New record of the feather star Palaeocomatella hiwia(Echinodermata:Crinoidea:Comatulida)from Zhenbei Seamount in South China Sea:new insights into the taxonomic position of Palaeocomatella

One specimen belonging to the family Comatellinae was collected from the Zhenbei Seamount(332.5–478.2 m)in the South China Sea in July 2022.Based on the morphological characters,the specimen was identified as Palaeocomatella hiwia McKnight,1977.It is first recorded from China Sea and redescribed in detail.This specimen differs from the original description from New Zealand for never showing syzygy at br4+5 or br5+6 on interior and br1+2 on exterior arms.However,it is much conform to the redescription to specimens from Indonesia,with only differences in position of the second syzygy and distalmost pinnule comb.Specimen is deposited in the Institute of Oceanology,Chinese Academy of Sciences.Phylogenetic analyses based on the mitochondrial c oxidase subunit I(COI)and 16S rRNA genes indicated that P.hiwia was nested within the tribe Phanogeniini and clustered with Aphanocomaster pulcher.Furthermore,P.hiwia showed same morphological features in terms of mouth placement,comb location,and number of comb teeth rows as other genera of Phanogeniini.Therefore,we suggest that the genus Palaeocomatella should be put in the tribe Phanogeniini.

A New Species and Two New Record Species of the Genus Stictochironomus Kieffer(Diptera:Chironomidae) from China

A new species of Stictochironomus Kieffer, S. juncaii sp. nov. from China is described and illustrated as male imago. S. multannulatus （Tokunaga） and S. pictulus （Meigen） are recorded in China for the first time. A key to the males of Stictochironomus in China is given. All specimens are deposited in the College of Life Science, Nankai University, China （BDN）.

A New Record Genus Polyamia DeLong,with Two New Species (Hemiptera:Cicadellidae:Deltocephalinae) from China

In the present paper, Polyamia DeLong is firstly recorded with two new species ——Polyamia penistenuis, sp. nov. and Polyamia drepananiforma, sp. nov. from China. The type specimens are deposited in the Entomological Museum of the Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture and Forestry, Yangling, Shaanxi, China.

A New Record Leafhopper Genus Sonronius Dorst(Hemiptera:Cicadellidae:Deltocephalinae)from China

The genus Sonronius Dorst and one species S.anderi（Ossiannilsson）are reported for the first timefrom China.A key and a checklist of all known species in the genus are provided.

Graminella nigrinota DeLong & Mohr(Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae)——a New Record from China

The hitherto North America grass feeding leafhopper genus and species Graminella nigrinota DeLong ＆ Molar comb. revived, are newly recorded from China. Details and figures of the species morphology are given and its generic placement briefly discussed.

Report on two species of noctuid moths(Lepidoptera,Noctuidae s.l.) new to China and one new record species in Continental fauna

This paper reports two noctuid moths, Atrachea japonica （Leech, 1889） and Autographa macrogamma （Eversmann, 1842） that are new to the Chinese fauna. They are distributed in Tahe County in Daxing＇anling forest region, China. In addition, a new recourd species, Neustrotia rectilineata Ueda, 1987, which is described from Mt, Sudo-san, Korea and Hotso, Prov. Taiwan, is newly added to continental fauna of the family Noctuidae s.l.. The external characteristics, genitalia photos, and the distributional ranges of those species are provided, and all the materials examined in this study are deposited in the collection of the Entomological Laboratory, Forestry college of Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China.

New records of Pentatomidae(Hemiptera:Heteroptera) from China

Three genera, Cuspicona Dallas, Hermolaus Distant and Oncinoproctus Breddin, and six species （Cuspicona antica Vollenhoven, Hermolaus typicus Distant, Menida atkinsoni Distant, Oncinoproctus griseolus Breddin, Paterculus aberrans Distant, and Rolstoniellus malacanicus （Yang）） of Pentatomidae are reported from China for the first time. Both dorsal and ventral habitus and genital illustrations of each species are provided. All specimens studied were from Institute of Entomology, Nankai University, Tianjin, China （NKUM） except Cuspicona antica Vollenhoven, 1868 whose involved species are kept at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences （IZCAS）.

