This paper mainly seeks to discuss what factors contribute to students' passive involvement in English classes. It also explores whether it would be possible to solve the above pedagogical dilemmas through implementing collaborative learning mode in ESL. After analyzing the data collected from case study, classroom observation and post-hoc interviews, researcher discovers that collaborative learning mode exerts a considerable positive influence on reducing students' learning anxiety and rebuilding their self-confidence. In addition, peer interaction and group collaboration are highly motivating and effective for ESL learners at college level. 展开更多

The quick spread of the epidemic since 2019 together with fast advancing of technology has exposed teachers to online education,including Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(TCSL)classrooms.Some Chinese as a Second Language(CSL)teachers were reluctant to utilize technology tools in their teaching due to the lack of technological knowledge.Thus,this study designed a CSL curriculum with the lens of the TPACK framework(Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge).Nearpod was specifically adopted as a web-based technology tool to support the teaching Chinese language due to its powerful functions provided.Nearpod allows teachers to design interactive activities in multiple ways to facilitate interactions and collaboration in the CSL learning process.This paper aimed to help Chinese teachers improve their understanding of how to effectively integrate technology into CSL teaching.Chinese teachers will develop a deeper comprehension of distance teaching from the perspectives of technology,pedagogy,and content knowledge,enhance students’deeper learning,and promote interaction and collaboration in L2 class.The effective use of the technology can develop language skills in a meaningful context knowledge with the guidance of pedagogical content knowledge. 展开更多

In the system of Computer Network Collaborative Defense(CNCD),it is difficult to evaluate the trustworthiness of defense agents which are newly added to the system,since they lack historical interaction for trust evaluation.This will lead that the newly added agents could not get reasonable initial trustworthiness,and affect the whole process of trust evaluation.To solve this problem in CNCD,a trust type based trust bootstrapping model was introduced in this research.First,the division of trust type,trust utility and defense cost were discussed.Then the constraints of defense tasks were analyzed based on game theory.According to the constraints obtained,the trust type of defense agents was identified and the initial trustworthiness was assigned to defense agents.The simulated experiment shows that the methods proposed have lower failure rate of defense tasks and better adaptability in the respect of defense task execution. 展开更多

Readily accessible equipment, aswell as structured training curriculum should be provided to guarantee adequate practice hours and skillproficiency. Dry-lab training is typically adopted before animal model surgery, usually comprising ofpurpose-built bulky simulators that is neither accessible nor portable. In this technical note, we designed ahome-made simulator, using two 4 L water jugs as operating space that are communicated inside, plus anobservation hole taped in between to mimic the triangular working space of laparoscopic surgery. Imagingwas achieved via smartphone camera, which was wirelessly connected to a laptop and a projector for realtime display on multiple screens, using built-in multi-screen collaboration software. A self-regulated andproficiency-based training curriculum was adopted. This dry-lab simulator is low-cost, highly portable andeasily replicable for basic laparoscopic skills training for the beginners to intermediate surgeons, whichmay serve as a good way for the standardized residency and specialist training program. 展开更多

Online technologies have facilitated the development of Virtual Communities of Practice (virtual CoPs) to support health professionals collaborate online to share knowledge, improve performance and support the spread of innovation and best practices. Research, however,shows that many virtual CoPs do not achieve their expected potential because online interaction among healthcare professionals is generally low. Focusing on health visitors, who are UK qualified midwives or nurses who have undertaken additional qualifications as specialist public health workers in the community, the paper examines the factors that influence online interaction among health visitors collaborating to share knowledge and experience in a virtual CoP. The paper makes suggestions for how to improve online interaction among health professionals in virtual CoPs by increasing the size of membership in order to take advantage of both posting and viewing contributions, facilitating moderation to improve networking among geographically dispersed members groups and im-proving the topic relevance in order to stimulate contributions. 展开更多

Navigation is an essential skill for robots.It becomes a cumbersome task for the robot in a human-populated environment,and Industry 5.0 is an emerging trend that focuses on the interaction between humans and robots.Robot behavior in a social setting is the key to human acceptance while ensuring human comfort and safety.With the advancement in robotics technology,the true use cases of robots in the tourism and hospitality industry are expanding in number.There are very few experimental studies focusing on how people perceive the navigation behavior of a delivery robot.A robotic platform named“PI”has been designed,which incorporates proximity and vision sensors.The robot utilizes a real-time object recognition algorithm based on the You Only Look Once(YOLO)algorithm to detect objects and humans during navigation.This study is aimed towards evaluating human experience,for which we conducted a study among 36 participants to explore the perceived social presence,role,and perception of a delivery robot exhibiting different behavior conditions while navigating in a hotel corridor.The participants’responses were collected and compared for different behavior conditions demonstrated by the robot and results show that humans prefer an assistant role of a robot enabled with audio and visual aids exhibiting social behavior.Further,this study can be useful for developers to gain insight into the expected behavior of a delivery robot. 展开更多

