Thus, the restoration and protection of fishery resources have become critical and complex. The stability and balanced structure of the fish community is a basic foundation for the protection of fishery resources. Based on data collected from bottom trawls by the R/V Beidou in continental shelf of the East China Sea in November 2006 and February 2007, changes in the composition and diversity of fish species and functional groups were analyzed. The research area was divided into offshore waters and inshore waters by the two-way indicator species analysis (TWIA). The results showed that the dominant species were different between offshore waters and inshore waters and also varied with the survey time. The most abundant family was Sciaenidae and Teraponidae in November 2006, Sciaenidae, Engraulidae and Triglidae were most abundant in February 2007. The species diversity showed a similar trend as the functional group diversity. Stations with higher diversity were mainly distributed in inshore waters in February 2007, whereas higher diversity was found in offshore waters in November 2006. The highest biomass and species number were found in G6 group, followed by the G4, G5 and GI groups. The distribution of the number of individuals of each functional group showed the opposite trend as that of the biomass distribution. In addition, the size spectra were mainly concentrated around 3-29 cm, and the individual number of fish species gradually decreased with the increase in body size, but the relative biomass showed a moderate fluctuation in each size class. These changes showed that species with faster growth rate and earlier maturity age became dominant in continental shelf of the East China Sea. Data were collected during two seasonal cruises in April and August of 2011, and analyzed with multivariate statistical methods. Up to 306 macrobenthic species were registered from the research areas, including 115 species of Polychaeta, 78 of Crustacea, 61 of Mollusca, 30 of Echinodermata, and 22 of other groups. Nine polychaete species occurred at frequencies higher than 25% from the sampling stations: Lumbrineris longifolia, Notomastus latericeus, Nin6e palmata, Ophelina acuminata, Nephtys oligobranchia, Onuphis geophiliformis, Glycera chirori, Terebellides stroemii, and Aricidea fragilis. Both the average biomass and abundance of macrobenthos are higher in August (23.8 g/m^2 and 237.7 ind./m^2) than those in April (11.3 g/m^2 and 128 ind./m^2); the dissimilarity ofmacrobenthic structures among stations is as high as 70%. In terms of the dissimilarity values, we divided the stations into four clusters in spring and eight in summer. The ABC curve shows that the macrofauna communities in high jellyfish abundance were not changed. Canonical correspondence analysis showed that depth, temperature, median grain size, total organic carbon of sediment and total nitrogen in sediment were important factors affecting the macrozoobenthic community in the study area.展开更多

Overall, 149 067 optimized reads with an average length of 454 nucleotides were obtained from 17 seawater samples and fi ve sediment samples sourced in May 2011. A total of 22 phyla, 34 classes, 74 orders, 146 families, and 333 genera were identifi ed in this study. Some of them were detected for the fi rst time from the East China Sea. The estimated richness and diversity indices were both higher in the sediment samples compared with in the seawater samples. All the samples were divided by their diversity indices into four regions. Similarity analysis showed that the seawater samples could be classifi ed into six groups. The groups differed from each other and had unique community structure characteristics. It was found that different water masses in the sampling areas may have had some infl uence on the bacterial community structure. A canonical correspondence analysis revealed that seawater samples in different areas and at different depths were affected by different environmental parameters. This study will lay the foundation for future research on microbiology in the East China Sea.展开更多

The southeast coast of China is a typical region under the intensive influence of Asia monsoon and freshwater discharge from rivers. The water mass and environmental condition of the Hangzhou Bay, which were influenced by the interaction of currents, freshwater discharge of the Qiantang River and Changjiang River Plume, showed significant seasonal variation. Our results showed that both biomass and abundance were significantly higher in summer((247.7±148.8) mg/m^3 and(350.9±215.6) ind./m^3, respectively)than those in other seasons. Four eco-geographical regions were divided based on the cluster analysis of zooplankton community of the Hangzhou Bay throughout the year, except for winter. Monsoon and the dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN) input from freshwater discharge of the Qiantang River and Changjiang River resulted in temporal and spatial variations of environmental gradient in the Hangzhou Bay, which significantly influenced the structure of mesozooplankton community. Redundancy analysis(RDA) indicated that the mesozooplankton community structure was strictly correlated with the DIN gradient, while salinity gradient showed a weak influence in the Hangzhou Bay.展开更多

