Recent studies have suggested that abnormal acidification of lysosomes induces autophagic accumulation of amyloid-βin neurons,which is a key step in senile plaque formation.Therefore,resto ring normal lysosomal function and rebalancing lysosomal acidification in neurons in the brain may be a new treatment strategy for Alzheimer's disease.Microtubule acetylation/deacetylation plays a central role in lysosomal acidification.Here,we show that inhibiting the classic microtubule deacetylase histone deacetylase 6 with an histone deacetylase 6 shRNA or thehistone deacetylase 6 inhibitor valproic acid promoted lysosomal reacidification by modulating V-ATPase assembly in Alzheimer's disease.Fu rthermore,we found that treatment with valproic acid markedly enhanced autophagy.promoted clearance of amyloid-βaggregates,and ameliorated cognitive deficits in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease.Our findings demonstrate a previously unknown neuroprotective mechanism in Alzheimer's disease,in which histone deacetylase 6 inhibition by valproic acid increases V-ATPase assembly and lysosomal acidification. 展开更多

Over recent decades, Gampaha district, Sri Lanka, has experienced significant urbanisation and industrial growth, increasing groundwater demand due to limited and polluted surface water resources. In 2013, a community uprising in Rathupaswala, a village in Gampaha district, accused a latex glove manufacturing factory of causing groundwater acidity (pH < 4). This study evaluates the spatial and temporal changes in geochemical parameters across three transects in the southern part of Gampaha district to 1) assess the impact of geological formations on groundwater;2) compare temporal variations in groundwater;and 3) explain acidification via a geochemical model. Seventy-two sample locations were tested for pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and anion concentrations (sulphate, nitrate, chloride and fluoride). Depth to the water table and distance from the sea were measured to study variations across sandy, peaty, lateritic, and crystalline aquifers. Results showed pH readings around 7 for sandy and crystalline aquifers, below 7 for peaty aquifers, and below 5 for lateritic aquifers, with significant water table fluctuations near Rathupaswala area. Principal component analysis revealed three principal components (PCs) explaining 86.0% of the variance. PC1 (40.6%) correlated with pH, EC, and sulphate (saltwater intrusion), while PC2 (32.0%) correlated with nitrates and depth to the water table (anthropogenic nutrient pollution). A geochemical transport model indicated a cone of depression recharged by acidic groundwater from peat-soil aquifers, leading to acidic groundwater in Rathupaswala area. Previous attributions of acidic pH to the over-exploitation of groundwater by the latex factory have been reevaluated;the results suggest natural acidification from prolonged water-rock interactions with iron-rich lateritic aquifers. Groundwater pH is influenced by local climate, geology, topography, and drainage systems. It is recommended that similar water-rock interaction conditions may be present throughout the wet zone of Sri Lanka, warranting detailed studies to confirm this hypothesis. 展开更多

To sort out reasonable agricultural practices favorable to abating soil acidification, the task of this study was directed to a long-term field trial in Chongqing, dudng which chemical fertilizer, organic fertilizer were applied to different crop rotations and the soil pH value was measured. The results indicated that all treatments decreased pH value in the 0 to 20 cm soil layer after ten years. Problems were more serious when chlorine-containing fertilizer, excessive chemical fertilizer and mixed fertilizer were applied. It is demonstrated that balance rates of N, P and K fertilizers, application of muck in field are advantageous to abating soil acidification. Oil plants affect soil acidification more than cereal in different crop rotation. 展开更多

Significance of Ligand Exchange Relating to Sulfate in Retarding Acidification of Variable Charge Soils Caused by Acid Rain

For the purpose of evaluating the role of ligand exchange of sulfate ions in retarding the rate of acidification of variable charge soils, the changes in pH after the addition of different amounts of HNO_3 or H_2SO_4 to representative soils of China were measured. A difrerence between pH changes caused by the two kinds of acids was observed only for variable charge soils and kaolinite, but not for consted charge soils and bentonite. The larger the proportion of H_2SO_4 in the HNO_3-H_2SO_4 mixture, the lower the calculated H ̄+ ion activities remained in the suspension. The difference in H ̄+ ion activities between H_2SO_4 systems and HNO_3 systems was larger for soils with a low base-saturation (BS) percentage than those with a high BS percentage. The removal of free iron oxides from the soil led to a decrease in the difference, while the coating of Fe_2O_3 ona bentonite resulted in a remarkable appearance of the difference. The effect of ligand exchange on the acidity status of the soil varied with the soil type. SurfaCe soils with a hash organic matter content showed a less pronounced effect of ligand exchange than subsoils did. It was estimated that when acid rain chiefly containing H_2SO_4 was deposited on variable charge soils the acidilication rate might be slower by 20%-40% than that when the acid rain chiefly contained HNO_3 for soils with a high organic matter content, and that the rate might be half of that caused by HNO_3 for soils with a low organic matter content, especially for latosols. 展开更多

