Effective bearing fault diagnosis is vital for the safe and reliable operation of rotating machinery. In practical applications, bearings often work at various rotational speeds as well as load conditions.Yet,the bearing fault diagnosis under multiple conditions is a new subject, which needs to be further explored. Therefore,a multi-scale deep belief network(DBN)method integrated with attention mechanism is proposed for the purpose of extracting the multi-scale core features from vibration signals, containing four primary steps:preprocessing of multi-scale data, feature extraction, feature fusion, and fault classification. The key novelties include multi-scale feature extraction using multi-scale DBN algorithm, and feature fusion using attention mecha-nism.The benchmark dataset from University of Ottawa is applied to validate the effectiveness as well as advantages of this method.Furthermore, the aforementioned method is compared with four classical fault diagnosis methods reported in the literature, and the comparison results show that our pro-posed method has higher diagnostic accuracy and better robustness. 展开更多

The study of pressure stimulated current(PSC)changes of rocks is significant to monitor dynamic disasters in mines and rock masses. The existing studies focus on change laws and mechanism of currents generated under the loading of rocks. An electrical and mechanics test system was established in this paper to explore the impacts of loading rates on PSCs.The results indicated that PSC curves of different rocks had different change laws under low/high loading rates. When the loading rate was relatively low,PSC curves firstly changed gently and then increased exponentially.Under high loading rates,PSC curves experienced the rapid increase stage, gentle increase stage and sudden change stage. The compressive strength could greatly affect the peak PSC in case of rock failure. The loading rate was a key factor in average PSC.Under low loading rates, the variations of PSCs conformed to the damage charge model of fracture mechanics, while they did not at the fracture moment.Under high loading rates, the PSCs at low stress didn’t fit the model due to the stress impact effects. The experimental results could provide theoretical basis for the influence of loading rates on PSCs. 展开更多

Due to the lack of long-range association and spatial location information, fine details and accurate boundaries of complex clothing images cannot always be obtained by using the existing deep learning-based methods. This paper presents a convolutional structure with multi-scale fusion to optimize the step of clothing feature extraction and a self-attention module to capture long-range association information. The structure enables the self-attention mechanism to directly participate in the process of information exchange through the down-scaling projection operation of the multi-scale framework. In addition, the improved self-attention module introduces the extraction of 2-dimensional relative position information to make up for its lack of ability to extract spatial position features from clothing images. The experimental results based on the colorful fashion parsing dataset(CFPD)show that the proposed network structure achieves 53.68%mean intersection over union(mIoU)and has better performance on the clothing parsing task. 展开更多

With the economic development and multicultural exchange of ethnic villages, more and more ethnic villages have embarked on the road of tourism to become rich, but also brought the problem of ecological pollution.Few existing literatures discuss how to alleviate the ecological pollution in ethnic villages from the perspective of tourists’environmentally responsible behavior. In the context of ethnic villages, from the perspective of integration and the attitude-context-behavior theory, this paper constructs an EV-ABC-TERB model with four variables, namely environmental attitude, local atmosphere, emotional experience and tourists’environmentally responsible behavior,to explore the characteristics, influencing factors and influencing mechanism of tourists’environmental responsibility behavior in ethnic villages.Taking Xijiang Hmong Village as the research case, questionnaire survey method and structural equation model method were used. The results show that environmental attitude positively affects emotional experience and tourists’environmentally responsible behavior.Local atmosphere positively influences tourists’environmentally responsible behavior.Emotional experience negatively affects tourists’environmentally responsible behavior and plays an intermediary role in the way that environmental attitudes affect tourists’environmentally responsible behavior. The influence of environmental attitude on emotional experience is negatively regulated by local atmosphere. Finally, based on the analysis conclusion,it provides new ideas and inspiration for the sustainable development of the ethnic village tourism. 展开更多

Rock fracture mechanisms can be inferred from moment tensors(MT)inverted from microseismic events. However,MT can only be inverted for events whose waveforms are acquired across a network of sensors. This is limiting for underground mines where the microseismic stations often lack azimuthal coverage. Thus, there is a need for a method to invert fracture mechanisms using waveforms acquired by a sparse microseismic network. Here,we present a novel,multi-scale framework to classify whether a rock crack contracts or dilates based on a single waveform. The framework consists of a deep learning model that is initially trained on 2400000+manually labelled field-scale seismic and microseismic waveforms acquired across 692 stations.Transfer learning is then applied to fine-tune the model on 300000+MT-labelled labscale acoustic emission waveforms from 39 individual experiments instrumented with different sensor layouts, loading, and rock types in training. The optimal model achieves over 86%F-score on unseen waveforms at both the lab-and field-scale.This model outperforms existing empirical methods in classification of rock fracture mechanisms monitored by a sparse microseismic network. This facilitates rapid assessment of,and early warning against, various rock engineering hazard such as induced earthquakes and rock bursts. 展开更多

