Progress in neurorehabilitation research and the support by the National Natural Science Foundation of China from 2010 to 2022

The National Natural Science Foundation of China is one of the major funding agencies for neuro rehabilitation research in China.This study reviews the frontier directions and achievements in the field of neurorehabilitation in China and wo rldwide.We used data from the Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC) database to analyze the publications and data provided by the National Natural Science Foundation of China to analyze funding information.In addition,the prospects for neurorehabilitation research in China are discussed.From 2010 to 2022,a total of 74,220 publications in neurorehabilitation were identified,with there being an overall upward tendency.During this period,the National Natural Science Foundation of China has funded 476 research projects with a total funding of 192.38 million RMB to support neuro rehabilitation research in China.With the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China,China has made some achievements in neurorehabilitation research.Research related to neurorehabilitation is believed to be making steady and significant progress in China.

Aortic Dissection Research in China:Analysis of Studies Funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China

Objective The National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC)has made great progress in promoting the development of aortic dissection research in recent years.This study aimed to examine the development and research status of aortic dissection research in China so as to provide references for future research.Methods The NSFC projects data from 2008 to 2019 were collected from the Internet-based Science Information System and other websites utilized as search engines.The publications and citations were retrieved by Google Scholar,and the impact factors were checked by the InCite Journal Citation Reports database.The investigator’s degree and department were identified from the institutional faculty profiles.Results A total of 250 grant funds totaling 124.3 million Yuan and resulting in 747 publications were analyzed.The funds in economically developed and densely populated areas were more than those in underdeveloped and sparsely populated areas.There was no significant difference in the amount of funding per grant between different departments’investigators.However,the funding output ratios of the grants for cardiologists were higher than those for basic science investigators.The amount of funding for clinical researchers and basic scientific researchers in aortic dissection was also similar.Clinical researchers were better in terms of the funding output ratio.Conclusion These results suggest that the medical and scientific research level of aortic dissection in China has been greatly improved.However,there are still some problems that urgently need to be solved,such as the unreasonable regional allocation of medical and scientific research resources,and the slow transition from basic science to clinical practice.

The 2010–2020 National Natural Science Foundation of China:Radiation Therapy

Objective This study explains the application number and funding rate of oncology projects undertaken by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC),with focus on tumor radiotherapy-related research over the past 11 years.Methods A stratified analysis was carried out on the application and funding status of tumor radiotherapy studies in different NSFC project categories,different research areas,and different tumor types.Research areas that required specific focus,such as immunology-related radiotherapy,multimodality imaging and radiomics,and post-radiotherapy organ injury,were separately analyzed.Results The status and development trends of various related research fields were studied,and the research results were presented with the support of the NSFC,in order to provide reference for future applications and funding allocations.Conclusion The number of applications for funding increases every year.Although the total number of funded projects has also increased every year,the funding rate has decreased year by year.Projects on radiotherapy and immunization have been at the forefront in recent years,and the funding rate for these projects increases yearly.

Evaluation for Innovation Ability of National Agricultural Science and Technology Parks in Jiangxi Province

Innovative ability is an important indicator for judging the effectiveness of the national agricultural science and technology park construction. Based on the statistical data of four national agricultural science and technology parks built in Jiangxi Province, this paper constructs an evaluation system consisting of three first-level indicators, eight second-level indicators and 24 three-level indicators. Based on the combined weighting method, the comprehensive scores of the innovation capabilities of the parks are obtained. It is found that the gap in innovation capability of each park is wide, and the radiation-driven function has not yet appeared. It is necessary to promote the improvement of innovation capabilities by promoting the synergy and innovation of agricultural science and technology in the park, encouraging the park to construct agricultural technology business incubators, and building and improving innovation platforms.