We recognized four different vertical distribution patterns of pigments: chlorophyll a (Chl a)-like type, divinyl chlorophyll a (DV Chl a) type, even distribution type, and surface type. The average value of ratios of accessory photo-protective pigments (APP) to accessory photo-synthetic pigments was 0.89±0.63 in the upper 50 m and 0.16±0.06 below 50 m depth. With increasing depth, APP decreased and photo-synthetically active radiation was attenuated. There was an obvious succession in the phytoplankton community from inshore to the open sea. Diatoms were dominant in the inshore region, while pelagophytes, Prochlorococcus, cyanobacteria and prymnesiophytes were dominant in the open sea. The vertical distribution of phytoplankton also differed greatly from inshore to the open sea. In the coastal and shelf region, diatoms were important components in the whole water column. Cyanobacteria also had a high abundance at the Subsurface Chlorophyll a Maxima (SCM) in the shelf region. In the slope and open sea, Prochlorococcus and cyanobacteria were important groups above the SCM, while pelagophytes dominated below the SCM.展开更多

Zooplankton were sampled at nine stations within the lagoon and four facing the seaward reef-slope in the Huangyan Atoll during May 2015. Lagoonal samples contained 48 zooplankton taxa( H' =2.25±0.95; J =0.70±0.23) with planktonic larvae, copepods, and euphausids contributing 95.63% of total abundance. Seaward oceanic samples contained 114 zooplankton(H ' =5.27±0.27; J =0.90±0.03) with copepods, siphonophores, chaetognaths, appendicularians, and planktonic larvae accounting for 93.66% of abundance. Lagoonal zooplankton abundance was lower than that on the seaward reef-slope. Zooplankton community dif fered significantly between the lagoon and reef-slope groups(R =0.708, P =0.001). The former was dominated by Macruran larvae, Brachyuran larvae, S tylocheiron carinatum, and Acartia spp., while the latter was predominately represented by O ikopleura longicauda, Chelophyes contorta and C opilia mirabilis. Chlorophyll a concentration was significantly higher in the lagoon than the reef slope regions( P <0.01), which may be due to the nutrient input from fishing vessels near the lagoon mouth. Zooplankton abundance was negatively correlated with chlorophyll a concentration(P <0.01). A clear dif ference was observed statistically in the species composition and abundance of zooplankton between the lagoon and the seaward slope at Huangyan Atoll, which suggests that it may be resulted from the influence by natural and anthropogenic interactions.展开更多

Among 140 species of phytoplankton (including varieties and formas) identified, 104 species belonged to Bacillariophyta and 32 species belonged to Pyrrhophyta. In April, the biomass of phytoplankton was 0.09×10 4-465×10 6 cells/m 3, and the dense area was located in the Zhejiang coastal zone and the estuary of the Changjiang River; the density of the studied area’s west part was always higher than that of the east part. In October and November, the phytoplankton biomass was 0.42×10 4-289.9×10 4 cells/m 3, and the dense area was located in the upwelling zone near the Zhejiang coast. In spring and autumn, biomass was very low in the outer part of the East China Sea continental shelf area, where phytoplankton was classifiable into two communities based on the phytoplankton’s ecological characteristics and environmental parameters such as water temperature and salinity, i.e. neritic community environment characterized by warm temperature and low salinity and pelagic community environment characterized by high temperature and high salinity.展开更多

A total of 215 species of zooplankton were identified, of which 187 species were present in the BoB and 119 in the SCS. Of the taxonomic groups recorded, Copepoda was the most diverse group in all samples followed by pelagic Tunicata, Siphonophorae and Chaetognatha. Flaccisagitta enflata, Cosmocalanus darwinii, Euchaeta larva, Macrura larva and Candacia truncata were predominant both in the BoB and SCS. Moreover, the distribution of some dominant species differed regionally, such as Cypridina dentata, Pleuromamma robusta and Mesosagitta decipiens only in the BoB, and Pleuromamma gracilis, Neocalanus gracilis and Eudoxoides spiralis in the SCS. The average zooplankton abundance was 33.37 ± 7.19 ind. m^(-3) in the BoB and 35.08 ± 2.07 ind. m-3 in the SCS. Copepoda was one of the most abundant groups in the Bo B and SCS. Based on multivariate analysis, it was possible to distinguish the zooplankton in the BoB and SCS communities at the similarity level of approximately 55%, and the dissimilarity was mainly due to C. dentata, P. robusta, M. decipiens, C. darwinii, N. gracilis and P. gracilis. The relationships between zooplankton and temperature, salinity and chlorophyll a were not statistically significant. Zooplankton community structure in the BoB and SCS was observed to be generally similar in terms of species composition and abundance, but the differences observed may be the result of species-specific geographical distribution and local hydrographic conditions.展开更多