It was found that the biomass production and elongation of C. lanceolata was seriously inhibited at pH 2.0 rain, but for S. superba, was not affected markedly. When pH values of experimental rain were higher than 2.0, the root growth of both species was not adversely affected. Aluminium had already accumulated to some degrees in the roots of both trees, and started to affect the root growth of C. lanceolata at pH 2.0 rain. The soil chemistry was also examined. Increased acidity of experimental rain increased the leaching of Ca and Mg. The Al/Ca mol ratio increased from 0.3 to 0.9 in top soil, and in rhizosphere to 1.5 when the pH values of simulated acid rain were 4.5 to 2.0. In this experiment, NO3- fertilization effect was discovered. 展开更多

【目的】分析广西甘蔗主产区土壤pH现状和分布特点及土壤pH与交换性盐基离子含量、土壤交换性铝含量的关系,为探明广西蔗区土壤酸化机制及土壤酸化治理提供科学依据。【方法】2023年春季在广西15个甘蔗种植面积较大的县(区、市)共采集51... 【目的】分析广西甘蔗主产区土壤pH现状和分布特点及土壤pH与交换性盐基离子含量、土壤交换性铝含量的关系,为探明广西蔗区土壤酸化机制及土壤酸化治理提供科学依据。【方法】2023年春季在广西15个甘蔗种植面积较大的县(区、市)共采集515个地块的0~20 cm土壤样品,分别采用去离子水、0.01 mol/L CaCl_(2)溶液和1 mol/L KCl溶液测定土壤pH[分别标记为pH(H_(2)O)、pH(CaCl_(2))和pH(KCl)],同时测定交换性盐基离子、交换性酸和交换性铝含量,分析土壤pH与交换性盐基离子和盐基饱和度的关系,以及交换性铝积累对土壤p H的响应。【结果】广西甘蔗主产区土壤p H(H_(2)O)平均值为4.52,其中pH(H_(2)O)<4.5的强酸性土壤占63.9%;pH(CaCl_(2))和p H(KCl)平均值分别为4.06和3.71,与pH(H_(2)O)相比分别低0.46和0.81。土壤交换性酸平均含量为4.59 cmol/kg,且>6.0 cmol/kg的土壤占比32.8%。交换性铝是交换性酸的主要组分,在交换性酸含量>4.0 cmol/kg的土壤中,交换性铝占比超过80.0%。交换性铝含量与pH(KCl)的拟合优度最高(R^(2)=0.9005),当土壤交换性铝含量为2.0cmol/kg时,其所对应的pH(H_(2)O)、pH(CaCl_(2))和pH(KCl)的平均值分别为4.67、4.07和3.66。土壤交换性钙、交换性镁和交换性钾的平均含量分别为4.67、0.42和0.49cmol/kg,土壤交换性钙含量<1.5 cmol/kg的土壤占比31.1%,交换性镁含量<0.25 cmol/kg的土壤占比31.7%,交换性钾含量以介于0.2~0.6 cmol/kg的土壤占多数,约为46.8%。土壤盐基饱和度平均为49.5%,且有15.3%的土壤盐基饱和度在20%以下。盐基饱和度、交换性钙和交换性镁含量与土壤pH(H_(2)O)、pH(CaCl_(2))和pH(KCl)均呈极显著正相关(P<0.01)。【结论】广西甘蔗主产区出现严重的土壤酸化现象,pH≤4.5的土壤占大多数。钙镁缺乏、盐基饱和度偏低和铝毒危害风险较高已成为广西甘蔗主产区土壤酸化的主要特征。 展开更多

