Two-stage Optimal Dispatching of AC/DC Hybrid Active Distribution Systems Considering Network Flexibility 被引量:7

The increasing flexibility of active distribution systems(ADSs)coupled with the high penetration of renewable distributed generators(RDGs)leads to the increase of the complexity.It is of practical significance to achieve the largest amount of RDG penetration in ADSs and maintain the optimal operation.This study establishes an alternating current(AC)/direct current(DC)hybrid ADS model that considers the dynamic thermal rating,soft open point,and distribution network reconfiguration(DNR).Moreover,it transforms the optimal dispatching into a second-order cone programming problem.Considering the different control time scales of dispatchable resources,the following two-stage dispatching framework is proposed.d dispatch uses hourly input data with the goal(1)The day-ahea of minimizing the grid loss and RDG dropout.It obtains the optimal 24-hour schedule to determine the dispatching plans for DNR and the energy storage system.(2)The intraday dispatch uses 15-min input data for 1-hour rolling-plan dispatch but only executes the first 15 min of dispatching.To eliminate error between the actual operation and dispatching plan,the first 15 min is divided into three 5-min step-by-step executions.The goal of each step is to trace the tie-line power of the intraday rolling-plan dispatch to the greatest extent at the minimum cost.The measured data are used as feedback input for the rolling-plan dispatch after each step is executed.A case study shows that the comprehensive cooperative ADS model can release the line capacity,reduce losses,and improve the penetration rate of RDGs.Further,the two-stage dispatching framework can handle source-load fluctuations and enhance system stability. 展开更多

A novel methodology is presented for simultaneously optimizing synthesis and cleaning schedule of flexible heat exchanger network(HEN)by genetic/simulated annealing algorithms(GA/SA).Through taking into account the effect of fouling process on optimal network topology,a preliminary network structure possessing two-fold oversynthesis is obtained by means of pseudo-temperature enthalpy(T-H)diagram approach prior to simultaneous optimization.Thus,the computational complexity of this problem classified as NP(Non-deterministic Polynomial)-complete can be significantly reduced.The promising matches resulting from preliminary synthesis stage are further optimized in parallel with their heat exchange areas and cleaning schedule.In addition,a novel continu- ous time representation is introduced to subdivide the given time horizon into several variable-size intervals according to operating periods of heat exchangers,and then flexible HEN synthesis can be implemented in dynamic manner.A numerical example is provided to demonstrate that the presented strategy is feasible to decrease the total annual cost(TAC)and further improve network flexibility,but even more important,it may be applied to solve large-scale flexible HEN synthesis problems. 展开更多

System reliability can produce a strong influence on the performance of the heat exchanger network(HEN).In this paper,an optimization method with system reliability analysis for flexible HEN by genetic/simulated annealing algorithms(GA/SA) is presented.Initial flexible arrangements of HEN is received by pseudo-temperature enthalpy diagram.For determining system reliability of HEN,the connections of heat exchangers(HEXs) and independent subsystems in the HEN are analyzed by the connection sequence matrix(CSM),and the system reliability is measured by the independent subsystem including maximum number of HEXs in the HEN.As for the HEN that did not meet system reliability,HEN decoupling is applied and the independent subsystems in the HEN are changed by removing decoupling HEX,and thus the system reliability is elevated.After that,heat duty redistribution based on the relevant elements of the heat load loops and HEX areas are optimized in GA/SA.Then,the favorable network configuration,which matches both the most economical cost and system reliability criterion,is located.Moreover,particular features belonging to suitable decoupling HEX are extracted from calculations.Corresponding numerical example is presented to verify that the proposed strategy is effective to formulate optimal flexible HEN with system reliability measurement. 展开更多

