This species is similar to Mitraspora coreosiniperca Xiao at feng,1997,but the latter have a larger spore than the former and the former is blunt at anterior end of the spore, while the latter is slightly sharp at anterior end. 2. Myxobolus tuenfengensis sp.nov. (Fig.2) Host:Saurogobio dabryi Bleeker Location:Gill Locality:Tuanfeng Town,Hubei province(30°20′N,111°5′E) Date:June 1984. Cyst:Round or elliptical shaped with 0.3-0.5mm in size. Spore:Ovoid or nearly ellipsoid in thecal view and spindle in sutural view. The anterior end is truncate and the posterior end is blunt. The sutural ridge is rough and straight with distinct intercapsular appendix. Two pyriform polar capsules are equal in size.Sporoplasm is even, with an iodinophililous vacuole and two round germinal nuclei.Dimensions of preserved (in 4%Formalin) spores:Length 12.8 (12-13.6),width 9.4 (8.4-10),thickness 6.6 (6.0-7.0);length of the polar capsules 4.5 (4.0-5.0),width 3.0 (2.9-3.2). This species is similar to Myxobolus mesentricus Kudo,1919 and Myxobolus haichengensis Chen,1998. But the spore of our new species is larger than the other two species and they also differ in the size and form of polar capsules.展开更多

Vegetative form: Cyst and trophozoite not observed. Spore: Flat ovid in sutural view, nearly spherical in thecal view, sharp at anterior end, round at posterior end, sutural ridge straight and rough; shell valve smooth, cylinder lucid and membrane-like protrustions present on two lateral sides of posterior end. Two polar capsules situated at the anterior end of the spore, being equal in size and nearly spherical. Sporoplasm with an iodinophilous vacuole and two nuclei. Dimension of spore : spore 6.2(5.9-6.5)μm, width 7.7(7.6-7.8)μm, thickness 5.6(5.2-6)μm, diameter of polar capsules 2.3(2.2-2.4)μm. outgrowth 3 × 3.6μm. This new species is similar to Podospora plagiognathopis Chen et Hsich, 1984, but differs from the latter by being smaller in size, and having two cylinder lucid and membrane-like protrusions present on two lateral sides of posterior end. 2. Myxobolus chinensis sp. nov. (Fig.2) Host: Hypseleotris swinhonis (Gnther). Location: The muscle of pack, between head and chest.. Locality: Wuhan, Donghu Lake. (30° 31, N, 1 14°20, E) Dote of collection: August 7.1993. Cyst: Ellipsoild, white, size 0.5-0.3cm. Spore: Pyriform in front view, spindle in sutural view, spore shell smooth. Sutural ridge straight and sturdy, intercapsular process distinct, two long rod-like polar capsules equal in size, polar filament distince and coiled 12- 14 circles. Sporoplasm with an iodinophilous vacuole and two nuclei. Two ovoid or triangular polar capsules nuclei situated under the polar capsules, with 4 to 5 "V" shaped fold in the posterior, Dimentions of spores: length 14.l(14.2- 15)μm, width 8 (7.8-8.2) μm, thickness 6.5(6.4-6.6)μm, polar capsule 8.8(8.5-9.5)μm by 2.4(2.3-2.5)μm. This new species is similar to Myxobolus catlae Chakravarty 1943 but differs from the latter in size and shape of spores.展开更多

All the measurements are in mm. Type specimens are deposited in the Laboratory of Fish Disease, Institute of Hydrobiology, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan. 1. Gyrodactylus parabotia sp. nov. (Fig.1) Body small size, being 0.233-0.235 long and 0.045-0.05 in width. Marginal hooklets are of ordinary type; total length 0.025 -0.027, handle 0.02-0.022, point 0.005. Total length of anchors 0.051 -0.062; the basal portion 0.02, handle length 0.043-0.045, point about 0.027-0.037. Ventral bar 0.023-0.05, marginal hooklets 0.008-0.01. Dorsal bar 0.002×0.019-0.022. Cirrus armed with a row of four triangular spines and a large cuticular spine. Location, host and localities: gill of Parabotia fasciata Dabry; Cili, Hunan Province (29.42°N, 111.02°E). Description is based on 10 specimens. The new species is similar to G.latus Bychowsky, 1933 in the structure of opisthohaptor, but differs in the size and chitinod structure. 2. Gyrodactylus lichuanensis sp. nov. (Fig.2) Body small size, being 0.19 long and 0.025 in width. Marginal hooklets are of ordinary type; total length 0.027, handle 0.023 , point 0.003. Description is based on 5 specimens. The worm closely resembles G.oxycephali Achmerow, 1952 with reference to the anchor, but differs from the latter by the characteristics of the ventral bar, which is "一" shaped, while the ventral bar of the latter is small intestine shaped. 3.