The data were derived from the Baseline Survey of National City Community Health Service System Building Project, which was conducted in 1917 CHSCs in 28 cities in 2007. The IB allocation was analyzed in terms oflB alloca- tion quantity and distribution equity, and the IB utilization was analyzed by the IB utilization rate and average length of stay of the CHSC inpatients. The results showed that 49.3% of the CHSCs were equipped with IB; averagely, there were 45 IBs per CHSC, 0.94 IBs per 1000 people, and 0.38 nurses and 0.57 doctors per IB; the IB Gini coefficient was 0.32; the IB utilization rate was 40.06%; and the average length of stay of inpatients was 12.24 days. The conclusions were that IB allocation among the population was equitable, but the number of nurse per IB was not up to the national standard; and the CHSC IB utilization was low as a whole, thus inpatient service was not the main health service for Chinese CHSCs.展开更多

文摘The ecological environment in the East China Sea(ECS)and the Yellow Sea(YS)has changed significantly due to sea-level rising and the Kuroshio incursion since the last deglaciation. In this study, biomarker records of core F10B from the mud area southwest off Cheju Island(MSWCI)were generated to evaluate phytoplankton productivity and community structure changes in response to environmental evolution during the last 14 kyr.The contents of diatom, dinoflagellate and haptophyte biomarkers(brassicasterol, dinosterol and C37alkenones)display similar trends, with increasing phytoplankton productivity during the last 14kyr due to the increased influences of the Kuroshio, and especially due to the eddy-induced upwelling during the late Holocene. On the other hand, the contents of terrestrial biomarkers(C28+C30+C32n-alkanols)and terrestrial organic matter(TOM)proxies(TMBR′and BIT)all reveal decreasing TOM input into the area around the sampling site for the 14 kyr, mostly due to sea-level ris-ing.Phytoplankton biomarker ratios reveal a shift from a haptophyte-dominated community at 6.2 2.5 kyr BP to a diatom-dominated community at 2.5 1.45 kyr BP,likely caused by a stronger cold eddy circulation system at 2.5 1.45 kyr BP in the MSWCI.

文摘To understand the characteristics of macrobenthic structures and the relationship between environment and benthic assemblages in jellyfish bloom, we studied the macrobenthos and related environmental factors in the coastal waters of the Yellow Sea and East China Sea. Canonical correspondence analysis showed that depth, temperature, median grain size, total organic carbon of sediment and total nitrogen in sediment were important factors affecting the macrozoobenthic community in the study area.

文摘The study was conducted during two cruises of June–August 2006 (summer),and January–February 2007 (winter) in the Huanghai (Yellow) Sea and East China Sea.Spatial and temporal variations of zooplankton abundance, biomass and community structure and its relation to currents and water masses over the continental shelf were examined.A total of 584 zooplankton species/taxa and 28 planktonic larvae were identified during the two surveys.Copepods were the most abundant component among these identified groups.Zooplankton abundance and biomass fluctuated widely and showed distinct heterogeneity in the shelf waters.Five zooplankton assemblages were identified with hierarchical cluster analysis during this study, and they were Huanghai Sea Assemblage,Changjiang Estuary Assemblage,Coastal Assemblage,East China Sea Mixed-water Assemblage and East China Sea Offshore Assemblage.Seasonal changes of zooplankton community composition and its geographical distribution were detected, and the locations of the faunistic areas overlap quite well with water masses and current systems. So we suggest that the zooplankton community structure and its changes were determined by the water masses in the Huanghai Sea and East China Sea.The results of this research can provide fundamental information for the long-term monitoring of zooplankton ecology in the shelf of Huanghai Sea and East China Sea.

文摘The 454 sequencing method was used to detect bacterial diversity and community structure in the East China Sea. This study will lay the foundation for future research on microbiology in the East China Sea.

文摘A quarterly study of mesozooplankton community structure and environmental variables in the Hangzhou Bay was conducted to examine the response of mesozooplankton community to the variation of water mass and environmental condition. Redundancy analysis(RDA) indicated that the mesozooplankton community structure was strictly correlated with the DIN gradient, while salinity gradient showed a weak influence in the Hangzhou Bay.

文摘Phytoplankton pigment patterns and community composition were investigated in the northern South China Sea using high-performance liquid chromatography and the CHEMTAX software from February 11 to 23, 2009. In the slope and open sea, Prochlorococcus and cyanobacteria were important groups above the SCM, while pelagophytes dominated below the SCM.

