We studied the CatWalk XT■gait analysis for evaluating hindlimb functional recovery in a widely used and clinically relevant thoracic contusion/compression spinal cord injury model in rats. Rats were randomly assigned to either a T9 spinal cord injury or sham laminectomy. Locomotion recovery was assessed using the Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan open field rating scale and the CatWalk XT■gait analysis. To determine the potential bias from weight changes, corrected hindlimb(H) values(divided by the unaffected forelimb(F) values) were calculated. Six weeks after injury, cyst formation, astrogliosis, and the deposition of chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycans were assessed by immunohistochemistry staining. Compared with the baseline, a significant spontaneous recovery could be observed in the CatWalk XT■parameters max intensity, mean intensity, max intensity at%, and max contact mean intensity from 4 weeks after injury onwards. Of note, corrected values(H/F) of CatWalk XT■parameters showed a significantly less vulnerability to the weight changes than absolute values, specifically in static parameters. The corrected CatWalk XT■parameters were positively correlated with the Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan rating scale scores, cyst formation, the immunointensity of astrogliosis and chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycan deposition. The CatWalk XT■gait analysis and especially its static parameters, therefore, seem to be highly useful in assessing spontaneous recovery of hindlimb function after severe thoracic spinal cord injury. Because many CatWalk XT■parameters of the hindlimbs seem to be affected by body weight changes, using their corrected values might be a valuable option to improve this dependency.展开更多

The fault feature vector was directly established by analyzing the armature current. Fault features were extracted from the current using various signal processing methods including Fourier analysis, wavelet analysis and statistical methods. Then an advanced BP neural network was used to finish decision-making and separate fault patterns. Finally, the accuracy of the method in this paper was verified by analyzing the mechanism of faults theoretically. The consistency between the experimental results and the theoretical analysis shows that four kinds of representative faults of low power permanent-magnetic DC motors can be diagnosed conveniently by this method. These four faults are brush fray, open circuit of components, open weld of components and short circuit between armature coils. This method needs fewer hardware instruments than the conventional method and whole procedures can be accomplished by several software packages developed in this paper.展开更多

DATA SOURCE: A computer-based online search of publications was conducted using the Vip and PubMed Databases to identify publications that addressed biofeedback. The search key words included "electromyogram", "biofeedback", and "stroke". In total, 81 articles were retrieved. DATA SELECTION: Studies closely related to biofeedback, or studies with contents recently published in the same study field or in authorized journals, were included. Duplicated articles were excluded. Following full-text retrieval of selected articles, a total of 14 articles were collected, which addressed randomized, controlled trials of biofeedback therapy for dysfunction after stroke. Methodological quality was assessed for randomized, controlled trials using criteria from Cochrane reviewers' handbook. Results were analyzed using Revman 4.2 software. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Outcomes and evaluation indices were expressed by odds ratio (OR), weighted mean difference (WMD), and 95% confidence interval (95% CO. Potential publication bias was presented using the funnel plot. RESULTS: The study included 14 randomized, controlled trials of 1 147 patients. Following biofeedback therapy, meta-analysis results demonstrated that: (1) The total effective rate was significantly greater in the biofeedback therapy group compared with the control group [OR = 3.46, 95% Cl (2.09, 5.73), P = 0.62]. (2) Electromyogram changes were better in biofeedback therapy patients compared to the control group [WMD= 22.31, 95% C/(17.19, 27.43), P〈 0.001]. (3) Motor function was better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD = 12.43, 95% CI (6.71, 18.16), P 〈 0.001]. (4) Daily living activities were better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD= 18.11, 95% C/(15.77, 20.44), P= 0.36]. (5) Joint range of motion was better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD = 6.43, 95% Cl (4.44, 8.41), P = 0.77]. Sensitivity analysis also demonstrated similar results after eliminating articles that described unknown diagnostic criteria and statistical methods. CONCLUSION: Following stroke, biofeedback therapy for dysfunction was shown to result in significant and valid outcomes, increased motor function and electromyogram values, improved joint range of motion, and improved daily living activities.展开更多

