This was accomplished with the help of a digital elevation model (DEM) with a 30 metre accuracy and GIS software in 10.8 Arc Map. The RS-230 was also used to measure uranium and thorium concentrations. GIS softwares and digital elevation models have been shown to be more effective than the traditional method. This was demonstrated by the flexible and quick working method, the accuracy of the parameters used, and the results of the morphometric analysis of the basin river network. In addition to, the main drainage pattern from subtype to tree type, where the branching ratio was (1.59). This basin could also cause flooding. Similar studies, according to the results of this study, should make greater use of geographic information system technology and modern data sources. Wadi Wizr also has a radioactive anomaly, with uranium equivalent concentrations reaching 70 ppm in some fault parts.展开更多

Unlike in the traditional water turbines, pump-turbine operation along the S-shaped curve can lead to difficulties during load rejection with unusual increases in the water pressure, which leads to machine vibrations. This paper describes both model tests and numerical simulations. A reduced scale model of a low specific speed pump-turbine was used for the performance tests, with comparisons to computational fluid dynamics(CFD) results. Predictions using the detached eddy simulation(DES) turbulence model, which is a combined Reynolds averaged Naviers-Stokes(RANS) and large eddy simulation(LES) model, are compared with the two-equation turbulence mode results. The external characteristics as well as the internal flow are for various guide vane openings to understand the unsteady flow along the so called S characteristics of a pump-turbine. Comparison of the experimental data with the CFD results for various conditions and times shows that DES model gives better agreement with experimental data than the two-equation turbulence model. For low flow conditions, the centrifugal forces and the large incident angle create large vortices between the guide vanes and the runner inlet in the runner passage, which is the main factor leading to the S-shaped characteristics. The turbulence model used here gives more accurate simulations of the internal flow characteristics of the pump-turbine and a more detailed force analysis which shows the mechanisms controlling of the S characteristics.展开更多

Using the developed model, the influences of the thickness, length and mass of floating-slab, spring rate and its arrangement space, running speed, etc. on the time and frequency domain characteristics of steel-spring fulcrum force are analyzed. The applicability of steel-spring floatingslab track is discussed through two integrated example cases of metro and buildings possessing distinct natural vibra- tion characteristics. It is concluded that, it is quite significant, in the optimization modular design of the parameters of steel-spring floating-slab track, to take the matching relationship of both the amplitude-frequency characteristics of steel-spring fulcrum force and natural vibration characteristics of integrated structures into comprehensive consideration. For this limitation of wavelet analysis, a novel diagnostic approach of rotor crack based on multi-scale singular-spectrum analysis (MS-SSA) is proposed. Firstly, a Jeffcott model of a cracked rotor is developed and the forth-order Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the motion equations of this rotor to obtain its time response (signals). Secondly, a comparatively simple approach of MS-SSA is presented and the empirical orthogonal functions of different orders in various scales are regarded as analyzing functions. At last, the signals of the cracked rotor and an uncracked rotor are analyzed using the proposed approach of MS-SSA, and the simulative results are compared. The results show that, the data-adaptive analyzing functions can capture many features of signals and the rotor crack can be identified and diagnosed effectively by comparing the analytic results of signals of the cracked rotor with those of the uncracked rotor using the analyzing functions of different orders.展开更多

文摘This article investigates the characteristics of shock wave overpressure generated by multi-layer composite charge under different detonation modes.Combining dimensional analysis and the explosion mechanism of the charge,a peak overpressure prediction model for the composite charge under singlepoint detonation and simultaneous detonation was established. The effects of the charge structure and initiation method on the overpressure field characteristics were investigated in AUTODYN simulation. The accuracy of the prediction model and the reliability of the numerical simulation method were subsequently verified in a series of static explosion experiments. The results reveal that the mass of the inner charge was the key factor determining the peak overpressure of the composite charge under single-point detonation. The peak overpressure in the radial direction improved apparently with an increase in the aspect ratio of the charge. The overpressure curves in the axial direction exhibited a multi-peak phenomenon, and the secondary peak overpressure even exceeded the primary peak at distances of 30D and 40D(where D is the charge diameter). The difference in peak overpressure among azimuth angles of 0-90°gradually decreased with an increase in the propagation distance of the shock wave. The coupled effect of the detonation energy of the inner and outer charge under simultaneous detonation improved the overpressure in both radial and axial directions. The difference in peak overpressure obtained from model prediction and experimental measurements was less than 16.4%.

