To address the scheduling problem involving energy storage systems and uncertain energy,we propose a method based on multi-stage robust optimization.This approach aims to regulate the energy storage system by using a multi-stage robust optimal control method,which helps overcome the limitations of traditional methods in terms of time scale.The goal is to effectively utilize the energy storage power station system to address issues caused by unpredictable variations in environmental energy and fluctuating load throughout the day.To achieve this,a mathematical model is constructed to represent uncertain energy sources such as photovoltaic and wind power.The generalized Benders Decomposition method is then employed to solve the multi-stage objective optimization problem.By decomposing the problem into a series of sub-objectives,the system scale is effectively reduced,and the algorithm’s convergence ability is improved.Compared with other algorithms,the multi-stage robust optimization model has better economy and convergence ability and can be used to guide the power dispatching of uncertain energy and energy storage systems. 展开更多

Gneisses with anatectic characteristics from the Liansan island in the Sulu UHPM(ultra-high pressure metamorphic)belt were studied for petrography,titanite U-Pb dating and mineral geochemistry.Three origins of garnets are distinguished:metamorphic garnet,peritectic garnet and anatectic garnet,which are formed in the stages of peak metamorphism,retrograde anatexis and melt crystallization,respectively.The euhedral titanite has a high content of REE and high Th/U ratios,which is interpreted as indicating that it was newly-formed from an anatectic melt.The LA-ICP-MS titanite U-Pb dating yields 214-217 Ma ages for the titanite(melt)crystallization.The distribution of trace elements varies in response to the different host minerals at different stages.At the peak metamorphic stage,Y and HREE are mainly hosted by garnet,Ba and Rb by phengite,Sr,Nb,Ta,Pb,Th,U and LREE by allanite and Y,U and HREE by zircon.During partial melting,Y,Pb,Th,U and REE are released into the melt,which causes a dramatic decline of these element contents in the retrograde minerals.Finally,titanite absorbs most of the Nb,U,LREE and HREE from the melt.Therefore,the different stages of metamorphism have different mineral assemblages,which host different trace elements. 展开更多

To reduce the carbon footprint in the transportation sector and improve overall vehicle efficiency,a large number of electric vehicles are being manufactured.This is due to the fact that environmental concerns and the depletion of fossil fuels have become significant global problems.Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have been distinguished themselves from alternative energy storage technologies for electric vehicles(EVs) due to superior qualities like high energy and power density,extended cycle life,and low maintenance cost to a competitive price.However,there are still certain challenges to be solved,like EV fast charging,longer lifetime,and reduced weight.For fast charging,the multi-stage constant current(MSCC) charging technique is an emerging solution to improve charging efficiency,reduce temperature rise during charging,increase charging/discharging capacities,shorten charging time,and extend the cycle life.However,there are large variations in the implementation of the number of stages,stage transition criterion,and C-rate selection for each stage.This paper provides a review of these problems by compiling information from the literature.An overview of the impact of different design parameters(number of stages,stage transition,and C-rate) that the MSCC charging techniques have had on the LIB performance and cycle life is described in detail and analyzed.The impact of design parameters on lifetime,charging efficiency,charging and discharging capacity,charging speed,and rising temperature during charging is presented,and this review provides guidelines for designing advanced fast charging strategies and determining future research gaps. 展开更多

The metaheuristic algorithms are widely used in solving the parameters of the optimization problem.The marine predators algorithm(MPA)is a novel population-based intelligent algorithm.Although MPA has shown a talented foraging strategy,it still needs a balance of exploration and exploitation.Therefore,a multi-stage improvement of marine predators algorithm(MSMPA)is proposed in this paper.The algorithm retains the advantage of multistage search and introduces a linear flight strategy in the middle stage to enhance the interaction between predators.Predators further away from the historical optimum are required to move,increasing the exploration capability of the algorithm.In the middle and late stages,the searchmechanism of particle swarmoptimization(PSO)is inserted,which enhances the exploitation capability of the algorithm.This means that the stochasticity is decreased,that is the optimal region where predators jumping out is effectively stifled.At the same time,self-adjusting weight is used to regulate the convergence speed of the algorithm,which can balance the exploration and exploitation capability of the algorithm.The algorithm is applied to different types of CEC2017 benchmark test functions and threemultidimensional nonlinear structure design optimization problems,compared with other recent algorithms.The results show that the convergence speed and accuracy of MSMPA are significantly better than that of the comparison algorithms. 展开更多

