surgery regarding aesthetic results and impact on outfits,hygiene,and sexual activity.Results:The marginal homogeneity test revealed a statistically significant patient satisfaction rate regarding outfits,sexual function,hygiene,and aesthetics.Regarding postoperative complications,seroma(one case)was managed by aspiration,and one case of wound dehiscence was managed conservatively with dressings.Conclusion:This study recommends a quick and reproducible monsplasty technique with a low complication rate,a technique that helps determine specific anatomical landmarks for anchoring the mons to the rectus sheath.Combining this technique with abdominal contouring is advisable for optimal aesthetic results and maintained lymphatic drainage in the pubic region.展开更多

Embryos of KM strain exhibited 2-cell block, whereas B6C3F1 embryos, which are regarded as a nonblocking strain, proceeded to the 4-cell stage in our culture condition. It is often assumed that the block of early development is due to the failure of/ygotic gene activation (ZGA) in cultured embryos. In this study we examined protein synthesis patterns by two-dimensional gel eleetrophoresis of [35 S] methionine radiolabeled 2-cell embryos. Embryos from the blocking strain and the nonblocking strain were compared in their development both in vitro and in vivo. The detection of TRC expression, a marker of ZGA. at 42 h post hCG in KM embryos developed in vitro suggested that ZGA was also initiated even in the 2-cell arrested embryos. Nevertheless, a significant delay of ZGA was observed in KM strain as compared with normally developed B6C3F1 embryos. At the very beginning of major ZGA as early as 36 h post hCG, TRC has already been expressed in B6C3F1 embryos developed in vitro and KM embryos developed in vivo. The catalytic proficiency of three MONs for AP thermal decomposition was studied in this work.A chemical co-precipitation method was used for synthesis of MONs(CuZnO,CoZnO,and NiZnO)and their characterization carried ...The catalytic proficiency of three MONs for AP thermal decomposition was studied in this work.A chemical co-precipitation method was used for synthesis of MONs(CuZnO,CoZnO,and NiZnO)and their characterization carried out by utilizing XRD,FTIR,and SEM.The TGA/DSC technique was employed for the investigation of the catalytic proficiency of MONs on the AP.The DSC data were used for measuring activation energy of catalyzed AP by using Ozawa,Kissinger,and Starink method.The MONs were much sensitive for AP decomposition,and the performance of AP decomposition was further improved.Among all the MONs,the CuZnO exhibits higher catalytic action than others and decomposition temperature of AP is descending around 117℃ by CuZnO.The reduction in the activation energy was noticed after the incorporation of MONs in AP.展开更多

To have a 3-dimensional picture of how the oceanic currents vary, ...Studies on oceanic conditions in the South China Sea (SCS) and adjacent waters are helpful for thorough understanding of summer monsoons in East Asia. To have a 3-dimensional picture of how the oceanic currents vary, the oceanic elements in the South China Sea (SCS) and its neighboring sea regions in January ~ August 1998 have been simulated by using the improved Princeton University Ocean Model (POM) in this paper. The main results are in good agreement with that of ocean investigations and other simulations. The results show that the SCS branch of the Kuroshio Current is an important part in the north SCS from January to August; the SCS warm current is reproduced clearly in all months except in winter; there always exists a large-scale anti-cyclonic vortex on the right of the Kuroshio Current from January to August. In the model domain, the surface currents of the SCS have the closest relations with the monsoon with an apparent seasonal variation. In addition, the developing characteristics of the SST in the SCS and its neighboring sea regions before and after the summer monsoon onset are also well simulated by the improved POM. Those are the foundation for developing a coupled regional ocean-atmospheric model system.展开更多
A highly stable and luminescent metal-organic framework(LMOF) with layered structure,namely,C6H4N5OZn(1) has been successfully achieved and fully characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction,powder X-ray diffract...A highly stable and luminescent metal-organic framework(LMOF) with layered structure,namely,C6H4N5OZn(1) has been successfully achieved and fully characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction,powder X-ray diffractions,fluorescence titration and thermogravimetry.This blue-light emitting compound 1 exhibit outstanding stability and can detect Fe3+ and Cu2+ in water specifically,presenting potential application in the field of fluorescent probe technology.Fluorescence titration experiments indicate that the detection of Fe3+ ions by 1 is more significant than that of Cu2+ ions in terms of Ksv value.Furthermore,guest-assisted exfoliation of layered MOF 1 is efficiently carried out through ether O—H hydrogen bond or π…π interactions between the layered host structure and intercalated guest molecules(4,4’-oxybisbenzoic acid and triphenylamine).Tyndal scattering was observed in the suspensions of obtained MOF nanosheets.This study shows that the compound 1 with unique metal ion sensing properties can be applied as a probe material in water pollution treatment field,but also opens up the opportunity for synthesizing luminescent MONs through the "bottom-up" guest intercalation methodology.展开更多