文摘Oceanic front plays a significant role in the ocean vertical mixing and the regulation of air-sea interaction, among others. The western branch of the subarctic front(WSAF)located in the Northwest Pacific has attained lots of attention given its strong intensity and widespread influence on this region. In this study,we take advantage of the merged sea surface temperature(SST)at a high spatial resolution of 0.05°to investigate the characteristics of WSAF.The front detection algorithm that combines the Sobel operator and histogram analysis is adopted. It is advantageous in both preserving the front intensity represented by the SST gradient as well as reducing the detection noise level. We systematically applied this algorithm to the daily SST products for front detection, based on which the WSAF characteristics including its intensity, occurrence of frequency, latitudinal position and coverage area are then extracted.WSAF is mostly located within a small latitude range between 40°N and 41°N with a clear seasonal trend in its intensity that peaks in the winter and troughs in the summer. The seasonal variation of WSAF intensity is almost consistent throughout the temporal period of interest from 2010 to 2018.Similar seasonality is observed for its occurrence of frequency with the winter-summer contrast reaching up to5%.The findings presented here shall help better interpret the WSAF characteristics in the long-term run as well as their impact on the regional weather and climate patterns at high spatial resolution.

文摘In the traditional incremental analysis update(IAU)process, all analysis increments are treated as constant forcing in a model’s prognostic equations over a certain time window. This approach effectively reduces high-frequency oscillations introduced by data assimilation. However,as different scales of increments have unique evolutionary speeds and life histories in a numerical model, the traditional IAU scheme cannot fully meet the requirements of short-term forecasting for the damping of high-frequency noise and may even cause systematic drifts. Therefore,a multi-scale IAU scheme is proposed in this paper.Analysis increments were divided into different scale parts using a spatial filtering technique. For each scale increment, the optimal relaxation time in the IAU scheme was determined by the skill of the forecasting results. Finally, different scales of analysis increments were added to the model integration during their optimal relaxation time. The multi-scale IAU scheme can effectively reduce the noise and further improve the balance between large-scale and small-scale increments in the model initialization stage. To evaluate its performance, several numerical experiments were conducted to simulate the path and intensity of Typhoon Mangkhut(2018)and showed that:(1)the multi-scale IAU scheme had an obvious effect on noise control at the initial stage of data assimilation;(2)the optimal relaxation time for large-scale and small-scale increments was estimated as 6 h and 3 h,respectively;(3)the forecast performance of the multi-scale IAU scheme in the prediction of Typhoon Mangkhut(2018)was better than that of the traditional IAU scheme. The results demonstrate the superiority of the multi-scale IAU scheme.
文摘Using meteorological data from 8 national basic meteorological observation stations in Qingyang City of Longdong region from 1972 to 2021,the causes and change characteristics of high-temperature weather were analyzed, and targeted countermeasures and suggestions were proposed for residents' production, life, and energy security supply affected by high-temperature weather. The results showed that①affected by global warming, the annual average temperature, annual average maximum temperature, annual extreme maximum temperature, days of daily maximum temperature≥30℃,and days of daily maximum temperature≥35℃in Longdong region were all showing an upward trend;②due to the different terrain and soil properties of the underlying surface, the increase in high temperature weather varied in different regions.Due to the influence of desert and hilly terrain, the frequency and days of high temperature occurrence were relatively high in the central and northern parts of Qingyang City.Due to the climate regulation of the Ziwuling Mountains, the days of high temperature in the central and southern parts was significantly less than that in the central and northern parts;③if the warm high pressure ridge on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau developed strongly in summer, the temperature of the closed warm center reached 0-4℃on the 500 hPa of high-altitude weather map.If the warm air mass developed eastward,it often led to sustained high temperature weather in Longdong region;④when the El Nino phenomenon occurred, the subtropical high in the western Pacific developed strongly in summer, with a center located northward, which was stable, with little movement. It was dry, sunny, hot, and rainless in Longdong region, and the high temperature weather was more significant than that in normal years.
文摘The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how modern technologies such as geographic information systems (GIS) and digital elevation models can help in the creation of a geographic database for the Wadi Wizr basin in Egypt’s Central Eastern Desert, in addition to examining and analysing the radioactive properties of various rocks. Wadi Wizr also has a radioactive anomaly, with uranium equivalent concentrations reaching 70 ppm in some fault parts.

文摘Self-oscillating systems abound in the natural world and offer substantial potential for applications in controllers,micro-motors,medical equipments, and so on.Currently, numerical methods have been widely utilized for obtaining the characteristics of self-oscillation including amplitude and frequency. However, numerical methods are burdened by intricate computations and limited precision, hindering comprehensive investigations into self-oscillating systems. In this paper, the stability of a liquid crystal elastomer fiber self-oscillating system under a linear temperature field is studied, and analytical solutions for the amplitude and frequency are determined.Initially,we establish the governing equations of self-oscillation,elucidate two motion regimes, and reveal the underlying mechanism.Subsequently,we conduct a stability analysis and employ a multi-scale method to obtain the analytical solutions for the amplitude and frequency. The results show agreement between the multi-scale and numerical methods. This research contributes to the examination of diverse self-oscillating systems and advances the theoretical analysis of self-oscillating systems rooted in active materials.