Studies on China graphene research based on the analysis of National Science and Technology Reports

The study tries to reveal the situation and development trends of China's graphene research utilizing National Science and Technology Reports(NSTR) as the new data resource. Findings show a continual increase of graphene projects sponsored by the government. Most of them are from the National Basic Research Program of China and the National High-tech R&D Program,which reflects mainly aiming for breakthroughs of China's graphene research in major frontier fields and promoting industrial competitiveness. As a new material in nanometer area,the graphene research mainly focuses on nanometer research area. Besides,it has also involved more in the promising applications,such as advanced energy technology,biological and medical technology,testing and analytical instrument technology,etc. Major players are universities and research institutes,and they have collaborated a lot. Few enterprises have played an important role in the collaboration network,so China's graphene research is still mainly in the basic research step. Key scholars with their research interests have been revealed.

The Swiss National Science Foundation

Introduction The Swiss National Science Foundation （SNSF） is Switzerland＇s leading provider of scientific research funding. The SNSF annually supports some 7 200 researchers, almost 80 percent of whom are aged 35 years or younger. With its federal mandate, it supports basic research in all disciplines, from philosophy and biology to the nanosciences and medicine. It also invests in applied research in various scientific fields. The focus of its activities is the scientific endorsement of projects submitted by researchers. The best applicants are funded by the SNSF with an annual total amount equaling approximately CHF 700 million.

Introduction of the Beijing SHRIMP Center (National Science and Technology Infrastructure)

The Beijing SHRIMP Center (BSC) is one of the National Science and Technology Infrastructures,jointly recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance of China.It was established in December of 2001 and is incorporated into the Institute of Geology,China Geological Survey in Beijing.The major objectives of the BSC are to undertake research in geochronology and cosmochronology,the formation and early history of the solar system and the Earth and tectonic evolution of orogenic belts.The BSC also develops Earth Sciences related instruments and related new dating techniques and methods.

FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH IN NATURAL SCIENCE: SUPPORTING NATIONAL STRATEGY

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council have put forward "the strategy for revitalizing China through science and education" and decided to implement it with the turn of the century. 背景:目前大多数研究从国家自然科学基金资助论文和项目申请角度出发,对干细胞某一方面进行深入分析,或者验证某种评价方法,缺乏对干细胞领域国家自然科学基金已结题项目的全面分析。目的:了解2018-2022年干细胞领域国家自然科学基金结题项目资助情况及研究热点,为后续研究提供参考。

基于文献计量分析的土壤动物研究现状和发展趋势

文章基于Web of Science(WoS)核心数据库中2709篇和中国知网(CNKI)数据库中2012篇土壤动物领域文献,统计2003—2023年该领域发文数量、发文国家合作情况、研究机构、高频关键词等,分析对比土壤动物领域国内外研究现状。运用VOSviewer和CiteSpace两种可视化软件,旨在探讨该领域的研究重点和发展趋势。结果显示,我国在土壤动物领域的研究能力不断提高;国际合作研究在该领域存在不平衡的特点,中国研究机构与德、美等国的合作较为密切;国内外相关研究机构主要集中在高校,中国的研究机构在发表论文方面处于国际领先地位,但文献质量有待提升;国内文献多从生物多样性、群落结构功能与土壤理化性质之间的关系等方面展开,在凋落物降解、碳循环等方面的研究较少。二十多年来,土壤动物方面的研究逐渐受到重视和广泛关注,对该领域生态学问题的研究也逐步受到重视。

Enhancing the nursing discipline and developing nursing science in China

To improve our health care services,promote balanced development of inter-regional and inter-disciplinary medical care skills,and effectively implement public hospital reform,the former Ministry of Health,State Chinese Medicine Administration Bureau and the Ministry of Finance allocated state funds in 2010 to support a National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Project.The project supports the acquisition of key equipment,personnel training and development of clinical diagnosis technology in order to develop high-quality medical resources and improve clinical services.Because of the important role nursing plays,clinical nursing and specialty care were also included in the project.The Chinese Nursing Association was commissioned to oversee this project,which awarded 211 million RMB to nursing disciplines in 86 hospitals representing all regions of China.This funding has supported the rapid development of nursing disciplines,the results of which are outlined and described in this review.