Two New Record Species of the Genus Boletina Staeger(Diptera:Mycetophilidae)from China

Boletina dispeca and B.conjuncta are reported for the first time from China.The specimens aredeposited in the Entomological Collection of Zhejiang Forestry College,China.

Pelagodictyon Clarke,a newly recorded nanodiatom genus for China

Marine nanoplanktonic diatoms have been frequently either underestimated or overlooked in phytoplankton investigations due to their small size （2-20μm）, which allows most of them to pass through a regular phytoplankton net of 70μm pore size. For nanoplanktonic diatom classification, water samples （each 2000 mL） were collected from several representative sea areas of Chinese coast from May 2002 to May 2006. Pelagodictyon Clarke was identified as a newly recorded nanodiatom genus for China under transmission electron microscope （TEM）. This genus is characterized by the delicate structure of the valve face. The striae are seen to be formed by ribs with cross-ribs （frets） and the intervening spaces are occupied by polygonal cribra situated much close to the exterior face of the valve. Just one species was found, i.e., P. tenue Clarke. Detailed description of the taxonomic characteristics with TEM photographs of this species and its ecological habitat and distribution are given in this paper. Morphological characteristics comparisons among several resembling genera were discussed.

Morphological studies of six free-living spirotrichean ciliates (Protozoa： Ciliophora) with three new records from the coastal South China Sea

The living morphology and infraciliature of six spirotrichous ciliates collected from the coastal South China Sea were investigated using live observation and protargol impregnation. These are Euplotes woodruffi Gaw, 1939, Hemigastrostyla enigmatica （Dragesco and Dragesco-Kerneis, 1986） Song and Wilbert, 1997, Neourostylopsis flavicana （Wang et al., 2011） Chen et al., 2013, Protogastrostyla pulchra （Perejaslawzewa, 1886） Gong et al., 2007, Pseudoamphisiella alveolata （Kahl, 1932） Song and Warren, 2000, and PseudokahlieUa marina （Foissner et al., 1982） Berger et al., 1985. Among these, Protogastrostyla pulchra, Pseudoamphisiella alveolata and PseudokahlieUa marina are reported from the South China Sea for the first time, which manifest obvious differences apart from other Chinese populations. As new contribution, the detailed description of isolates from mangrove habitat of E. woodruffi and 1t. enigmatica, and aquaculture pond isolate of N.flavicana, are present.

New Records of Freeliving Marine Nematodes from Hong Kong,China

Six species of new records collected from intertidal mangrove/non-mangrove and subtidal cave sediments during a mangrove ecological study (1998-2001) and a marine cave expedition (2002) in Hong Kong waters are redescribed. These include two enoplids: Anoplostoma viviparum in Anoplostomatidae and Trissonchulus janetae in Ironidae, two chromadorids:Paracomesoma dubium and Actarjania splendens in Comesomatidae, and two monhysterids: Parodontophora marina and Parodontophora c.f. danker in Axonolaimidae. Five of them are the first records from China. Ecological and taxonomic remarks are provided and discussed in comparison with the original descriptions.

Four new recorded species of marine nanoplanktonic diatoms found in the East China Sea and Huanghai Sea

In a study of species composition of marine nanoplanktonic diatoms ( < 20 &mu;m) in water samples from the East China Sea and Huanghai Sea (Yellow Sea), four diatom species were identified by TEM as new records for China. They were Thalassiosira oceanica Hasle, Navicula britannica Hustedt et Aleem, Nitzschia leehyi Fryxell and Synedra indica Taylor. Detailed description of the taxonomic characteristics with TEM photographs of the four species and their ecological behavior and distribution is given in this paper.