文摘In this paper,a detection method combining Cameron decomposition based on polarization scattering characteristics in sea clutter background is proposed.Firstly, the Cameron decomposition is exploited to fuse the radar echoes of full polarization channels at the data level.Due to the artificial material structure on the surface of the target,it can be shown that the non-reciprocity of the target cell is stronger than that of the clutter cell. Then, based on the analysis of the decomposition results,a new feature with scattering geometry characteristics in polarization domain, denoted as Cameron polarization decomposition scattering weight(CPD-SW),is extracted as the test statistic, which can achieve more detailed descriptions of the clutter scattering characteristics utilizing the difference between their scattering types. Finally, the superiority of the proposed CPD-SW detector over traditional detectors in improving detection performance is verified by the IPIX measured dataset, which has strong stability under short-time observation in threshold detection and can also improve the separability of feature space zin anomaly detection.

文摘During the operation of a DC microgrid, the nonlinearity and low damping characteristics of the DC bus make it prone to oscillatory instability. In this paper,we first establish a discrete nonlinear system dynamic model of a DC microgrid, study the effects of the converter sag coefficient, input voltage, and load resistance on the microgrid stability, and reveal the oscillation mechanism of a DC microgrid caused by a single source. Then,a DC microgrid stability analysis method based on the combination of bifurcation and strobe is used to analyze how the aforementioned parameters influence the oscillation characteristics of the system. Finally, the stability region of the system is obtained by the Jacobi matrix eigenvalue method.Grid simulation verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘The compaction quality of subgrade filler strongly affects subgrade settlement. The main objective of this research is to analyze the macro-and micro-mechanical compaction characteristics of subgrade filler based on the real shape of coarse particles.First,an improved Viola-Jones algorithm is employed to establish a digitalized 2D particle database for coarse particle shape evaluation and discrete modeling purposes of subgrade filler.Shape indexes of 2D subgrade filler are then computed and statistically analyzed. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to quantitatively investigate the effects of the aspect ratio(AR)and interparticle friction coefficient(μ)on the macro-and micro-mechanical compaction characteristics of subgrade filler based on the discrete element method(DEM).The results show that with the increasing AR,the coarse particles are narrower, leading to the increasing movement of fine particles during compaction, which indicates that it is difficult for slender coarse particles to inhibit the migration of fine particles. Moreover, the average displacement of particles is strongly influenced by the AR,indicating that their occlusion under power relies on particle shapes. The dis-placement and velocity of fine particles are much greater than those of the coarse particles, which shows that compaction is primarily a migration of fine particles.Under the cyclic load, the interparticle friction coefficientμhas little effect on the internal structure of the sample;under the quasi-static loads, however, the increase inμwill lead to a significant increase in the porosity of the sample. This study could not only provide a novel approach to investigate the compaction mechanism but also establish a new theoretical basis for the evaluation of intelligent subgrade compaction.
文摘Based on the observation data of meteorological stations,Doppler radar observation data of Ulanqab City, and ERA-5 reanalysis data,a snowstorm process in Ulanqab City from March 17 to 18,2022 was analyzed. The results show that this was a type II snowstorm process generated under the joint influence of upper trough and ground low inverted trough and frontal cyclone. The main period of snowfall can be divided into two time stages, and the total snowfall was more in the south and less in the north, which was consistent with that of average specific humidity field.Water vapor conditions provided by strong water vapor transport and convergence, strong upward movement shown by large vertical velocity field, and the suction action of high-and low-layer divergence and convergence were the reasons for the hourly heavy snowfall on the 18 th.During the process, radar echoes were mainly sheet-shaped,and composite reflectivity was 15-25 dBZ in most areas. The zero speed line in the first period was positively"S"-shaped,and there was warm advection and southwest wind.On the morning of the 18 th,after the cold front transited the city,Ulanqab City was gradually controlled by northwest wind, and the snow tended to end.