文摘Relatively few studies have investigated the community structure of zooplankton in the atolls of the central South China Sea. A clear dif ference was observed statistically in the species composition and abundance of zooplankton between the lagoon and the seaward slope at Huangyan Atoll, which suggests that it may be resulted from the influence by natural and anthropogenic interactions.

文摘To further understand the effect of Kuroshio intrusion on phytoplankton community structure in the northeastern South China Sea(NSCS,14°–23°N,114°–124°E),one targeted cruise was carried out from July to August,2017.A total of 79 genera and 287 species were identified, mainly including Bacillariophyta(129 species),Pyrrophyta(150 species),Cyanophyta(4 species),Chrysophyta(3 species)and Haptophyta(1 species). The average abundance of phytoplankton was 2.14×10~3 cells/L,and Cyanobacterium was dominant species accounting for 86.84%of total phytoplankton abundance. The abundance and distribution of dominant Cyanobacterium were obviously various along the flow of the Kuroshio, indicating the Cyanobacterium was profoundly influenced by the physical process of the Kuroshio. Therefore,Cyanobacterium could be used to indicate the influence of Kuroshio intrusion. In addition, the key controlling factors of the phytoplankton community were nitrogen, silicate, phosphate and temperature, according to Canonical Correspondence Analysis. However, the variability of these chemical parameters in the study water was similarly induced by the physical process of circulations.Based on the cluster analysis, the similarity of phytoplankton community is surprisingly divided by the regional influence of the Kuroshio intrusion, which indicated Kuroshio intrusion regulates phytoplankton community in the NSCS.
文摘This paper deals with the distribution and community structure of phytoplankton revealed by data obtained in a cruise in April and one in Oct.-Nov., 1994. In spring and autumn, biomass was very low in the outer part of the East China Sea continental shelf area, where phytoplankton was classifiable into two communities based on the phytoplankton’s ecological characteristics and environmental parameters such as water temperature and salinity, i.e. neritic community environment characterized by warm temperature and low salinity and pelagic community environment characterized by high temperature and high salinity.

文摘To investigate the effects of biochar addition(1 or 3%)to the soil of a China fir plantation with or without litter,we conducted a 90-day incubation experiment. We also studied the C and N dynamics and the microbial community structure of the soil.In soil without litter, the application of biochar at a rate of 3%significantly decreased CO2 emissions, while addition of 1%biochar had no effect.Biochar application did not affect the net N mineralization rate but significantly reduced the NH4?concentration after 90 days.In litter-enriched soil, biochar application had no significant effect on total CO2 emissions;however, application of 3%biochar significantly reduced the net N mineralization rate.Biochar application to soil with or without litter immediately reduced the dissolved organic carbon(DOC)concentration independent of the application rate, which was primarily due to sorption of DOC by the biochar.Phospholipid fatty acid analysis demonstrated that both concentrations of added biochar to soil(with or without litter)altered the soil microbial community structure at the end of incubation, although the effect of biochar was not as strong as the effect of time or litter application. The effect of biochar addition alone on microbial community structure was inconsistent over time.Litter added to soil significantly increased fungi and reduced Gram-positive bacteria. In the presence of litter, biochar applied at both 1%and 3%significantly increased(p<0.05)the proportion of actinomycete only at day 90.Our results indicate biochar as a potentially effective measure for C sequestration in the test soil of a China fir plantation, even in the presence of litter.

文摘This study compares the structure of the zooplankton community in the Bay of Bengal(BoB) and South China Sea(SCS) during the period of spring inter-monsoon, 2010. Zooplankton community structure in the BoB and SCS was observed to be generally similar in terms of species composition and abundance, but the differences observed may be the result of species-specific geographical distribution and local hydrographic conditions.

文摘Since the 1970s,community gardens have played an important role in promoting the development of sustainable communities and improving urban environments in the United States. Despite the popularity of spontaneous urban farming activities in China, community gardens have not caught on as an ecologically and socially sustainable urban development strategy. Based on a comparison of community garden development in China and the U.S.,the authors of this article fi nd that the development of community gardens in China will require close collaboration between city planning officials, real estate agencies, urban citizens, and landscape architects.
基金The Baseline Survey of "The National Urban Community Health Service System Building Project" was funded by Ministry Of Health of China
文摘The objective of this study was to examine the inpatient bed (IB) allocation equity and utilization in Chinese city commtmity health service centers (CHSCs). The conclusions were that IB allocation among the population was equitable, but the number of nurse per IB was not up to the national standard; and the CHSC IB utilization was low as a whole, thus inpatient service was not the main health service for Chinese CHSCs.
