The research of aerodynamic braking has attracted more and more attentions in recent years. However, most researchers in this field focus on aerodynamic effects and seldom on issues of position control of the aerodynamic braking board. The purpose of this paper is to explore position control optimization of the braking board in an aerodynamic braking prototype. The mathematical models of the hydraulic drive unit in the aerodynamic braking system are analyzed in detail, and the simulation models are established. Three control functions--constant, linear, and quadratic--are explored. Two kinds of criteria, including the position steady-state error and the acceleration of the piston rod, are used to evaluate system performance. Simulation results show that the position steady state-error is reduced from around 12-2 mm by applying a linear instead of a constant function, while the acceleration is reduced from 25,71-3.70 m/s2 with a quadratic control function. Use of the quadratic control function is shown to improve system performance. Experimental results obtained by measuring the position response of the piston rod on a test-bench also suggest a reduced position error and smooth movement of the piston rod. This implies that the acceleration is smaller when using the quadratic function, thus verifying the effectiveness of control schemes to improve to system performance. This paper proposes an effective and easily implemented control scheme that improves the position response of hydraulic cylinders during position control.展开更多

To ensure the optimal projectile state is in the reachable domain of the carrying aircraft, the climb of the carrying aircraft and the flight of reentry body are optimized as a whole based on the hp-adaptive pseudospectral method. Meanwhile, the path constraints, control constraints and initial/terminal states constraints are considered in the optimization as well. In face of the fact that the range of the optimal control solution resulted from the pseudospectral method may be unsmooth, virtual control variables (second derivatives of the angle of attack and bank angle) are proposed in the optimization, while the angle of attack and bank angle are treated as the virtual state variables to guarantee the smoothness of the optimal control solution. The validity of the virtual control variables in smoothing the optimal control solution is verified by simulation, and the optimality of the resulting projectile state and control sequence for reaching the maximum range is confirmed using the indirect approach. ? 1990-2011 Beijing Institute of Aerospace Information.展开更多

文摘The constrained multi-objective multi-variable optimization of fans usually needs a great deal of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)calculations and is time-consuming.In this study,a new multi-model ensemble optimization algorithm is proposed to tackle such an expensive optimization problem. The multi-variable and multi-objective optimization are conducted with a new flexible multi-objective infill criterion. In addition, the search direction is determined by the multi-model ensemble assisted evolutionary algorithm and the feature extraction by the principal component analysis is used to reduce the dimension of optimization variables.First, the proposed algorithm and other two optimization algorithms which prevail in fan optimizations were compared by using test functions. With the same number of objective function evaluations, the proposed algorithm shows a fast convergency rate on finding the optimal objective function values. Then, this algorithm was used to optimize the rotor and stator blades of a large axial fan, with the efficiencies as the objectives at three flow rates, the high, the design and the low flow rate.Forty-two variables were included in the optimization process. The results show that compared with the prototype fan,the total pressure efficiencies of the optimized fan at the high, the design and the low flow rate were increased by 3.35%,3.07%and 2.89%,respectively,after CFD simulations for 500 fan candidates with the constraint for the design pressure. The optimization results validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

文摘The seamless trailing edge morphing flap is investigated using a high-fidelity steady-state aerodynamic shape optimization to determine its optimum configuration for different flight conditions, including climb, cruise, and gliding descent.A comparative study is also conducted between a wing equipped with morphing flap and a wing with conventional hinged flap. The optimization is performed by specifying a certain objective function and the flight performance goal for each flight condition.Increasing the climb rate, extending the flight range and endurance in cruise, and decreasing the descend rate, are the flight performance goals covered in this study.Various optimum configurations were found for the morphing wing by determining the optimum morphing flap deflection for each flight condition, based on its objective function, each of which performed better than that of the baseline wing.It was shown that by using optimum configuration for the morphing wing in climb condition, the required power could be reduced by up to 3.8%and climb rate increases by 6.13%.The comparative study also revealed that the morphing wing enhances aerodynamic efficiency by up to 17.8%and extends the laminar flow. Finally, the optimum configuration for the gliding descent brought about a 43%reduction in the descent rate.