文摘Current research on pump-turbine units is focused on the unstable operation at off-design conditions, with the characteristic curves in generating mode being S-shaped. The turbulence model used here gives more accurate simulations of the internal flow characteristics of the pump-turbine and a more detailed force analysis which shows the mechanisms controlling of the S characteristics.
文摘[Objective] The aim was to study the temporal and spatial characteristics and causes of cold wave in Qinhuangdao.[Method] Based on temperature data from five surface meteorological stations in Qinhuangdao from 1970 to 2009 and the latest standards issuing cold wave early warning signal, statistical analysis on the temporal and spatial distribution of cold wave was carried out,and the causes were discussed preliminarily.[Result] From 1970 to 2009,the frequencies of blue and yellow cold wave in Qinhuangdao region were 2 334 and 105 times respectively, and cold wave occurred most frequently in Qinglong County and least frequently in Lulong County, which was related to the effects of underlying surface, latitude and altitude.Cold wave might happen from September to next May,and the earliest occurrence date was September 9,while the latest end date was May 26.In addition, the frequency of cold wave was the highest in January and lowest in May.From 1970 to 2009,blue cold wave occurred most frequently in 1972 and 1979 and least frequently in 1984,while the frequency of yellow cold wave was the highest in 1979 and lowest in 9 years. From decadal variation, cold wave appeared most frequently in the 1970s and least frequently in the 1990s.With the increase of temperature, the frequency of cold wave showed decrease trend, and the beginning date tended to postpone, while its end date advanced, and it showed that the changes of cold wave was mainly caused by climate warming.[Conclusion] The study could provide theoretical guidance for the meteorological disaster prevention and reduction and local agricultural service.

文摘A coupled dynamics computation model for metro vehicles, along with a steel-spring floating-slab track, is developed based on the theory of vehicle-track coupled dynamics. In this way the expensive steel-spring floating-slab track can be economically and efficiently utilized according to the site condition, and at the same time, the economic losses and bad social impact resulted from the resonance during usage of steel-spring floating-slab track can be avoided.
文摘High accurary in wind speed forcasting remains hard to achieve due to wind’s random distribution nature and its seasonal characteristics.Randomness, intermittent and nonstationary usually cause the portion problem of the wind speed forecasting.Seasonal characteristics of wind speed means that its feature distribution is inconsistent. This typically results that the persistence of excitation for modeling can not be guaranteed, and may severely reduce the possibilities of high precise forecasting model. In this paper,we proposed two effective solutions to solve the problems caused by the randomness and seasonal characteristics of the wind speed.(1)Wavelet analysis is used to extract the robust components of time series and reduce the influence of randomness.(2)Based on the energy distribution about the extracted amplitude and associated frequency, seasonal characteristics of wind speed are analyzed based on self-similarity in periodogram under scales range generated by wavelet transformation. Thus, the original dataset is reasonably divided into subsest which can effectively reflect the seasonal distribution characteristics of wind speed. In addition, two strategies are given to optimal model structure and improve the forecasting accuracy:(1)The forecasting model’s lag space is approximately estimated by the Lipschitz quotient to improve the generality ability of the feedforward neural network.(2)The forecasting accuracy and model robustness are further improved by the wavelet decomposition combined with AdaBoosting neural network. Finally, experimental evaluation based on the dataset from National Renewable Energy Laboratory(NREL)is given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach.

文摘The locations(longitudes and latitudes)of the tropical cyclones(TCs)making landfall on the Chinese mainland from 1949 to 2008 are investigated in detail by using ArcGis and FORTRAN routine. The southeast coastline[110 to 122°E)with most landfall TCs was selected as the key region, which was divided into 12 subsections with 1°intervals of longitude. The study period was from July to September in each year. The result showed that the average sustaining time of TCs making landfall on the subsections east of 118°E is longer than those west of 118°E.Before landfall, the averaged TC intensity in the subsections east of118°E is stronger than that west of it.After landfall, however, the difference between the west and east is not significant. The index of destructive potential for the period before/after landfall was defined as TDP1/TDP2.The maximum of TDP1/TDP2 occurred in the subsection of[119,120°E)/[110,111°E).The ENSO impact on the frequency and average location of landfall TC over the whole region at 110 to 122°E is not obvious, but the effect varies with specific subsections. There is little differences of averaged TDP1 in the subsections between different phases of ENSO events, but the averaged TDP2 is larger in the warm events than that in the cold events. The rainstorm days of each station caused by TCs in different subsections were counted respectively. The results suggested that the rainstorm days of the subsections east of 118°E are much more than those west of 118°E.The larger values are primarily distributed at the subsections of[119,120°E)and[110,111°E).

文摘In the diagnosis of rotor crack based on wavelet analysis, it is a painful task to find out an adaptive mother wavelet as many of them can be chosen and the analytic results of different mother wavelets are yet not the same. The results show that, the data-adaptive analyzing functions can capture many features of signals and the rotor crack can be identified and diagnosed effectively by comparing the analytic results of signals of the cracked rotor with those of the uncracked rotor using the analyzing functions of different orders.
