The linear precoding schemes were proposed to mitigate interferences between the base stations (inter-cell). These schemes are categorized into linear and non-linear;this study focused on linear precoding schemes, which are grounded into three types, namely Zero Forcing (ZF), Block Diagonalization (BD), and Signal Leakage Noise Ratio (SLNR). The study included the Cooperative Multi-cell Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) System, whereby each Base Station serves more than one mobile station and all Base Stations on the system are assisted by each other by shared the Channel State Information (CSI). Based on the Multi-Cell Multiuser MIMO system, each Base Station on the cell is intended to maximize the data transmission rate by its mobile users by increasing the Signal Interference to Noise Ratio after the interference has been mitigated due to the usefully of linear precoding schemes on the transmitter. Moreover, these schemes used different approaches to mitigate interference. This study mainly concentrates on evaluating the performance of these schemes through the channel distribution models such as Ray-leigh and Rician included in the presence of noise errors. The results show that the SLNR scheme outperforms ZF and BD schemes overall scenario. This implied that when the value of SNR increased the performance of SLNR increased by 21.4% and 45.7% for ZF and BD respectively.展开更多

Both LOS and NLOS scenarios are considered. The results on path loss, delay spread and spatial correlation are presented. The measurement shows that, for corridor coverage,2×2 MIMO is more economical than 4×4 MIMO due to high correlation. In order to identify the unique characteristics at the high frequency band, the measured channel parameters at 6. 0-6. 4 GHz are compared with those at 2. 45 GHz. The comparison shows that the shortened wavelength of this higher frequency band results in a great difference of channel characteristics. Therefore, our measurement results provide new guidance for the design and development of the system working on 6. 0-6. 4 GHz band.展开更多

In this paper, a novel Zero-Forcing (ZF) precoding method is proposed and investigated for multi-cell Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) systems. We propose a relaxed ZF precoding method by relaxing the ZF criterion to some degree so that the inter-cell interference may not be zero. Complexity analysis shows that compared with the conventional ZF method, the additional computation complexity for the proposed method is trivial. Simulation results show that the proposed relaxed ZF method has better performance than the conventional ZF method in terms of the sum-rate, especially at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR).展开更多

Given the transmit powers of both the uplink and the downlink, the closed-form solutions of the optimal number of antennas and the maximum EE are achieved in the high regime of the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR). The proposed GP-PDA method divides all the transmit antennas into groups, and then updates the symbol probabilities group by group using PDA computations. If the frequency response function matrices are ill-conditioned, the noises in the driving forces will be amplified and the response spectral lines may awfully exceed their tolerances. Most of the major biases between the response spectra and the reference spectra are produced by the amplified noises. However, ordinary control algorithms can hardly reduce the level of noises. The influences of the noises on both the auto- and cross-power spectra are analyzed in this paper. As a conventional frequency domain method on the inverse problem, the Tikhonov filter is adopted in the environment test to suppress the exceeding spectral lines. By altering regularization parameters gradually, the auto-power spectra can be improved in a closed control loop. Instead of using the traditional way of selecting regularization parameters, we observe the coherence change to estimate noise eliminations. Incidentally, the requirement of coherence control can be realized. The errors of the phase are then studied and a phase control algorithm is introduced at the end as a supplement of cross-power spectra control. The Tikhonov filter and the proposed phase control algorithm are tested numerically and experimentally. The results show that the noises in the vicinity of lightly damped resonant peaks are more stubborn. The response spectra are able to be greatly improved by the combination of these two methods.展开更多

The studied converter includes two parallel DC-DC boost converters, which are connected into the power grid through a single-phase H-bridge inverter. The proposed MIMO controller is developed for maximum power point tracking of photovoltaic(PV)/fuel-cell(FC) input power sources and output power control of the grid-connected DC-AC inverter. Considering circuit topology of the system, a unique MIMO model is proposed for the analysis of the entire system. A unique model of the system includes all of the circuit state variables in DCDC and DC-AC converters. In fact, from the viewpoint of closed-loop controller design, the hybrid grid-connected energy system is an MIMO system. The control inputs of the system are duty cycles of the DC-DC boost converters and the amplitude modulation index of DC-AC inverters. Furthermore, the control outputs are the output power of the PV/FC input power sources as well as AC power injected into the power grid. After the development of the unique model for the entire system, a decoupling network is introduced for system input-output linearization due to inherent connection of the control outputs with all of the system inputs. Considering the decoupled model and small signal linearization, the required linear controllers are designed to adjust the outputs. Finally, to evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of the designed controllers, the PV/FC based grid-connected system is simulated using the MATLAB/Simulink toolbox.展开更多