At each solar intensity, the maximum power point of current/voltage (I/V) characteristic of the PV generator is achieved by perturbation and observation algorithm. The nonlinear behavior of (I/V) characteristics of the PV generator at various solar intensities and the magnetization curve of the ferromagnetic material of the DC shunt motor are described by high order polynomial mathematical expression. The dynamical analysis of the DC shunt motor fed by PV generator at different solar intensity has been carried out, also the dynamical analysis of DC shunt motor is investigated at a step change in solar intensity levels with fixed load at motor.展开更多

The Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA) is referred as the most predominant way to diagnose the faults of electrical machines. Since the detailed analysis of the current spectrum, the method will portray the typical fault state. This paper aims to present dissimilar stator faults which are classified under electrical faults using MCSA and the comparison of simulation and hardware results. The magnitude of these fault harmonics analyzes in detail by means of Finite-Element Method (FEM). The anticipated method can effectively perceive the trivial changes too during the operation of the motor and it shows in the results.
文摘Motion analyses are performed with the help of stability and simulation analysis, which can provide theoretical bases for applications of an electric vehicle with two independent drive motors. Compared with one-motor drive electric vehicle, the two-motor drive electric vehicle has the advantage of easy layout, simple power train and good drivability and handling characteristics. Analysis shows the method connecting armatures of two DC motors in parallel can function as mechanical differential without a steering sensor, which can simplify structure and increase reliability of the controller. Computer simulations and experiment are carried out to verify conclusions.

文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate feasibility of biofeedback therapy in China Medical Institutions to improve dysfunction following stroke. CONCLUSION: Following stroke, biofeedback therapy for dysfunction was shown to result in significant and valid outcomes, increased motor function and electromyogram values, improved joint range of motion, and improved daily living activities.

文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a rare neurodegenerative disease characterized by the involvement of both upper and lower motor neurons.Early bilateral limb involvement significantly affects patients'daily lives and may lead them to be confined to bed. However, the effect of upper and lower motor neuron impairment and other risk factors on bilateral limb involvement is unclear. To address this issue,we retrospectively collected data from 586 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with limb onset diagnosed at Peking University Third Hospital between January 2020 and May 2022.A univariate analysis revealed no significant differences in the time intervals of spread in different directions between individuals with upper motor neuron-dominant amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and those with classic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. We used causal directed acyclic graphs for risk factor determination and Cox proportional hazards models to investigate the association between the duration of bilateral limb involvement and clinical baseline characteristics in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients.Multiple factor analyses revealed that higher upper motor neuron scores(hazard ratio[HR]=1.05,95%confidence interval[CI]=1.01–1.09,P=0.018),onset in the left limb(HR=0.72,95%CI=0.58–0.89,P=0.002),and a horizontal pattern of progression(HR=0.46,95%CI=0.37–0.58,P<0.001)were risk factors for a shorter interval until bilateral limb involvement. The results demonstrated that a greater degree of upper motor neuron involvement might cause contralateral limb involvement to progress more quickly in limb-onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients. These findings may improve the management of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with limb onset and the prediction of patient prognosis.
文摘This paper presents the perturbation and observation (P & O) algorithm as maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method for the dynamical analysis of DC shunt motor fed by photovoltaic generator at different solar irradiance levels. The dynamical analysis of the DC shunt motor fed by PV generator at different solar intensity has been carried out, also the dynamical analysis of DC shunt motor is investigated at a step change in solar intensity levels with fixed load at motor.
文摘As permanent magnet motors and generators produce torque, vibration occurs through the small air gap due to the alternating magnetic forces created by the rotating permanent magnets and the current switching of the coils. The magnetic force can be calculated from the flux density by finite element methods and the Maxwell stress tensor in cy-lindrical coordinates. In this paper the magnetic flux density, the magnetic force and the torque of a real three dimen-sional brushless DC motor are simulated using Maxwell 3 D V 11.1.