As the emergence of various highbandwidth services and the requirements to support 5G/Wi-Fi 6 wireless networks,the next generation fixed networks,i.e.F5G,are expected to be realized in the 5G era.F5G is endowed with new characteristics,including ultra-high bandwidth,all-optical connections and optimal service experience.With the prospect of optical-to-everywhere,optical technologies are used for mobile front-haul,mid-haul,and back-haul.Optical access networks would play an important role in F5G to support radio access network and fixed access network.Low-latency PON is a key for cost effective-haul traffic aggregation.In terms of signal transmission,intensity modulation directdetection(IM-DD)is a promising scheme due to its simple architecture.The fundamental challenge associated with direct-detection is the disappearance of the transmitted signal’s phase.In access network,the flexibility and low latency are the two key factors affecting service experience.In this article,we review the evolution of PONs and the challenges of current PONs in detail.We analyze key enabling digital signal processing(DSP)techniques,including detection linearization for direct-detection and simplified coherent detection,adaptive equalizers,digital filer enabled flexible access network and low-latency inter-ONU communications.Finally,we discuss the developing trends of future optical access networks. 展开更多

Entrepreneurship corporate social responsibility is concerned with obligations that should be undertaken by an enterprise or "enterprise citizen" to the society including interrelationship between enterprise and some related interest dependents. And it is a sense of value, discipline and respect to the people, community and environment-related policies of the enterprise. Obviously, the core of the notion refers to a commitment of the enterprise in order to improve living standard of related interest counterparts. Nowadays, entrepreneurship corporate social responsibility has been not only an ethical call, but also an institutional constraint. The consensus is that in operation process an enterprise should take into account of its economic, social and ethical effects on consumers, staffs, shareholders, communities, local governments and environment and make a better prospect to them. Based on this point of view, by field work and questionnaire method, this paper discusses specifically the interaction between TNCs' R&D activities and local development of the Pudong New Area, a China's largest special economic zone in Shanghai to explore dynamics of the TNCs' R&D activities, growth of the local economy and their roles in promoting flexible innovation networks for sustainable futures. Because the main failure type of a dangerous rock mass is collapse, the treatment of such a mass should focus on controlling collapse failure. When treating dangerous rock masses, disturbing the mass (e. g. by blasting) needs to be avoided, as this new damage could cause collapse. So the self-bearing capacity of the mountain mass must be used to treat the dangerous rock mass. This article is based on a practical example of the control of a dangerous rock mass at Banyan Mountain, Huangshi, Hubei Province. On the basis of an analysis of damage mechanism and the stability of the dangerous rock mass, a flexible network reinforcement method was designed to prevent the collapse of the rock mass. The deformations of section Ⅱ w of the dangerous rock mass before and after the flexible network reinforcement were calculated using the two-dimensional finite element method. The results show that the maximum deformation reduced by 55 % after the application of the flexible network reinforcement, from 45.99 to 20.75 ram, which demonstrates that the flexible network method is effective, and can provide some scientific basis for the treatment of dangerous rock masses. 展开更多

Firstly,the streams with rangers of supply temperatures and/or the streams with the rangers of heat capacityflow rates are pretreated; Secondly, several rules are proposed to establish the superstructuremodel of HEN with splits and the simultaneous optimal mathematical model of flexible HEN; Thirdly,the improving genetic algorithm is applied to solve the mathematical model established at the secondstep effectively, and the original optimal structure of HEN based on the maximum operation limitingcondition can be obtained easily; Finally, the rules of heat exchange unit merged and the heat loadof heat exchanger relaxed are presented, the flexible configuration of HEN satisfied the operationcondition between the upper and down bounds of supply temperature and heat capacity flow rates canbe obtained based on the original optimal structure of HEN by means of these rules. Methods The graph theory-based program Constraint Network Analysis and normal mode-based program NMsim were used to analyze the global and local flexibility indices as well as the fluctuation of individual residues in detail. Results The decrease in Cry1 Aa network rigidity with the increase of temperature was evident. Two phase transition points in which the Cry1 Aa structure lost rigidity during the thermal simulation were identified. Two rigid clusters were found in domains I and II. Weak spots were found in C-terminal domain III. Several flexible regions were found in all three domains; the largest residue fluctuation was present in the apical loop2 of domain II. Conclusion Although several flexible regions could be found in all the three domains, the most flexible regions were in the apical loops of domain II. 展开更多

