Still, many existing secondary voltage control strategies neglect the co-regulation of the voltage at the point of common coupling(PCC) in the AC multi-MG system(MMS). When an MMS consists of sub-MGs connected in series, power flow between the sub-MGs is not possible if the PCC voltage regulation relies on traditional consensus control objectives. In addition, communication faults and sensor faults are inevitable in the MMS. Therefore, a resilient voltage regulation strategy based on containment control is proposed.First, the feedback linearization technique allows us to deal with the nonlinear distributed generation(DG) dynamics, where the PCC regulation problem of an AC MG is transformed into an output feedback tracking problem for a linear multi-agent system(MAS) containing nonlinear dynamics. This process is an indispensable pre-processing in control algorithm design. Moreover, considering the unavailability of full-state measurements and the potential faults present in the sensors, a novel follower observer is designed to handle communication faults. Based on this, a controller based on containment control is designed to achieve voltage regulation. In regulating multiple PCC voltages to a reasonable upper and lower limit, a voltage difference exists between sub-MGs to achieve power flow. In addition, the secondary control algorithm avoids using global information of directed communication network and fault boundaries for communication link and sensor faults. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the proposed strategy.展开更多

At the same time, large-scale non grid connected wind power generation theory avoids the technical difficulties of wind power integration [1]. However, due to the randomness and uncontrollability of wind energy, the output power of the wind power generation system will fluctuate accordingly [2]. Therefore, the corresponding energy storage devices are arranged in the non-grid-connected wind power generation system to ensure the power quality, and it has become the key to full utilization of renewable energy. In the case of wind speed fluctuation, the DC bus control strategy of the wind turbine is proposed in this paper. It can reduce the impact on the unit converter and the power load;this ensures safe and stable operation of non-grid connected wind turbines.展开更多

SR machines have a robust with simple structure because they have no windings or permanent magnets on the rotor, so they are capable of working at high speed application and at rough condition. However, due to nonlinear nature, doubly salient poles, time variant parameters, and non-ideal current waveform, The SRG output voltage inherently contains ripples. The proposed voltage controller is based on fuzzy logic that is very efficient over uncertainty and parameter variations. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by comparing the obtained result with that of a PI-controller.展开更多

In additional to that, the high proportions of erratic renewable energy sources can lead to erratic frequency changes which affect the grid stability. In order to reduce this effect, the energy storage system is commonly used in most wind-solar energy systems to balance the voltage and frequency instability during load variations. One of the innovative energy storage systems is the compressed air energy storage system (CAES) for wind and solar hybrid energy system and this technology is the key focus in this research study. The aim of this research was to examine the system configuration of the CAES system through modelling and experimental approach with PID controller design for regulating the voltage and frequency under different load conditions. The essential elements and the entire system have been presented in this work as thorough modelling in the MATLAB/Simulink environment for different load conditions. The developed model was tested through an experimental workbench using the developed prototype of the compressed air storage in the Siemens Lab at DeKUT and explored the consequence of the working parameters on the system proficiency and the model accuracy. The performance of the system for the developed prototype of CAES system was validated using results from an experimental workbench with MATLAB/Simulink R2022b simulation. The modeling and experimental results, shows that the frequency fluctuation and voltage drop of the developed CAES system during load variations was governed by the I/P converter using a PID_Compact controller programed in the TIA Portal V17 software and downloaded into PLC S7 1200. Based on these results, the model can be applied as a basis for the performance assessment of the compressed air energy storage system so as to be included in current technology of wind and solar hybrid energy systems.展开更多

文摘The output uncertainty of high-proportion distributed power generation severely affects the system voltage and frequency.Simultaneously, controllable loads have also annually increased, which markedly improve the capability for nodal-power control. To maintain the system frequency and voltage magnitude around rated values,a new multi-objective optimization model for both voltage and frequency control is proposed. Moreover,a great similarity between the multiobjective optimization and game problems appears. To reduce the strong subjectivity of the traditional methods, the idea and method of the game theory are introduced into the solution.According to the present situational data and analysis of the voltage and frequency sensitivities to nodal-power variations, the design variables involved in the voltage and frequency control are classified into two strategy spaces for players using hierarchical clustering. Finally, the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed control are verified in MATLAB.

文摘The Vienna rectifier with unbalanced input voltage and load transient is analyzed.A nonlinear control strategy for Vienna rectifier under unbalanced input is proposed. From the view of positive and negative sequence components, the proposed nonlinear control strategy suppresses the twice frequency ripple and guarantees the dynamic response characteristic at the same time. Thanks to the proposed nonlinear control strategy, the DC bus capacitor can be reduced a lot since the voltage ripple and drop can be suppressed.A 10 kW Vienna rectifier is built to verify the proposed control strategy. After applying the proposed nonlinear control strategy, the voltage ripple is only7 V and decreases over 75%over the traditional PI control when the unbalanced degree is 20%.The voltage drop can be reduced about 80%than former control strategy which is helpful to reduce the DC bus capacitor and achieve higher power density. The volume of the capacitor can be reduced by 83.3%with the new control method.