文摘Compared with the traditional train, the operational speed of the high-speed train has largely improved, and thedynamicenvironmentofthetrainhaschangedfromoneof mechanical domination to one of aerodynamic domination. The aerodynamic problem has become the key technological challenge of high-speed trains and significantl affects the economy, environment, safety, and comfort. In this paper, the relationships among the aerodynamic design principle, aerodynamic performance indexes, and design variables are firs studied, and the research methods of train aerodynamics are proposed, including numerical simulation,a reducedscale test, and a full-scale test.Technological schemes of train aerodynamics involve the optimization design of the streamlined head and the smooth design of the body surface.Optimization design of the streamlined head includes conception design, project design, numerical simulation, and a reduced-scale test.Smooth design of the body surface is mainly used for the key parts, such as electric-current collecting system, wheel truck compartment, and windshield. The aerodynamic design method established in this paper has been successfully applied to various high-speed trains(CRH380A,CRH380 AM,CRH6,CRH2 G,and the Standard electric multiple unit(EMU)) that have met expected design objectives. The research results can provide an effective guideline for the aerodynamic design of high-speed trains.
文摘A multi-objective evolutionary optimization method (combining genetic algorithms(GAs)and game theory(GT))is presented for high lift multi-airfoil systems in aerospace engineering.Due to large dimension global op-timization problems and the increasing importance of low cost distributed parallel environments,it is a natural idea to replace a globar optimization by decentralized local sub-optimizations using GT which introduces the notion of games associated to an optimization problem. The GT/GAs combined optimization method is used for recon-struction and optimization problems by high lift multi-air-foil desing.Numerical results are favorably compared with single global GAs.The method shows teh promising robustness and efficient parallel properties of coupled GAs with different game scenarios for future advanced multi-disciplinary aerospace techmologies.

文摘A hypersonic aerodynamics analysis of an electromagnetic gun(EM gun) launched projectile configuration is undertaken in order to ameliorate the basic aerodynamic characteristics in comparison with the regular projectile layout.Static margin and pendulum motion analysis models have been applied to evaluate the flight stability of a new airframe configuration. With a steady state computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation, the basic density, pressure and velocity contours of the EM gun projectile flow field at Mach number 5.0,6.0 and 7.0(angle of attack=0°) have been analyzed.Furthermore, the static margin values are enhanced dramatically for the EM gun projectile with configuration optimization.Drag, lift and pitch property variations are all illustrated with the changes of Mach number and angle of attack.A particle ballistic calculation was completed for the pendulum analysis. The results show that the configuration optimized projectile, launched from the EM gun at Mach number 5.0 to 7.0,acts in a much more stable way than the projectiles with regular aerodynamic layout.

文摘As an improvement of traditional maximum range trajectory optimization, both the projectile state and control sequence of reentry body are optimized to achieve the maximum range. ? 1990-2011 Beijing Institute of Aerospace Information.
文摘For the accurate description of aerodynamic characteristics for aircraft,a wavelet neural network (WNN) aerodynamic modeling method from flight data, based on improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm with information sharing strategy and velocity disturbance operator,is proposed. In improved PSO algorithm,an information sharing strategy is used to avoid the premature convergence as much as possible;the velocity disturbance operator is adopted to jump out of this position once falling into the premature convergence.Simulations on lateral and longitudinal aerodynamic modeling for ATTAS (advanced technologies testing aircraft system) indicate that the proposed method can achieve the accuracy improvement of an order of magnitude compared with SPSO-WNN,and can converge to a satisfactory precision by only 60 120 iterations in contrast to SPSO-WNN with 6 times precocities in 200 times repetitive experiments using Morlet and Mexican hat wavelet functions.Furthermore,it is proved that the proposed method is feasible and effective for aerodynamic modeling from flight data.

文摘We present a new aerodynamic design method based on the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) and the adjoint approach. The flow field and the adjoint equation are numerically simulated by the GILBM (generalized form of interpolation supplemented LBM) on non-uniform meshes. The first-order approximation for the equilibrium dis- tribution function on the boundary is proposed to diminish the singularity of boundary conditions. Further, a new treatment of the solid boundary in the LBM is described par- ticularly for the airfoil optimization design problem. For a given objective function, the adjoint equation and its boundary conditions are derived analytically. The feasibility and accuracy of the new approach have been perfectly validated by the design optimization of NACA0012 airfoil.