Remote sensing imagery, due to its high altitude, presents inherent challenges characterized by multiple scales, limited target areas, and intricate backgrounds. These inherent traits often lead to increased miss and false detection rates when applying object recognition algorithms tailored for remote sensing imagery.Additionally, these complexities contribute to inaccuracies in target localization and hinder precise target categorization. This paper addresses these challenges by proposing a solution:The YOLO-MFD model(YOLO-MFD:Remote Sensing Image Object Detection withMulti-scale Fusion Dynamic Head). Before presenting our method,we delve into the prevalent issues faced in remote sensing imagery analysis.Specifically,we emphasize the struggles of existing object recognition algorithms in comprehensively capturing critical image features amidst varying scales and complex backgrounds. To resolve these issues,we introduce a novel approach.First,we propose the implementation of a lightweight multi-scale module called CEF.This module significantly improves the model’s ability to comprehensively capture important image features by merging multi-scale feature information. It effectively addresses the issues of missed detection and mistaken alarms that are common in remote sensing imagery.Second,an additional layer of small target detection heads is added, and a residual link is established with the higher-level feature extraction module in the backbone section. This allows the model to incorporate shallower information, significantly improving the accuracy of target localization in remotely sensed images. Finally,a dynamic head attentionmechanism is introduced. This allows themodel to exhibit greater flexibility and accuracy in recognizing shapes and targets of different sizes.Consequently, the precision of object detection is significantly improved. The trial results show that the YOLO-MFD model shows improvements of 6.3%,3.5%,and 2.5%over the original YOLOv8 model in Precision,map@0.5 and map@0.5:0.95,separately.These results illustrate the clear advantages of the method. 展开更多

Tea leaf picking is a crucial stage in tea production that directly influences the quality and value of the tea.Traditional tea-picking machines may compromise the quality of the tea leaves.High-quality teas are often handpicked and need more delicate operations in intelligent picking machines.Compared with traditional image processing techniques, deep learning models have stronger feature extraction capabilities, and better generalization and are more suitable for practical tea shoot harvesting. However, current research mostly focuses on shoot detection and cannot directly accomplish end-to-end shoot segmentation tasks. We propose a tea shoot instance segmentation model based on multi-scale mixed attention(Mask2FusionNet)using a dataset from the tea garden in Hangzhou. We further analyzed the characteristics of the tea shoot dataset, where the proportion of small to medium-sized targets is 89.9%.Our algorithm is compared with several mainstream object segmentation algorithms, and the results demonstrate that our model achieves an accuracy of 82%in recognizing the tea shoots, showing a better performance compared to other models.Through ablation experiments,we found that ResNet50,PointRend strategy, and the Feature Pyramid Network(FPN)architecture can improve performance by 1.6%,1.4%,and 2.4%,respectively.These experiments demonstrated that our proposed multi-scale and point selection strategy optimizes the feature extraction capability for overlapping small targets. The results indicate that the proposed Mask2FusionNet model can perform the shoot segmentation in unstructured environments, realizing the individual distinction of tea shoots, and complete extraction of the shoot edge contours with a segmentation accuracy of 82.0%.The research results can provide algorithmic support for the segmentation and intelligent harvesting of premium tea shoots at different scales. 展开更多

The geological hazards of landslides in Hanwang Town, Ziyang County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, have emerged. Yet, the current understanding of the spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors of landslides in this area remains unclear. Combining the results of remote sensing interpretation and field investigation, seven influencing factors, namely, elevation, slope direction, slope gradient, distance from rivers, distance from faults, engineering geologic lithology, and distance from roads, are selected for the study. The distribution characteristics of landslides in each influencing factor and the influence of the resolution of the Digital Elevation Model(DEM) on the results are statistically and analytically analyzed. Furthermore, two highrisk landslides within the study area were subjected to comprehensive analysis, integrating the findings from drilling and other field investigations in order to examine their deformation mechanisms. Based on this analysis, the following conclusions were derived:(1) 34 landslides in the study area, mainly small earth landslides, with a distribution density of 0.42/km~2, threatening 414 people and property of about 55.87 million Yuan.(2)The landslides in the study area easily occur in the <400 m elevation range;the landslides are developed in all slope directions, the gradient is mainly concentrated in the range of 10°–40°, the distribution density of the landslides is higher in the closer distance from the river and the faults(0–200 m), the landslide-prone strata are mainly the softer and weaker metamorphic rocks, and the landslides are mainly around roads.(3) The resolution of the DEM should be selected based on the specific conditions of the study area, the requirements of the investigation, and the scale of the landslide. Opting for an appropriate DEM resolution is advantageous for understanding the patterns of landslides and conducting risk assessments in the region.(4) The Zhengjiabian landslide is a traction Landslide. The landslide body is a binary structure of gravel soil and slate weathering layer, and the damage process can be divided into three stages:(1)damage to the leading edge and stress release,(2)continuous creep and cracking,(3)rainfall infiltration and damage. The predominant slope material in the Brickyard landslide comprises clay, and the landslide is triggered by a combination of the traction effect resulting from the excavation at the slope's base and the nudging effect caused by the stacking load of the brick factory. Additionally, the Brickyard landslide exhibits persistent creep deformation. The study results provide a scientific basis for disaster prevention and mitigation in the Hanwang Township area. 展开更多