文摘Half-wavelength transmission can transmit large-scale renewable energy over very long distances. This paper proposes an improved steady-state voltage-control method for half-wavelength transmission systems considering largescale wind-power transmission.First, the unique voltage characteristics of half-wavelength lines are deduced based on the distributed parameter model. In the secondary voltage-control level, reactive power-transmission limits of half-wavelength lines are introduced as another control objective except for tracing the pilot bus voltage reference.Considering the uncertainty and fluctuation of wind power, the overvoltage risk-assessment method of half-wavelength lines is presented to determine specific voltage-control strategies.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed voltage-control method delivers superior tracking performance according to a voltage reference value and prevents the overvoltage risk of halfwavelength lines effectively in different wind-power penetrations.
文摘This paper proposes a new concept of synthesized voltage vector to address dead-time effect issue for Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control(FCS-MPC)technique.For a voltage source inverter(VSI),dead-time is inevitably inserted between the turn off and turn on instants of power devices to avoid short circuit phenomenon. The influence of dead-time leads to output voltage vector error of three-phase inverters.Furthermore,it will result in computing deviation in cost function, and will deteriorate the performance of the system if not properly dealt with.In this paper, the problem is clearly analyzed, and the solution to this issue is proposed by introducing a synthesized voltage vector. The proposed solution is verified by Hardware-in-the-loop(HiL)test in real time, and results validate the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
文摘The large-scale development of wind power is an important means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, alleviate environmental pollution and improve the utilization rate of renewable energy. It can reduce the impact on the unit converter and the power load;this ensures safe and stable operation of non-grid connected wind turbines.

文摘In the last decades the voltage regulation has been challenged by the increase of power variability in the electric grid, due to the spread of non-dispatchable generation sources. This paper introduces a Smart Transformer(ST)-based Medium Voltage(MV)grid support by means of active power control in the ST-fed Low Voltage(LV)grid. The aim of the proposed strategy is to improve the voltage profile in MV grids before the operation of On-Load Tap Changer in the primary substation transformer, which needs tens of seconds. This is realized through reactive power injection by the AC/DC MV converter and simultaneous decrease of the active power consumption of voltage-dependent loads in ST-fed LV grid, controlling the ST output voltage. The last feature has two main effects:the first is to reduce the active power withdrawn from MV grid, and consequently the MV voltage drop caused by the active current component. At the same time, higher reactive power injection capability in the MV converter is unlocked, due to the lower active power demand. As result, the ST increases the voltage support in MV grid. The analysis and simulation results carried out in this paper show improvements compared to similar solutions,i.e.the only reactive power compensation. The impact of the proposed solution has been finally evaluated under different voltage-dependence of the loads in the LV grid.

文摘Voltage sags in power system may lead to serious problems such as the off-grid of distributed generation and electrical equipment failures. As a novel type of power electronic equipment,a flexible multi-state switch(FMSS)is capable to support the voltage during the grid faults. In this paper,a voltage control strategy to support the voltage in a distribution network is proposed by introducing three-port FMSS.The positive-negative-sequence compensation(PNSC)scheme is adopted to control the active and reactive current. This control scheme eliminates active power oscillations at the port of voltage sags and reduces coupling oscillations of other ports.Based on the characteristics of the voltage support under PNSC scheme, two voltage support strategies are proposed.A proportional-integral controller is introduced to provide the reactive power references, which eliminates the errors when estimating the grid voltage and impedance.A current limiting scheme is adopted to keep the port current in a safe range by adjusting the active and reactive power references. The voltage support strategies in two different voltage sags are simulated, and results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control strategies.
文摘This paper presents a voltage controller for a 12/8 switched reluctance generator (SRG). The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by comparing the obtained result with that of a PI-controller.

文摘The aim of this paper is to investigate an adaptive sensorless direct voltage control(DVC)strategy for the stand-alone ship shaft brushless doubly-fed induction generators(BDFIGs).The proposed new rotor position observer using the space vector flux relations of BDFIG may achieve the desired voltage control of the power winding(PW)in terms of magnitude and frequency, without any speed/position sensors. The proposed algorithm does not require any additional observers for obtaining the generator speed. The proposed technique can directly achieve the desired DVC based on the estimated rotor position, which may reduce the overall system cost. The stability analysis of the proposed observer is investigated and confirmed with the concept of quadratic Lyapunov function and using the multi-model representation. In addition, the sensitivity analysis of the presented method is confirmed under different issues of parameter uncertainties.Comprehensive results from both simulation and experiments are realized with a prototype wound-rotor BDFIG,which demonstrate the capability and efficacy of the proposed sensorless DVC strategy with good transient behavior under different operating conditions.Furthermore, the analysis confirms the robustness of the proposed observer via the machine parameter changes.
文摘The intermittent nature of wind and solar photovoltaic energy systems leads to the fluctuation of power generated due to the fact that the power output is highly dependent upon local weather conditions, which results to the load shading issue that led to the voltage and frequency instability. Based on these results, the model can be applied as a basis for the performance assessment of the compressed air energy storage system so as to be included in current technology of wind and solar hybrid energy systems.
