THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN A MULTI-CULTURAL BACKGROUND──The Studies of Minority Regions in the Western China

China is a country with many nationalities. Each of them has formed its own special culture, which is different from the mainstream of majority Han nationality, by adapting to geo-environment during history. Due to different backgrounds, the regional developmental model of minorities in the western China is different from the Han nationality and western countries. Combining a knowledge-based civilization and sustainable development, the minority areas can seek the systematic integration of culture-economy-ecology. Based on this, the paper suggests that the minority areas in western China should take the way of emphasizing developmental quality rather than developmental quantity for a harmonious system of culture-economy-ecology. Some approaches for developing minority areas in western China have been put foreword.

The Education ＆ Training and the Utilization of Multi-cultural Workforce

The international movement of workers and the inflow/outflow of immigrants are increasing, the term immigrant communities which country in the world is more familiar. Also, the country that accumulated a history of immigration over decades have been promoted while continuously changing the integration policies for immigrants. The immigration into home country such as the married immigrant women, etc. is constantly increasing in South Korea that had a homogeneous culture. While, it is continued to the overseas movement of young people looking for opportunities in foreign rather than domestic. In South Korea, the multi-cultural families are increasing together with the immigration of foreign workers, the marriage immigrants, etc. in accordance with the globalization of capital and labor, and the multi-cultural society is being formed in accordance with the influx of alien culture and various religious. In this paper, it explored the trends and the future outlook for the multi-cultural workforce in these dimensions. Also, in a multi-cultural society, it suggested the implications and the future assignments for the new changes in the education ＆ training and the employment in order to improve the quality of life and to use as the production entities of multi-cultural workforce.

Multi-Cultural Dynamics on Social Networks under External Random Perturbations

This work deals with the development of multi-cultural network-centric dynamic models under the influence of personal intra- and inter-members, as well as community. Each individual member of a society is influenced by her/his interactions with fellow members of the family, neighborhood, region and the universe. The behavior of such complex and highly interacting social networks is characterized by stochastic interconnected dynamical systems. The primary goal is on laying down an investigation of both qualitative and quantitative properties of this network dynamical system. In particular, we would like to determine the regions of conflicts and coexietence as well as to establish the cohesion and stability of emerging states. This is achieved by employing the method of system of differential inequalities and comparison theorems in the context of the energy function. The developed energy function method provides estimates for regions of conflict and cooperation. Moreover, the method also provides sufficient conditions for the community cohesion and stability in a systematic way.

The Cult of Tian Hou in the Mekong Delta： The Formation and Characteristics

Vietnam is the land of all original and absorbed goddesses in Southeast Asia. Local goddesses such as Lieu Hanh, Ba Chua Kho, Thien Yana Ponagar, Ba Den, Ba Chua Xu or external goddess such as Xi Wangmu （西王母）, Kwan Yin （观音）, Yao Chi Jin Mu （瑶池金母）, Tian Hou （天後）, Mother Dragon Goddess （龙母娘娘）, Jin Hua Goddess （金花夫人） etc. all are worshipped simultaneously throughout the nation. Among those, the cult of Tian Hou has become the most typical external goddess belief which absorbs both the cults of Kwan Yin and Xi Wang Mu, at the certain extend, become a symbol of harmonization. The cult of Tian Hou originated in Fujian, China and was gradually brought into South Vietnam after the footsteps of South Chinese immigrants during 17th-20th century. There are around 50 Tian Hou temples built and owned by the ethnic Hoa （华族/Chinese） and the Vietnamese at the Mekong River Delta. In the Mekong residents＇ mind, Tian Hou is seen as a maritime goddess, a protector, a benevolent Mother Goddess who has been accepted through the channels of Mahayana Buddhism and traditional goddess beliefs in the local communities. This paper is to investigate the current situation of the cult of Tian Hou in the Mekong River Delta to highlight the basic characteristics of this cult in the region.

A Brief Analysis of the Forms and Features of Traditional Residential Dwellings in Southern Shaanxi in the Shaanxi Section of the“Silk Road”by Land

As one of the major types of traditional architecture in China,traditional residential dwellings have been characterized by a variety of complex forms under the influence of different regional cultures and historical background.This paper takes the opportunity to study the art and culture of traditional dwelling architecture along the Silk Road,focusing on the traditional dwellings in the southern Shaanxi region,the starting point of the Silk Road,through field research and literature research,to further elaborate and prove the regional form of traditional dwellings in the southern Shaanxi region and the causes of the formation of this north-south architectural form.Therefore,the authors summarize and analyze the architectural forms,mapping data and images and demonstrate through detailed examples of remaining dwellings in southern Shaanxi,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the preservation and inheritance of traditional dwellings in southern Shaanxi in the future.

An Analysis on the Cultivation of Intercultural Consciousness in College English Teaching under the Background of Multiculturalism

Language,as the crystallization of culture,under the background of multiculturalism,the cultivation of intercultural consciousness in college English teaching has become an important task in English teaching,and it is also an important issue whether English teaching can adapt to the development of the times and meet the needs of talents.This paper explores the ways of cultivating intercultural consciousness in college English teaching in the context of multiculturalism from the perspectives of teachers'own ideas and concepts,the design of classroom teaching,the organization of teaching activities,the improvement and application of teaching techniques,the management of classroom teaching,and the individual level of students,so as to be helpful to English teaching in the new era.

Conscious Creative Treason and Translators' Subjectivity in Literary Translation

This paper centers on the development of translators’subjectivity by analyzing how conscious creative treason is appliedto literary translation. Based on one of the four patterns of manifestation for conscious creative treason intentional mistranslation, itis aimed to figure out dialectical unity relations between translators’subjectivity and conscious creative treason through the discus-sion on several typical cases.