Springback of a SUS321 complex geometry part formed by the multi-stage rigid-flexible compound process was studied through numerical simulations and laboratory experiments in this work.The sensitivity analysis was provided to have an insight in the effect of the evaluated process parameters.Furthermore,in order to minimize the springback problem,an accurate springback simulation model of the part was established and validated.The effects of the element size and timesteps on springback model were further investigated.Results indicate that the custom mesh size is beneficial for the springback simulation,and the four timesteps are found suited for the springback analysis for the complex geometry part.Finally,a strategy for reducing the springback by changing the geometry of the blank is proposed.The optimal blank geometry is obtained and used for manufacturing the part. 展开更多

UAV-assisted D2D networks can provide auxiliary communication for areas with poor communication facilities by using the characteristics of easy deployment of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV),then it becomes a promising technology.However,the coexistence of UAV and D2D aggravates the conflict of spectrum resources.In addition,when the UAV performs the communication service,it will inevitably cause the location change,which will make the original channel allocation no longer applicable.Inspired by the influence of frequent channel switching on channel allocation,we define the communication utility as a tradeoff between the throughput and channel switching cost.In the considered model,we investigate the multi-stage hierarchical spectrum access problem with maximizing aggregate communication utilities in UAV-assisted D2D networks.In particular,due to the hierarchical feature of the considered network,we adopt Stackelberg game to formulate this spectrum access problem where both the throughput and channel switching cost are considered.We prove that the proposed game has a stable Stackelberg equilibrium(SE),and the heterogeneous network based channel allocation(HN-CA)algorithm is proposed to achieve the desired solution.Simulation results verify the validity of the proposed game and show the effectiveness of the HN-CA algorithm. 展开更多

Duplex-structured TC21 alloy samples were first solution-treated at a higher temperature in theα+βregion(940°C)with furnace cooling(FC),air cooling(AC),and water cooling(WC),followed by a second-stage solution treatment at a lower temperature in theα+βregion(900°C),and then finally aged at 590°C.The effects of the morphology and quantity ofαphases on the structure and properties of the TC21 alloy after the different heat treatments were analyzed.The in-situ tensile deformation process and crack propagation behavior were observed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The quantity of equiaxedαphases as well as the thickness of lamellarαphases reduced,the tensile strength increased firstly and then decreased,the elongation decreased with the increasing cooling rate after the first-stage solution treatment.The amount and size of lamellarαphases increased after the second-stage solution treatment because of sufficient diffusion of the alloying elements,thereby leading to increased tensile strength.The amount of dispersedαphases increased after the third-stage aging treatment owing to the increase in the nucleation rate,resulting in a noteworthy strengthening effect.After the third-stage aging treatment,the first-stage FC sample exhibited better mechanical properties because it contained more equiaxedαandβtrans phases than the first-stage AC and WC samples. 展开更多