The Qaidam Basin(QB)is a concentrated distribution area and chemical industrial bases of salt lakes in China.Lakes in the QB have been expanding during the past 20 years.Rapid lake expansion resulted in some considerable scientific issues on the protection of salt lake resources and infrastructure, and monitoring of hydrological processes at the lake-basin scale.Although the spatial-temporal trends of lake changes on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)have been well documented, the underlying influencing mechanism and hydrogeological implications of rapid lake changes in the QB are not well understood.Three lakes in the northern QB were selected to investigate lake water level fluctuations on different time scales based on extensive in-situ monitoring and satellite observations. The influencing mechanism and hydrogeological implications of rapid changes of terminal lakes were discussed in combination with the reported increasing precipitation rate and mass balance of glaciers in the northern QTP.Results reveal the following:(1)the fluctuation pattern of Sugan Lake was asynchronous and out of phase with that of Xiao Qaidam and Toson lakes during the monitoring period;(2)Sugan Lake water rose gradually, and the rise interval was from late April to early July.In contrast,Xiao Qaidam and Toson lakes took on a rapid and steep rise, and the rise intervalwas from late July to September;(3)the influencing mechanisms for rapid lake fluctuations are controlled by different factors:glacier and snow melting with increasing temperature for Sugan Lake and increasing precipitation for Xiao Qaidam and Toson lakes;(4)in accordance with different intervals and influencing mechanisms of rapid lake expansions in the QB,hydrological risk precaution of lakes and corresponding river catchments was conducted in different parts of the basin. This study provided an important scientific basis for assessing the hydrological process and hydrological risk precaution, and protection of salt lake resources along with rapid lake expansions in the arid area. 展开更多

The influence of ENSO on the summer climate change in China and its mechanism from the observed data is discussed. It is discovered that in the developing stage of ENSO, the SST in the western tropical Pacific is colder in summer, the convective activities may be weak around the South China Sea and the Philippines. As a consequence, the subtropical high shifted southward. Therefore, a drought may be caused in the Indo-China peninsula and in the South China. Moreover, in midsummer the subtropical high is weak over the Yangtze River valley and Huaihe River valley, and the flood may be caused in the area from the Yangtze River valley to Huaihe River valley. On the contrary, in the decaying stage of ENSO. the convective activities may be strong around the Philippines, and the subtropical high shifted northward, a drought may be caused in the Yangtze River valley and Huaihe River valley. 展开更多

[Objective] The research aimed to study the possible mechanism of terrain effect on cold-flow snowstorm.[Method] By using the meso-scale numerical model(WRF),a cold-flow snowstorm weather process in Shandong Peninsula was carried out numerical simulation and terrain sensitivity contrast test. The possible reason of terrain effect on falling zone and strength of snowstorm was deeply analyzed from water vapor, thermodynamic field and so on.[Result] The mountain terrain in Shandong Peninsula had great influences on falling zone and strength of cold-flow snowstorm. The strength of snowstorm obviously increased, and the snowfall center obviously moved northward. The main reason was that terrain caused the low-level wind field convergence and vertical movement in the troposphere strengthened. Then, the spatial distribution of water vapor and snow water content in the cold-flow snowstorm process obviously changed. So,the whole snowstorm process was affected.[Conclusion] The mountain terrain in Shandong Peninsula was the important element which needed to be focused on considering in the forecast analysis of cold-flow snowstorm weather process. 展开更多

Based on micro-CT scanning experiments, three-dimensional digital cores of tight sandstones were established to quantitatively evaluate pore-scale anisotropy and pore-distribution heterogeneity. The quartet structure generation set method was used to generate three-dimensional anisotropic, heterogeneous porous media models. A multi-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann model was applied to analyze relationships of permeability with pore-scale anisotropy and pore distribution heterogeneity, and the microscopic influence mechanism was also investigated. The tight sandstones are of complex pore morphology, strong anisotropy and pore distribution heterogeneity, while anisotropy factor has obvious directivity. The obvious anisotropy influences the orientation of long axis of pores and fluid flow path, making tortuosity smaller and flowing energy loss less in the direction with the greater anisotropy factor. The strong correlation of tortuosity and anisotropy is the inherent reason of anisotropy acting on permeability. The influence of pore distribution heterogeneity on permeability is the combined effects of specific surface area and tortuosity, while the product of specific surface area and tortuosity shows significantly negative correlation with heterogeneity. The stronger the pore distribution heterogeneity, the smaller the product and the greater the permeability. In addition, the permeability and tortuosity of complex porous media satisfy a power relation with a high fitting precision, which can be applied for approximate estimation of core permeability. 展开更多