A new record from China of epiphytic marine algae,Acrochaete leptochaete(Chaetophoraceae,Chlorophyta)with its primary experimental biology

Acrochaete leptochaete, a species in Chaetophoraceae （Chlorophyta）, was observed during our recent laboratory culture of the macroalgae Chaetornorpha that was originally collected from an intertidal pool in Rongcheng, Shandong Province, China. This is the first record of this species in China. Its morphology, taxonomy, and distribution were introduced and discussed in detail. Isolated culture experiments at different temperatures （9-29℃） and light intensities （36-108 μmol/m^2.s） were also carried out. The culture-based observations have extended our knowledge of growth morphology and general biology of the species.

New Discovery and Zircon Hf Isotopic Composition of the Early Yanshannian Monzogranite in the Yingyangguan Group of Eastern Guangxi, China

Objective The Yingyangguan Group is widely exposed in the southwestern segment of boundary belt between Yangtze and Cathaysian blocks and is mainly composed of a suit of lower-grade metamorphic marine volcanoclastic- sedimentary rocks （Zhou Hanwen et al., 2002）. Its forming age and petrogenesis are critical for better understanding the orogenic process and relationship of the Yangtze and Cathaysian blocks since the Neoproterozoic. However, few zircon U-Pb ages of samples from the Yingyangguan Group have been reported, which are much debated, such as the metamorphic spilite （819±11 Ma）, keratophyre （415.1±2.1 Ma） and ignimbrite （821.3±3.9 Ma） （Tian Yang et al., 2015 and references in）. In this study, we focus on the new discovered Early Yanshannian monzogranite and its mafic enclaves from the Yingyangguan Group, and conducted zircon U-Pb dating and in-situ Hf isotopic analyses to constrain their petrogenesis.

Notes on Species of the Subgenus Zeugodacus (Diptera: Tephritidae) from Yunnan, with Redescription of a Newly Recorded Species from China

Nine species in the subgenus Zeugodacus Hendel were known to occur in Yunnan. We add seven more species to the fauna of Yunnan. Among them, one species, Bactrocera (Zeugodacus) vultus Hardy, 1973, is reported from China for the first time. This species is redescribed in detail and its male genitalia are illustrated and described for the first time. A key to the species of the subgenus Zeugodacus from Yunnan is provided.

Rhipidothrips Uzel, a Newly Recorded Genus of Aeolothripidae (Thysanoptera: Terebrantia) from China

Rhipidothrips brunneus Williams of the family Aeolothripidae (Thysanoptera: Terebrantia) is recorded from China for the first time, representing the first record of the genus Rhipidothrips Uzel and the fourth genus of this family in China. A key is provided for the four genera known in China, with comments on each genus.

Newly recorded species of the genus Isohypsibius (Tardigrada;Hypsibiidae) from China

This paper reports two newly recorded species, lsohypsibius lunulatus Iharos, 1966 and lsohypsibiusprosostomus Thulin, 1928, of the genus lsohypsibius （Tardigrada; Hypsibiidae） from China. The specimens of lsohysibius lunulatus were collected from Taibai Mt （34°18′N, 107°42′E） at 2,500 m a.s.1, and those oflsohypsibius prosostomus from Taibai Mt （34°10′N, 107°35′E） at 2,000 m above sea level. All specimens are deposited at the College of Life Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, China. A key to the Chinese species of lsohypsibius was also given.

Description of a new species and a newly recorded species in the genus Eukiefferiella Thienemann,1926(Diptera:Chironomidae) from China

A new species, Eukiefferiella celata sp. nov., and a newly recorded species, E. brehmi Gouin, 1943, are described and illustrated as male imagines. A new synonym is proposed： E. togaeuquinta Sasa ＆ Okazawa, 1992, syn. nov. （= E. brehmi）.

A New Species and a Newly Recorded Species of the Genus Paratendipes Kieffer (Diptera: Chironomidae) from China

A new species of Paratendipes Kieffer, P. angustus sp. nov., is described and the male is illustrated. P. subaequalis （Malloch, 1915） is recorded in China for the first time.