We improve the traditional attack-defence strategies quantization method to meet the needs of the network signalling game model. Moreover, we give the calculation of the game equilibrium and analyse the optimal defence scheme. To resolve the issue of design for multi-stage and multi-cluster fracturing in multi-zone reservoirs, a new efficient algorithm for the planar 3 D multi-fracture propagation model was proposed. The model considers fluid flow in the wellbore-perforation-fracture system and fluid leak-off into the rock matrix, and uses a 3 D boundary integral equation to describe the solid deformation. The solid-fluid coupling equation is solved by an explicit integration algorithm, and the fracture front is determined by the uniform tip asymptotic solutions and shortest path algorithm. The accuracy of the algorithm is verified by the analytical solution of radial fracture, results of the implicit level set algorithm, and results of organic glass fracturing experiment. Compared with the implicit level set algorithm(ILSA), the new algorithm is much higher in computation speed. The numerical case study is conducted based on a horizontal well in shale gas formation of Zhejiang oilfield. The impact of stress heterogeneity among multiple clusters and perforation number distribution on multi-fracture growth and fluid distribution among multiple fractures are analyzed by numerical simulation. The results show that reducing perforation number in each cluster can counteract the effect of stress contrast among perforation clusters. Adjusting perforation number in each cluster can promote uniform flux among clusters, and the perforation number difference should better be 1-2 among clusters. Increasing perforation number in the cluster with high in situ stress is conducive to uniform fluid partitioning. However, uniform fluid partitioning is not equivalent to uniform fracture geometry. The fracture geometry is controlled by the stress interference and horizontal principal stress profile jointly. 展开更多

A novel laboratory simulation method for modeling multi-staged fracturing in a horizontal well was established based on a true tri-axial hydraulic fracturing simulation system. Using this method, the influences of net pressure in hydraulic fracture, stage spacing, perforation parameter, horizontal stress bias and well cementation quality on the propagation geometry of multiple fractures in a tight sandstone formation were studied in detail. The specimen splitting and analogy analysis of fracturing curve patterns reveals: Multiple fractures tend to merge under the condition of high horizontal stress bias and short stage spacing with pre-existing hydraulic fractures under critical closure situation, and the propagation of subsequent fractures is possibly suppressed because of high net pressure in pre-created fractures and asymmetric distribution of fracture width. And the subsequently created fractures are situated in the induced stress decreasing zone due to long stage spacing, leading to weak stress interference, and perforation with intense density and deep penetration facilitates the decrease of initiation fracture pressure. The deflection angle of subsequent fracture and horizontal stress variation tend to be amplified under low horizontal bias with constant net pressure in fractures. The longitudinal fracture is likely to be initiated at the interface of wellbore and concrete sample with poor cementation quality. The initiation fracture pressure of the different stages increases in turn, with the largest increase of 30%. Pressure quickly declines after initiation with low propagation pressure when the transverse hydraulic fracture is formed. The pressure reduces with fluctuation after the initiation of fracture when the fracture deflects, the extension pressure is high, and the fracture formed is tortuous and narrow. There is a violently fluctuant rise of pressure with multiple peak values when longitudinal fracture created, and it is hard to distinguish the features between the initiation stage and propagation stage. 展开更多

In this paper, the problem of sediment deposition induced by construction of tidal sluices is analyzed. Different problems of silting near tidal sluices for different types of estuaries are summed up, at the same time, corresponding methods are given to solve these problems, and a few successful examples are also given. The idea of comprehensive regulation and utilization of estuaries is put forward, and some proposals for solution of sediment deposition in this kind of estuaries are made. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose a heterogeneous multi-stage model to study the effect of social reinforcement on information propagation. Both heterogeneity of network components and the heterogeneity of individual reinforcement thresholds are considered. An information outbreak condition is derived, according to which the outbreak scale and individual density of each state under specific propagation parameters can be deduced. Monte Carlo experiments are conducted in Facebook networks to demonstrate the outbreak condition, and we find that social reinforcement effects generally inhibit the propagation of information though it contributes to the emergence of certain hot spots simultaneously. Additionally, by applying Pontryagin's Maximum Principle, we derive the optimal control strategy in the case of limited control resources to maximize the information propagation. Then the forward–backward sweep method is utilized to verify its performance with numerical simulation. 展开更多

