There is a growing need to explore the potential of coal-fired power plants(CFPPs)to enhance the utilization rate of wind power(wind)and photovoltaic power(PV)in the green energy field.This study developed a load regu...There is a growing need to explore the potential of coal-fired power plants(CFPPs)to enhance the utilization rate of wind power(wind)and photovoltaic power(PV)in the green energy field.This study developed a load regulation model for a multi-power generation system comprising wind,PV,and coal energy storage using realworld data.The power supply process was divided into eight fundamental load regulation scenarios,elucidating the influence of each scenario on load regulation.Within the framework of the multi-power generation system with the wind(50 MW)and PV(50 MW)alongside a CFPP(330 MW),a lithium-iron phosphate energy storage system(LIPBESS)was integrated to improve the system’s load regulation flexibility.The energy storage operation strategy was formulated based on the charging and discharging priority of the LIPBESS for each basic scenario and the charging and discharging load calculation method of LIPBESS auxiliary regulation.Through optimization using the particle swarm algorithm,the optimal capacity of LIPBESS was determined to be within the 5.24-4.88 MWh range.From an economic perspective,the LIPBESS operating with CFPP as the regulating power source was 49.1% lower in capacity compared to the renewable energy-based storage mode.展开更多

The East China Grid(ECG) is the main hydropower receiver of the west–east power transmission channel in China. Moreover, it has been subject to a rapidly increasing rate of hydropower integration over the past decade. Currently, large-scale outer hydropower is one of the primary ECG power sources. However, the integration of rapidly increasing outer hydropower into the power grid is subject to a series of severe drawbacks. Therefore, this study considered the load demands and hydropower transmission characteristics for the analysis of several major problems and the determination of appropriate solutions. The power supply-demand balance problem, hydropower transmission schedule problem, and peakshaving problem were considered in this study. Correspondingly, three solutions are suggested in this paper, which include coordination between the outer hydropower and local power sources, an inter-provincial power complementary operation, and the introduction of a market mechanism. The findings of this study can serve as a basis to ensure that the ECG effectively receives an increased amount of outer hydropower in the future.展开更多
For a series plug-in hybrid electric vehicle,higher working efficiency can be achieved by the drive system with two small motors in parallel than that with one big motor alone.However,the overly complex structure will...For a series plug-in hybrid electric vehicle,higher working efficiency can be achieved by the drive system with two small motors in parallel than that with one big motor alone.However,the overly complex structure will inevitably lead to a substantial increase in the development cost.To improve the system price-performance ratio,a new kind of series-parallel hybrid system evolved from the series plug-in hybrid system is designed.According to the technical parameters of the selected components,the system model is established,and the vehicle dynamic property and pure electric drive economy are evaluated.Based on the dynamic programming,the energy management strategy for the drive system under the city driving cycle is developed,and the superiority validation of the system is completed.For the studied vehicle driven by the designed series-parallel plug-in hybrid system,compared with the one driven by the described series plug-in hybrid system,the dynamic property is significantly improved because of the multi-power coupling,and the fuel consumption is reduced by 11.4%with 10 city driving cycles.In a word,with the flexible configuration of the designed hybrid system and the optimized control strategy of the energy management,the vehicle performance can be obviously improved.展开更多

The limited bandwidth, the severely impaired channel and the cost of underwater equipment all make the...In this paper, we study an area localization problem in large scale underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs). The limited bandwidth, the severely impaired channel and the cost of underwater equipment all make the underwater localization problem very challenging. Exact localization is very difficult for UWSNs in deep underwater environment. We propose a range free method based on mobile detachable elevator transceiver (DET) and 3D multi-power area localization scheme (3D-MALS) to address the challenging problem. In the proposed scheme, the ideas of 2D multi-power area localization scheme (2D-ALS) and utilizing DET are used to achieve the simplicity, location accuracy, scalability and low cost performances. The DET can rise and get down to broadcast its position. And it is assumed that all the underwater nodes underwater have pressure sensors and know their z coordinates. We evaluate the performances of 2D-ALS and our proposed 3D-MALS schemes under both ideal and non-ideal channel propagation conditions, in terms of localization error and localization ratio. The simulation results show that our proposed scheme is much more efficient than the 2D-ALS.展开更多
