The thermodynam...Herein, a multi-index analysis of the nickel content of an alloy, output rate of the alloy, nickel recovery rate, and iron recovery rate during the melting of laterite metallized pellets was performed. The thermodynamic reduction behavior of oxides such as NiO, FeO, Fe_3 O_4, and Cr_2 O_3 was studied using the FactSage software, which revealed that SiO_2 is not conducive to the reduction of iron oxides, whereas the addition of basic oxides such as CaO and MgO is beneficial for the reduction of iron oxides. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis to achieve greater nickel recovery and lower iron recovery rates, the optimum experimental parameters in the orthogonal experiment were A3 B1 C3(t = 30 min, C/O = 0.4, R = 1.2); the indicators wNi, φalloy, ηNi, and ηFe had values of 15.0 wt%, 12.1%, 44.9%, and 96.4%, respectively. In single-factor experiments, increasing basicity(R) substantially improved the separation effect in the low-basicity range 0.5 ≤ R ≤ 0.8 but not in the high-basicity range 0.8 ≤ R ≤ 1.2. Similar results were obtained for the effect of the C/O ratio. Moreover, the recovery rate of nickel increased with increasing recovery rate of iron.展开更多

However, it is not feasible in block caving to generate a pr...Long-term planning is one of the most important stages that determines the distribution of cash flows over the mine life and the feasibility of the project. However, it is not feasible in block caving to generate a production schedule that will provide optimal operating strategies without considering geotechnical constraints. This paper develops a mixed-integer linear programming(MILP) model to optimize the extraction sequence of drawpoints over multiple time horizons of block-cave mines with respect to the draw control systems. A multi-similarity index clustering technique to solve the MILP model in a reasonable time is also presented. Application and comparison of production scheduling based on the draw control system and clustering technique are illustrated using 325 drawpoints over 15 periods. The results show a significant reduction in the size of the MILP model, and in the time required to solve it.展开更多

And, since the cache resource on the satellite is very valuable and limited, DRA problem under restricted cache resources is also an important issue to be studied. This paper mainly investigates the DRA problem of carrier resources under certain cache constraints. What's more, with the aim to satisfy all users' traffic demands as more as possible, and to maximize the utilization of the bandwidth, we formulate a multi-objective optimization problem(MOP) where the satisfaction index and the spectrum efficiency are jointly optimized. A modified strategy SA-NSGAII which combines simulated annealing(SA) and non-dominated sorted genetic algorithm-II(NSGAII) is proposed to approximate the Pareto solution to this MOP problem. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in terms of satisfaction index, spectrum efficiency, occupied cache, and etc.展开更多

To eliminate the complexity and uncertainty impacts of human factors on quantitative study,it proposes a method of building a parameter of ergonomic validity—multi-effect time by using cardiotachometer to record heart rate change,being used to evaluate the functional low-carbon ergonomic validity targeting at the ontological characteristics of kitchen. This method is used to determine the physical consumption intensity( multi-effect) through heart rate incremental relation based on the principles of physiology and ergonomics,and to confirm the ergonomic validity of environmental factors by the time to complete standard work as well as multi-effect quantitative analysis. The test results show that,under the kitchen operating conditions,the multi-effect( ME) can properly reflect the real-time status of the operator and is easily operated; the parameters obtained are not significantly related to the physiological status of the operator,and multi-effect time( MT) is sensitive to the physical consumption brought about to the operator due to kitchen environmental factors; thus,it can be taken as an objective index,which is simple and easy to operate in residential kitchen functional low-carbon evaluation.展开更多

We need to use the new multivariate diagnosis theory with two kinds of quality proposed by Prof. Zhang Gongxu in 1996 to solve such complex problem. The methodology starts from the inventory and geo-referencing of all pollution sources in an area, with the help of the multi-criteria decision analysis. Results are represented in a map of P, which highlights which areas are most at risk and need monitoring, and which pollutants may be involved. This may help in the early identification of emerging hazards to food safety. P was calculated for the milk production in an Italian region. Results show that 97% of the area is in a condition of minimum precaution that would be needed in controlling the safety of dairy products.展开更多

A solution to querying in Peer-to-Peer(P2P) environment was proposed to achieve both low processing cost in terms of the number of peers accessed and search messages and balanced query loads among peers. The system is based on a balanced tree structured P2P network. By partitioning the query space intelligently, the amount of query forwarding is effectively controlled, and the number of peers involved and search messages are also limited. Dynamic load balancing can be achieved during space partitioning and query resolving. Extensive experiments confirm the effectiveness and scalability of our algorithms on P2P networks.展开更多

Under th e condition of the market economy, the kernel of the enterprises’ functional dep artment has diverted to that of marketing decision-making, which face to market and meet with the need of consumption. Assuredly, the kernel of marketing decis ion-making is to prognosticate the future market demand of the production of en terprises accurately, so that it can ensure and realize the maximum of the enter prises’ profit increase. Using empirical research and the multi-regression technique, this paper ana lyzes the enterprises’ production demand forecast of the GMC (Global Management Challenge, held every year globally) and changes most of uncontrollable factors of demand forecast to the controllable ones of the enterprises. The method we us ed to forecast demand by using the multi-regression technique is as follows: 1. Look for the main factors which influence the demand of productions; 2. Establish the regression model; 3. Using the historical data, find the resolution of the correlative index an d do the prominent test; 4. Analyze and compare, regression, adjust parameter and optimize the regress ion model. Our method will make the forecast data closer to the actual prices of the future market requirement quantity in the production marketing decision-making of the enterprises and realize the optimizing combination and the working object w ith the minimum of the cost and the maximum of the profit. A received signal strength indicator (RSSI) is applied as a variable to estimate the inter-distance between agents. A key parameter that contains the local information of agents is defined, and a multi-variable controller is proposed based on the parameter. For the position control of agents, the RSSI is introduced to substitute the distance as a control variable in the systems. The advantages of RSSI include that the relative distance between every two agents can be adjusted through the communication quality under different environments, and it can shun the shortage of the limit of sensors. Simulation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.展开更多

In order to attain the purpose of economic design and long life span of prestressin g strand, the less relaxation property of strand type is suitable for constructi on and usage. Thus, the research and development of prestressing strand is requi red to reach the goals of high tensile strength and low relaxation. To ensure th e required quality of prestressing strand, the strand pull test and long period relaxation test are two important items for the quality assurance. There are thr ee specific items of the tensile strength test are belong to larger-the-better quality type. The quality type of smaller-the-better is for the long period r elaxation test. However, many existing methods are able to measure process capab ility for product with single quality characteristic and cannot be applied to mo st products with multiple properties. Thus, the indices of C pu and C pl, for larger-the-better and smaller-the-better quality type respec tively proposed by Kane, are quoted and combined to propose a new index to evalu ate the quality of multiple characteristics of prestressing strand in this paper . Then, the principle of statistics is used to derive the one-to-one mathemati cal relationship of this new index and ratio of tallied. Finally, the procedure and criteria to evaluate the quality of prestressing strand is proposed. This in tegrated multi-quality property capability analysis model can be used to evalua te the multi-process capabilities and provide continuous improvement on manufac turing process of prestressing strand.展开更多