Conventional multi-stage constant current charging strategies often use higher multiples of current to charge the battery in pursuit of shorter charging times.However,this leads to an increase in battery temperature,while shortening the charging time.This in turn affects the safety of the charging process.Furthermore,the higher charging currents are not ideal for shortening the charging time in the later stages of charging.To solve the aforementioned problems,in this study,a multi-stage constant current charging strategy is presented.This strategy can shorten the battery charging time by using the increase in battery temperature during the charging process as a constraint,using a genetic algorithm to calculate the charging current value,and investigating the phased approach to charging.Finally,the charging strategy is experimentally validated at different ambient temperatures and different initial SOCs.The experimental results show that the charging strategy proposed in this paper not only reduces the amount of calculations,but also reduces the temperature rise by up to 46.4%and charging time by up to 4.2%under different operating conditions. 展开更多

Equipment development planning(EDP)is usually a long-term process often performed in an environment with high uncertainty.The traditional multi-stage dynamic programming cannot cope with this kind of uncertainty with unpredictable situations.To deal with this problem,a multi-stage EDP model based on a deep reinforcement learning(DRL)algorithm is proposed to respond quickly to any environmental changes within a reasonable range.Firstly,the basic problem of multi-stage EDP is described,and a mathematical planning model is constructed.Then,for two kinds of uncertainties(future capabi lity requirements and the amount of investment in each stage),a corresponding DRL framework is designed to define the environment,state,action,and reward function for multi-stage EDP.After that,the dueling deep Q-network(Dueling DQN)algorithm is used to solve the multi-stage EDP to generate an approximately optimal multi-stage equipment development scheme.Finally,a case of ten kinds of equipment in 100 possible environments,which are randomly generated,is used to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed models.The results show that the algorithm can respond instantaneously in any state of the multistage EDP environment and unlike traditional algorithms,the algorithm does not need to re-optimize the problem for any change in the environment.In addition,the algorithm can flexibly adjust at subsequent planning stages in the event of a change to the equipment capability requirements to adapt to the new requirements. 展开更多

Besides deriving its algebraic solutions, a simple searching method is successfully applied in obtaining optimal total costs and its integer multipliers. Our model has shown promising results in comparison to Equal Cycle Time and other existing ones. The tests focused on obtaining optimal total annual costs and other related details of Two-, Three- and Four-Stage for deterministic models. In this study, we apply the data envelopment analysis(DEA) model to quantitatively measure the input and output efficiency of 19 urban agglomerations in China from 2011 to 2016. The results show that the input and output efficiency of urban agglomerations is relatively not high, only a small number of that reach the optimal DEA efficiency. It is clearly revealed that there are the regions from the east that presents the better performance, followed by regions from the central and the west. The peer counts show that Zhusanjiao is taken into account 12 times which shows the importance here of the Zhusanjiao model.Considering the values for radial movements and the slack movements, respective urban agglomeration has their improving orientation towards the capital slack, the labor slack or the land slack. BZ oilfield in Bohai Bay of China was a typical offshore low permeability oilfield, which was restricted by many factors such as environment and economy. In this paper, the development characteristics of BZ oilfield were summarized in depth, and the new development mode of offshore low-permeability oilfield was explored from reservoir prediction, well spacing and fracturing technology. Taking BZ oilfield as an example, a set of technical system for the effective development of offshore low permeability oilfield had been formed through research, which mainly includes reservoir prediction and evaluation of offshore middle and deep low permeability oilfield, optimization of horizontal well pattern, multi-stage fracturing design of horizontal well and other technologies. The results show that improving the resolution of seismic data, strengthening the analysis of seismic reflection characteristics and carrying out the comprehensive study of seismic geology were the keys to solve the reservoir prediction of offshore low-permeability oil fields. Multi-stage fracturing horizontal well pattern is the main pattern of offshore low-permeability oilfield development. The parameters of multi-stage fracturing horizontal well together affect the development effect. Selecting the optimal fractured horizontal well pattern can greatly improve the development effect. The successful combination and application of new technology system was the foundation and core of conquering offshore low-permeability oil fields. On the basis of understanding the geological characteristics of oil reservoirs, it is an effective means of developing offshore low-permeability oil fields by selecting reasonable production methods, well types and well patterns. Using efficient perforation and fracturing technology to successfully control fracture parameters and form optimal injection and production well pattern was the key to improve low permeability offshore oil fields. 展开更多
