However, future ridership is expected to plummet due to an aging and shrinking population with one of the fastest declining ...Seoul Metro is Seoul’s leading metro company, transporting up to 3 billion people annually. However, future ridership is expected to plummet due to an aging and shrinking population with one of the fastest declining total fertility rates in the world. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 accelerated this phenomenon. On the contrary, the e-commerce and home delivery industries have developed significantly since COVID-19. Seoul’s current logistics infrastructure cannot handle it. Under the inflection point of declining passenger transportation demand and increasing urban logistics demand, urban rail operators need new growth engines. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the introduction of an UULS (underground urban logistics system) that transports parcels instead of passengers through urban railways. If the UULS becomes a reality, it can be expected to secure scarce logistics land in cities, protect the environment and prevent traffic congestion by operating eco-friendly mass urban transportation, and acquire new revenue sources for urban rail operators. The UULS’s B/C ratio is 1.32. The sensitivity analysis shows that the ratio is above 1 in most cases where the unit cost of transportation is not significantly reduced.展开更多

文摘With the initiation of the construction plan of "new engineering", the research and discussion on new engineering in China areunprecedentedly active, and practical exploration has been on the way. In this paper, starting from the internal and externalperspectives, combined with the development trend of economy and science and technology, and the need of university'sinnovation and development, the necessity of building and developing new engineering was analyzed;based on the currentpractice of Engineering education, the intrinsic characteristics of the new subject were put forward, and the current and long-termproblems that need to be solved to promote the innovation of engineering education were discussed.

文摘In view of the increasing number of postgraduates,the quality of postgraduates also presents the situation of multi-level differentiation.In this paper,combined with the requirements of new engineering construction for personnel training,the collaborative innovation training mode of postgraduates under the background of new engineering is explored.Those include:breaking through the single training of teacherpupil inheritance and establishing a team cooperative training mechanism;Breaking through the limit of a single discipline and realizing the cooperative training mechanism of engineering postgraduates across disciplines and schools;Breaking through the closed training in colleges and universities,realizing the cooperative training in the industry,and building a cooperative training mechanism for postgraduates that involves production,study and research;and building an international science and technology cooperation platform and cultivating the cooperative innovation ability of postgraduates.

It represents a usefulmix of theoretical developments, testing and practical applications.We present in the following brief details in the papers, alphabeticallyin accordance with the last name of the first author.Barla presents a review of tunneling techniques with emphasison the full-face method combining full-face excavation and facereinforcement by means of fiber-glass elements with a yieldcontrolsupport. This method has been used successfully in difficultgeologic conditions, and for a wide spectrum of ground situations.The validation of the method with respect to the Saint Martin LaPorte access adit along the LyoneTurin Base tunnel experiencingseverely squeezing conditions during excavation is also includedin the paper. The numerical modeling with consideration of therock mass time-dependent behavior showed a satisfactory agreementwith monitoring results.