为探明不同种植制度和施肥措施对黑土酸化指标的影响及酸缓冲机制,依托东北旱田黑土肥力监测长期定位试验,研究了大豆连作(CS)、玉米连作(CC)以及玉米大豆轮作下玉米施化肥-大豆施化肥(C_(CF)S_(CF))、玉米施化肥+秸秆还田-大豆不施化肥... 为探明不同种植制度和施肥措施对黑土酸化指标的影响及酸缓冲机制,依托东北旱田黑土肥力监测长期定位试验,研究了大豆连作(CS)、玉米连作(CC)以及玉米大豆轮作下玉米施化肥-大豆施化肥(C_(CF)S_(CF))、玉米施化肥+秸秆还田-大豆不施化肥+秸秆还田(C_(CR)S_(NOR))、玉米施化肥-大豆不施化肥(C_(CF)S_(NOF))、玉米施化肥-大豆施1/2化肥(C_(CF)S_(1/2CF))以及玉米施化肥-大豆施有机肥(C_(CF)S_(DM))7个处理在第9年和第10年的土壤酸化速率(SAR)和酸中和容量(ANC)的变化,并利用二次多项式模型拟合酸滴定曲线,以pH 5.0和pH 4.5为参比计算了土壤ANC以及酸缓冲容量(ABC)。结果发现:相比于试验土壤本底值,试验第9年和第10年SAR变化幅度为-0.019~-0.097ΔpH/a,其中C_(CF)S_(DM)处理的SAR在两年中变化最小(-0.021和-0.019ΔpH/a);试验第9年C_(CF)S_(CF)、C_(CR)S_(NOR)、C_(CF)S_(NOF)、C_(CF)S_(1/2CF)和C_(CF)S_(DM)处理的土壤ANC_(pH5.0)是试验第10年的1.11~1.77倍;土壤ANC_(pH4.5)变化趋势与ANC_(pH5.0)相一致。方差分解分析显示,土壤有机质和盐基离子总量是影响土壤ANC变化的主要因素,二者分别解释了试验处理第9年和第10年土壤ANC和ABC变化的63.44%和43.67%。综上可见,施化肥降低土壤酸中和容量,加速土壤酸化,而有机肥施用可通过提高土壤有机质和盐基离子总量提高黑土酸中和容量。 展开更多

在高温高压低渗透储层中,采用缓释酸体系是实现深层酸侵蚀和提高酸效率的关键。对一种新型缓释酸在高压高温酸化应用中的性能进行了实验评估。该缓释机制采用基于聚合物树脂的配方,限制酸液分子的质子迁移能力。实验选用石灰岩样本,分... 在高温高压低渗透储层中,采用缓释酸体系是实现深层酸侵蚀和提高酸效率的关键。对一种新型缓释酸在高压高温酸化应用中的性能进行了实验评估。该缓释机制采用基于聚合物树脂的配方,限制酸液分子的质子迁移能力。实验选用石灰岩样本,分为两组实验,一组在120℃条件下进行,另一组在150℃条件下进行,酸注入速率为0.5~10 cm^(3)·min^(-1)。监测了酸穿透所需的孔隙体积(PVBT)。在120℃和150℃条件下,最佳注入速率分别为2.5 cm^(3)·min^(-1)和7 cm^(3)·min^(-1),对应的PVBT分别为0.40 PV和0.43 PV。结果表明,形成有效的虫洞剖面,呈现出主要的单一轨迹以及少量的分支。结果得到了电感耦合等离子体(ICP)分析测定的钙离子浓度分布图的验证。采用该有机多元酸体系可以实现更深的酸侵蚀,并且所需注入的酸体积较小,作业效率更高。 展开更多

土壤酸化已成为全球农业系统中最严重的土地退化问题之一。综述了土壤酸化的自然和人为驱动因素及过程,土壤酸化对土壤无机碳和有机碳的影响;比较了有机、无机、生物和复合改良剂改良土壤酸性、培育基础肥力和增加有机碳库的优缺点。基... 土壤酸化已成为全球农业系统中最严重的土地退化问题之一。综述了土壤酸化的自然和人为驱动因素及过程,土壤酸化对土壤无机碳和有机碳的影响;比较了有机、无机、生物和复合改良剂改良土壤酸性、培育基础肥力和增加有机碳库的优缺点。基于此,为推进土壤酸性改良、基础肥力培育与有机碳库协同提升,经过总结分析提出:(1)建立土壤酸性与碱酸离子组成关系的量化模型,构建土壤酸性-基础肥力-有机碳库相互作用机制模型,形成以“离子平衡”和“多功能协同”改良酸性土壤的理论框架;(2)基于酸碱离子平衡的土壤酸性分级指标、土壤-作物系统酸碱离子平衡计量方法,明确土壤酸碱离子平衡、养分离子活化、含碳组分稳固的协同路径和降酸、培肥、固碳、减污协同提升的土壤功能技术,构建化肥配施无机改良剂的离子平衡精准改良土壤酸性技术体系和有机-无机-生物联合的多功能协同提升绿色改良酸性土壤技术体系。研究旨在为我国农业的绿色可持续发展提供借鉴。 展开更多
