The electrode modified by multiwalled carbon nanotubes, Ru(bpy...An alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH)-coexisted solidstate electrochemiluminescence (ECL) biosensor for sensitive detection of the p53 gene was developed. The electrode modified by multiwalled carbon nanotubes, Ru(bpy)]2+3 and polypyrrole ( MWNTs-Ru (bpy) ]2+3 -PPy ) was prepared to adsorb the ssDNA by electrostatic interactions. Then, the ssDNA recognized the gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)-labeled p53 gene and produced the AuNPs-dsDNA electrode with the AuNPs layer. The AuNPs layer adsorbed the ADH molecules for producing the ECL signal. Thus, the biosensor was based on coupling enzyme substrate reaction with solid-state ECL detection, and it displayed good sensitivity and specificity. The detection limit of the wild type p53 sequence (wtp53) is as low as 0. 1 pmol/L and the discrimination is up to 57. 1% between the wtp53 and the muted type p53 sequence (mtp53). The amenability of this method to the analyses of p53 from normal and cancer cell lysates is demonstrated. The signal of wtp53 in the MGC-803 gastric cancer cell lysates turns out to be about 61.8% that of the wtp53 in the GES-1 normal gastric mucosal cell lysates, and the concentration of the wtp53 is found to decrease about 59 times. The method is highly complementary to enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and it holds promise for the diagnosis and management of cancer.展开更多

The network state information maintained at every no...The goal of quality-of-service (QoS) multicast routing is to establish a multicast tree which satisfies certain constraints on bandwidth, delay and other metrics. The network state information maintained at every node is often im- precise in a dynamic environment because of non-negligible propagation delay of state messages, periodic updates due to overhead concern, and hierarchical state aggregation. The existing QoS multicast routing algorithms do not provide satisfactory performance with imprecise state information. We propose a distributed QoS multicast routing scheme based on traffic lights, called QMRI algorithm, which can probe multiple feasible tree branches, and select the optimal or near-optimal branch through the UR or TL mode for constructing a multicast tree with QoS guarantees if it exists. The scheme is designed to work with imprecise state information. The proposed algorithm considers not only the QoS requirements but also the cost optimality of the multicast tree. The correctness proof and the complexity analysis about the QMRI algorithm are also given. In addition, we develop NS2 so that it is able to simulate the imprecise network state information. Extensive simulations show that our algorithm achieves high call-admission ratio and low-cost multicast trees with modest message overhead.展开更多

The as-prepared nanocrystallines were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope, photoluminescence spectra and X-ray luminescence spectra. It is shown that the assistant fuel ethanol has the effect of decreasing the water needed, simplifying the experiment procedure by dissolving rare earth nitrate and sulfur-contained organic fuel into an even solution, and prompting the formation of rare earth oxysulfide by igniting firstly during heating that leads to combustion decomposition reaction. Y2O2S : Eu nano crystallines with strong photoluminescence and X-ray luminescence are obtained using thioacetamide as organic fuel. Mixtures of Y2O3 : Eu and Y2O2S : Eu are acquired using thiourea as fuel, and the content of Y2O2S : Eu increases until reaches to about half of the Y2O3 : Eu with the increasing amount of thiourea. Y2O2SO4 : Eu emerges when S/Y = 6 and increases with increasing thiourea amount.展开更多

The topology of LEO satellite networks was simplified aiming at minimizing intersatellite links handover number. To optimize the route based on the simplified topology, we considered not only the transmission delay but also the queuing delay and the processing delay, which were analyzed using Markov chain and determined using a novel methodology. The DRBST algorithm was simulated in a LEO satellite networks model built using OPNET. The simulation results demonstrate that the low complexity DRBST algorithm can guarantee end-to-end delay bound. Moreover, the muting protocol cost is much less than traditional algorithms.展开更多

But its per-formance suffers greatly from mobility-induced location errors that can cause Lost Link (LLNK) and LOOP problems. Thus various mobility prediction algorithms have been proposed to mitigate the errors, but sometimes their prediction errors are substantial. A novel mobility prediction technique that incorpo-rates both mobile positioning information and road topology knowledge was presented. Furthermore, the performance of the scheme was evaluated via simulations, along with two other schemes, namely, Linear Velocity Prediction (LVP) and Weighted Velocity Prediction (WVP) for comparison purpose. The results of simulation under Manhattan mobility model show that the proposed scheme could track the movement of a node well and hence provide noticeable improvement over LVP and MVP.展开更多