Cooling water systems(CWSs)are extensively utilized in various industries to eliminate the excess heat and converse energy.Studies on CWSs mainly concentrated on finding the optimal cooler network structure.In addition,some works also considered the optimal design under varied operation conditions.However,in these works,once the optimal design of the cooler's network is determined,its arrangement remains fixed and cannot be adapted to accommodate diverse operating conditions.In this work,a flexible topology network concept is proposed to make the adjustment of network structure possible under different operation conditions.The CWS with integrated air cooler and flexible topology network has better overall performance,represented by a mixed integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)model that require advanced tools such as GAMS software.Case studies revealed that the proposed methodology can realize better energy-saving performance,and improve the economic performance under varied operation conditions.The impact of critical flexible nodes on system configuration and economy is achieved by sensitivity analysis. 展开更多

This paper presents a stochastic optimal operation problem of gas turbine integrated distribution networks in the presence of active management schemes,which is formulated as a multi-objective chance-constrained mixed integer nonlinear programming problem.The control variables are the on-load tap-changer tap position,the power provided by the distributed generation(DG),the DG power factor angle,the load participating in demand side management and the switch status.The objectives defined in this paper are to simultaneously minimize the expectation cost and variation coefficient of security distance.Uncertainties related to DG output and load fluctuation and fault power restoration under contingencies are also considered in the optimization problem.The collaboration of normal boundary intersection and the dynamic niche differential evolution algorithm is proposed to handle the optimal operation mode.Simulation results are presented and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.Compared with the operation result without the consideration of security,the security-constrained operation can reduce the expectation cost.Therefore,the proposed optimization is reasonable and valuable. 展开更多

As the structures of multiple branch lines(MBLs)will be widely applied in the future flexible DC distribution network,there is a urgent need for improving system reliability by tackling the frequent non-permanent pole-to-pole(P-P)fault on distribution lines.A novel fault restoration strategy based on local information is proposed to solve this issue.The strategy firstly splits a double-ended power supply network into two single-ended power supply networks through the timing difference characteristics of a hybrid direct current circuit breaker(HDCCB)entering the recloser.Then,a method based on the characteristic of the transient energy of fault current is proposed to screen the faulty branch line in each single-ended power supply network.Also,a four-terminal flexible DC distribution network with MBLs is constructed on PSCAD to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed strategy.Various factors such as noise,fault location,and DC arc equivalent resistance are considered in the simulation model for testing.Test results prove that the proposed strategy for fault restoration is effective,and features high performance and scalability. 展开更多

The granularity of the flexible bandwidth optical network is the spectral slots, which is much smaller than that of the wavelength switch optical network. For the dynamic clients' connections setup and tear down processes, it will give rise to fragmentation of spectral resources. It is the decline in the probability of finding sufficient contiguous spectrum for new connections that result in the fragmentation of spectral resource. To be more specific, these spectra may be unavailable and waste. In this case, the severe waste of the spectrum will lead to low efficiency in spectral utilization and will not adapt to large capacity requirements of transmission in the future. Because path computation element (PCE) framework has the characteristics of the central disposal and deployment of the spectrum resource, we construct the spectral resource allocation scenario based on PCE framework in the flexible bandwidth optical network to use spectrum resource effectively Based on the principle of the generation of the fragmentation, we put forward a spectrum resource defragmentation algorithm to consolidate the available spectrum for clients' connections. The simulation results indicate that this algorithm is able to reduce fragmentation of network, improve the continuity of spectral resource, reduce the blocking rate of services in the network and improve the spectral efficiency significantly. 展开更多
