Publishers’Development Strategies in Response to Changes in National Reading-Analysis Based on the 16th to 20th National Reading Survey Report

Since 2014,nationwide reading has been included in the government work report for 10 consecutive times,and twice into the country’s five-year development plan.The importance of reading for individuals,society,and the country has become increasingly prominent.National reading has flourished,and throughout the 2018 to 2022 National Reading Survey Report,there have been welcome changes in national reading in China.This study compares and analyzes the relevant reading indicators of adult nationals from 2018 to 2022,and summarizes the five changes and new trends in national reading.That is,national reading awareness has increased,paper-book reading habits have returned,digital reading has become more diversified,the listening group has grown,and the voice of national reading activities has continued to rise.Accordingly,it provides relevant development strategies for publishers.

Contrastive Study of Public Sign Translation and Linguistic Landscape from the National Strategy Perspective

Study on public sign translation and linguistic landscape has become the most practical way of serving the national strategy of language service by the Chinese linguistic scholars.Contrasts of their definitions,functions,research scope and perspectives,and research content are made and approaches to coordinating the two research fields are proposed.It is pointed out that the two concepts are neither the same nor contradictive.Linguistic landscape study can only be enriched and better serve the national strategy if the research fruits of public sign translation are absorbed.

Cultural Confidence as a National Strategy: Significance and Construction

China＇ s International Strategic Thought and Layout for a New Era

Over the five years between the 18 th and 19 th National Congress of the CPC, the new generation of Chinese leadership, with Xi Jinping at the core, has proposed a series of ideas, theories, concepts and initiatives, built a whole set of organizational structures and mechanisms,enriched and improved foreign strategic plans, overcome a host of territorial and sovereign difficulties through the construction and use of the Belt and Road Initiative, breathed new life into head of state diplomacy and other diplomatic forms, and formulated China's international strategic thought and structure for the new era. These developments have positioned China as a great power and led to three major historic achievements, laying an important foundation for China to move from regional big power to global strong power. However, the time-space particularity of China's rise has meant that some structural issues cannot be solved easily, while some new problems are mushrooming. Life Strategy Traits of the Liana Sericostachys scandens Spreading in the Montane Forests in the Kahuzi-Biega National Park (DR Congo)

Sericostachys scandens is a monocarpic and heliophilous liana, native in tropical African forests. In the montane forests of the Kahuzi-Biega National Park (KBNP) (East of DR Congo), it has been expanding very strongly for a decade, and is currently considered as having negative impacts on biodiversity conservation. In this paper, we test if S. scandens differs from three co-occurring, native, non spreading lianas (Gouania longispicata, Tacazzea apiculata and Adenia bequaertii) for functional traits which might influence plant expansion. For leaf traits (SLA, dry matter content, nitrogen concentration), S. scandens did not show extreme values compared to those of the three other lianas. In contrast, S. scandens had much higher biomass allocation to sexual reproduction. It also differs from the three other lianas for its reproductive strategy that combines both vegetative propagation and sexual reproduction, and propagule dispersal by wind. Moreover, S. scandens has larger leaves and a greater number of lateral branches per unit stem length. It is argued that the particular combination of functional traits exhibited by S.scandens may in part explain its propensity to behave as an opportunistic weed in the disturbed areas in the montane forests of Kahuzi-Biega.

Impact of Transport Network Changes on Tourism in Protected Areas: A Case Study of Ayubia National Park, Pakistan

The inflow caused by tourists in peak seasons exerts an uncontrollable pressure on the existing infrastructure. The Ayubia National Park in Pakistan faces traffic delays and capacity restraints on the connecting roads in peak season. The study focuses on the formulation of critical strategies by deploying amendments in the transport network. The methodology contains three parts: 1) a questionnaire was designed to inquire about several variables from the visitors;2) the second part was traffic count data collection and analysis. Based on the response collected, the impact of multiple strategies on the network was analyzed using TransCad;3) in the third part, the results obtained were shared with experts to gain their valuable opinions. It was observed that the time of the day based access restriction to heavy vehicles could lead to dropping the Volume to capacity ratio from 1.7 to 1.2. However, the experts were also of the view that network changes can enhance and improve the visitors’ experience.

京津冀协同发展战略实施近十年来,北京非首都功能疏解取得明显成效,北京城市副中心和雄安新区“两翼”建设稳步推进,三地交通一体化、生态联防联控、产业转型升级三大领域取得率先突破,区域内体制机制改革与创新稳步实施。但仍面临经济份额下降、创新驱动经济增长能力不强、人口和经济过密与过疏现象并存等问题。展望未来,应从现代化首都都市圈建设、打造“一核两翼”空间新格局、优化区域现代产业分工体系与区域创新格局、创新跨区域协同治理体制机制等方面,全面推进京津冀协同发展迈向更高水平、更优效益和更高质量,努力使京津冀成为中国式现代化建设的先行区、示范区。

中国水层CO_(2)地质封存技术攻关方向

在国家“碳达峰碳中和”战略目标下,为了延长化石能源行业的生命周期,亟需进行大规模碳减排的重大革命,其中CO_(2)地质封存(CCS)这一大规模碳减排的托底技术,已在全球达成共识。为此,系统梳理了全球CCS发展趋势,并针对中国CCS地质特点和工程技术现状,分析了中国发展水层CCS面临的挑战和难点,提出了中国水层CO_(2)地质封存技术的攻关方向。研究结果表明:①中国水层CCS起步早,当前正在开展世界级规模水层CCS先导试验,技术水平与国外并行,CCS有望成为中国未来大规模碳减排的主要手段;②鉴于中国水层多无法回避陆相沉积、断裂发育、非均质性强等先天条件,中国未来建设大规模水层CCS将面临封存规模大、封存成本高和长期封存安全性等3个方面关键技术的挑战;③从推动和形成CCS负碳新产业角度,中国未来水层CCS碳埋存需要攻克CCS地质体评估、CO_(2)高速注入、低浓度CO_(2)封存、降低成本和地质监测等5个关键技术。结论认为,该研究认识进一步坚定了中国发展水层CCS技术的信心,提出的5个方面关键技术为快速形成负碳领域的国家战略科技力量明确了攻关方向,同时为后续推动大规模地下储氢、储氦、压缩空气储能等战略性新兴行业的发展提供了前瞻性技术支撑。