基于空间数据分析方法,分析军民融合、产业协同集聚和区域创新绩效在我国省际间分布格局,结果显示三者均存在显著的空间自相关性即空间溢出效应,并在局部地区形成了不同的集聚区域,存在高低集聚“俱乐部”现象。基于空间计量模型、实证... 基于空间数据分析方法,分析军民融合、产业协同集聚和区域创新绩效在我国省际间分布格局,结果显示三者均存在显著的空间自相关性即空间溢出效应,并在局部地区形成了不同的集聚区域,存在高低集聚“俱乐部”现象。基于空间计量模型、实证检验军民融合、产业协同集聚对区域创新绩效的影响,得出主要结论:全国范围军民融合、产业协同集聚均对区域创新绩效具有显著的促进作用,但西部地区军民融合影响的效果最大,而东部地区则产业协同集聚影响的效果最大;同时,在全国范围内二者间具有较强的交互作用,并且在对有限的创新生产要素资源抢占作用下,二者呈现出替代效应,交互作用下对区域创新绩效产生抑制作用,东部、中部地区亦是如此,而在西部地区,二者呈现出互补效应,交互作用下对区域创新绩效产生促进作用;并对影响区域创新绩效的其他因素进行了分析。 展开更多

With the rapid progress of the network and mobile techniques, mobile devices such as mobile phones and portable devices, have become one of the most important parts in common life. Efficient techniques for watching, navigating and sharing videos on mobile devices collaboratively are appealing in mobile environment. In this paper, we propose a novel approach supporting efficiently collaborative operations on videos with sketch gestures. Furthermore, effective collaborative annotation and navigation operations are given to interact with videos on mobile devices for facilitating users' communication based on mobile devices' characteristics. Gesture operation and collaborative interaction architecture are given and improved during the interactive process. Finally, a user study is conducted showing that the effectivity and collaborative accessibility of video exploration is improved. 展开更多

Collaborative Matrix Factorization with Soft Regularization for Drug-Target Interaction Prediction

Identifying the potential drug-target interactions(DTI)is critical in drug discovery.The drug-target interaction prediction methods based on collaborative filtering have demonstrated attractive prediction performance.However,many corresponding models cannot accurately express the relationship between similarity features and DTI features.In order to rationally represent the correlation,we propose a novel matrix factorization method,so-called collaborative matrix factorization with soft regularization(SRCMF).SRCMF improves the prediction performance by combining the drug and the target similarity information with matrix factorization.In contrast to general collaborative matrix factorization,the fundamental idea of SRCMF is to make the similarity features and the potential features of DTI approximate,not identical.Specifically,SRCMF obtains low-rank feature representations of drug similarity and target similarity,and then uses a soft regularization term to constrain the approximation between drug(target)similarity features and drug(target)potential features of DTI.To comprehensively evaluate the prediction performance of SRCMF,we conduct cross-validation experiments under three different settings.In terms of the area under the precision-recall curve(AUPR),SRCMF achieves better prediction results than six state-of-the-art methods.Besides,under different noise levels of similarity data,the prediction performance of SRCMF is much better than that of collaborative matrix factorization.In conclusion,SRCMF is robust leading to performance improvement in drug-target interaction prediction. 展开更多

Interactive patterns are able to promote the notion of reusability in groupware application development. Hence, these patterns support the comprehensiveness of both the interaction design and implementation while easing code modification for groupware application. Groupware is used to describe a broad range of technologies that support person-to-person collaboration. How to design and develop a groupware in an effective manner remains a research question worth exploring. This paper introduces a reusable method, patterns, to develop a single shared display application. Nine different interactive patterns that allow participants to interact collaboratively or non-collaboratively in a single shared display application are introduced in this paper. This is followed by the presentation of our quantitative results on the usability of the interactive patterns and the reusability of the patterns in designing and maintaining a single shared display application. From the results, not only are the patterns useful and easy to understand, the patterns actually ease the process of designing and maintenance during the application development under a single shared display. 展开更多

基于数字化赋能理论,以2016—2021年396家高技术制造业上市公司为样本,从微观和宏观两个维度出发探究企业数字化转型和政府数字化治理赋能企业创新“提质增量”的作用机理,并采用多项式回归、响应面分析及块变量分析技术剖析其交互协同... 基于数字化赋能理论,以2016—2021年396家高技术制造业上市公司为样本,从微观和宏观两个维度出发探究企业数字化转型和政府数字化治理赋能企业创新“提质增量”的作用机理,并采用多项式回归、响应面分析及块变量分析技术剖析其交互协同机制,明晰数字经济推动企业创新“提质增量”的多维路径,研究结果表明:(1)企业数字化转型能促进企业创新“增量”,不能促进创新“提质”;政府数字化治理能促进企业创新“提质增量”。(2)企业数字化转型和政府数字化治理存在交互协同效应,能显著促进企业创新“提质增量”,并且在平衡状态下,二者处于双高水平时企业创新表现更好,在非平衡状态下,呈现政府数字化治理的“主导逻辑”。(3)政企之间的交互协同可以通过降低管理性交易成本,缓解信息不对称性来促进企业创新“提质增量”。研究结论丰富了数字经济与企业创新相关研究,为企业走出创新“轻质量、重数量”困境提供了新的路径,为政府部门落实数字经济政策和优化创新环境提供了新的参考。 展开更多