A minimum number of training symbols, very close to the number of receiver antenna elements, are used to provide a rough initial least squares estimate of the beamformer's weight vector. A novel cost function combining the constant modulus criterion with decision-directed adaptation is adopted to adapt the beamformer weight vector. This cost function can be approximated as a quadratic form with a closed-form solution, based on which we then derive the recursive least squares (RLS) semi-blind adaptive beamforming algorithm. In practice,CSI can be obtained by channel estimation at receiver and conveyed to transmitter via a limited-rate feedback channel. In such case, the implementation of traditional UCD by treating the imperfect CSI as perfect CSI cause significant performance degradation due to inevitable channel estimation error and vector quantization error. To overcome this problem,a practical robust UCD scheme was proposed in this paper, which includes two steps, firstly,a matching architecture was proposed to eliminate the mismatch between CSI at receiver (CSIR) and CSI at transmitter (CSIT),secondly,an MMSE based robust UCD scheme considering channel estimation error and vector quantization error as an integral part of the design was derived. Simulation results show that the proposed practical robust UCD scheme is capable of improving the BER performance greatly in the context of channel estimation error and vector quantization error compared with the traditional UCD scheme.展开更多

An optimization method is used to obtain a RC compensator that ensures system stability and good tracking performance. The designed compensator is in the form of a stable, low order, and causal filter, in which the compensator can be implemented separately without being merged with the RC internal model. This will reduce complexity in the implementation. Simulation results and comparison study are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design. In order to ensure that the design carried out with the approximants still provides satisfactory results for the original system, a criterion of approximation should be explicitly taken into account in the design formulation. This paper derives such a criterion for multi-input multi-output(MIMO) feedback systems whose design objective is to ensure that the absolute values of every error and every controller output components always stay within prescribed bounds whenever the inputs satisfy certain bounding conditions. The obtained criterion generalizes a known result which was derived for single-input single-output(SISO) systems; furthermore, for a given rational approximant matrix, it is expressed as a set of inequalities that can be solved in practice. Finally, a controller for a binary distillation column is designed by using the criterion in conjunction with the method of inequalities. The numerical results clearly demonstrate that the usefulness of the criterion in obtaining a design solution for the original system.展开更多

文摘Uniform channel decomposition (UCD) has been proven to be optimal in bit error rate (BER) performance and strictly capacity lossless when perfect channel state information (CSI) is assumed to be available at both the transmitter and receiver side. Simulation results show that the proposed practical robust UCD scheme is capable of improving the BER performance greatly in the context of channel estimation error and vector quantization error compared with the traditional UCD scheme.
文摘This paper presents the design of decentralized repetitive control (RC) for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. The novelty of design is also verified in experiments on a 2 degrees of freedom (DOF) robot.

文摘As a generalization of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) OFDM systems are very sensitive to carrier frequency offset (CFO). This paper proposes a blind CFO estimation method based on power spectrum analysis, which has high bandwidth efficiency and is much less complex. This method can be used to estimate the residual CFO, which is less than half of the subcarrier spacing. The method uses a cosine cost function to get a closed-form CFO estimate. Simulation results illustrate that the method is effective for MIMO OFDM systems.

文摘A multi-input multi-output(MIMO)detection scheme that requires considerable low complexity but still achieves the near optimal performance is proposed. The fundamental idea of the proposed MIMO detection scheme consists of two points:1)the computational complexity is restrained by a complexity limit in low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)region;2)while in high SNR region, the complexity is significantly reduced by the proposed search space method.Comparing with existing fixed-complexity techniques of MIMO detection(e.g.,K-best sphere detector and reduced-search maximum-likelihood(RS ML)detection),the significant benefit of proposed detection scheme is that less computational power will be spent for the given data rate,or the throughput of detector can be increased for high SNR cases.According to the simulation results, the near optimal performance can be obtained while the detection complexity is kept considerable small.

文摘When a feedback system has components described by non-rational transfer functions, a standard practice in designing such a system is to replace the non-rational functions with rational approximants and then carry out the design with the approximants by means of a method that copes with rational systems. The numerical results clearly demonstrate that the usefulness of the criterion in obtaining a design solution for the original system.
