A new hydrothermal field(Tianshi)was discovered on the rift valley wall through plume anomaly surveys and geological work conducted in 2012 and 2018 between 2°35′N and 2°43′N of the slow-spreading Carlsberg Ridge(CR).Here,the results of two expeditions conducted to detect and characterize the new hydrothermal field are reported.Mineralogical and geochemical data,as well as 14 C ages of a sediment core collected near the field are presented to reveal the hydrothermal history.Results show that the Tianshi field is a basalt-hosted hydrothermal system.Geochemical data of the sediments collected near the field indicate a strong hydrothermal contribution,and hydrothermal Fe and Cu fluxes range from 30 to 155 mg/(cm^(2)·ka)and 0.59 to 11.49 mg/(cm^(2)·ka),respectively.Temporal variations in the fluxes of hydrothermal Fe indicate that there have been at least three amplified hydrothermal venting events(H 1,H 2,and H 3)in the Tianshi field over the last 35.2 ka,in 28.6-35.2 ka BP,22.0-27.6 ka BP,and 1.2-11.4 ka BP,respectively.Hydrothermal event H 2 was driven by an increased magmatic production associated with sea level fall during the Last Glacial Maximum,while event H 3 was promoted by tectonic activity associated with a rapid sea level rise.This study further verified the role of sea level change in modulating hydrothermal activity on mid-ocean ridges. 展开更多

We propose a new two-mode thermo-and squeezing-mixed optical field, described by the new density operator ρ=1-e^f-|g|^2 e^ga^+b^+e^fa^+a|0〉 f_(bb) 〈0| e^(g*ab), where |0〉_(bb) 〈0| is the b-mode vacuum, e ^fa^+arepresents the thermo-field, and e^ga^+b^+ indicates squeezing. The photon statistics for ρ is studied by virtue of the method of integration within ordered product(IWOP) of operators. A new method of 3D transient eddy current field calculation is proposed. The Maxwell equations with time component elimination (METCE) are derived under the assumption of magnetic quasi static approximation, especially for the sample of low conductivity. Based on METCE, we deduce a more efficient reconstruction algorithm of a 3D transient eddy current field. The computational burden is greatly reduced through the new algorithm, and the computational efficiency is improved. This new algorithm decompounds the space-time variables into two individual variables. The idea is to solve the spatial vector component firstly, and then multiply it by the corresponded time component. The iterative methods based on METCE are introduced to recover the distribution of conductivity in magneto-acoustic tomography. The reconstructed images of conductivity are consistent with the original distribution, which validate the new method. 展开更多

Numerical simulation was used to estimate the temperature field within a poured concrete,mono-layer freezing-shaft lining.The affects from various factors were investigated.The maximum temperature within the lining increases as the lining thickness increases,decreases as the soil-side wall temperature decreases,decreases as the air temperature inside the shaft decreases and decreases as the air velocity inside the shaft increases.The compression speed of an insulating foam layer affects the maximum temperature difference between the interior and the sidewalls.The maximum temperature difference between the interior and the sidewalls approaches or exceeds the maximum allowable for the curing of poured concrete structures.Attention should be paid to the question of the lining cracking during the curing period.The temperature gradient in the vertical direction may be minimized by preventing air contact against the steel connection board supporting the base of the freshly poured section. 展开更多

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)are largely used in various applications because of their pollution-free products and high energy conversion efficiency.In order to improve the related design,in the present work a new spiral flow field with a bypass is proposed.The reaction gas enters the flow field in the central path and diffuses in two directions through the flow channel and the bypass.The bypasses are arranged incrementally.The number of bypasses and the cross-section size of the bypasses are varied parametrically while a single-cell model of the PEMFC is used.The influence of the concentration of liquid water and oxygen in the cell on the performance of different flow fields is determined by means of Computational fluid dynamics(COMSOL Multiphysics software).Results show that when the bypass number is 48 and its cross-sectional area is 0.5 mm^(2),the cell exhibits the best performances. 展开更多

The experiment was conducted in CNRRI’s field for 3 yr, employing completely randomized design with three replications, and each plot occupied 207 m~2. The soil in the experiment field contained: N, 2.48 g. kg, quick effective P 4 mg. kg, and quick effective K 53 mg·kg. The varieties tested were Zhemai 2 (barley), Zhemi 1 (watermelon), Suyu 1 (maize), and Shanyou 63 (hybrid rice). 展开更多
