As an application of the method, we presented to find more exact solutions of nonlinear partial choose the (3+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation to illustrate the method. As a result many types of explicit and exact traveling wave solutions, which contain solitary wave solutions, trigonometric function solutions, Jacobian elliptic function solutions, and rational solutions, are obtained. This paper concentrates on compensating the power quality issues which have been increased in day-to-day life due to the enormous usage of loads with power electronic control.One such solution is compensating devices like Pension Protection Fund(PPF),Active power filter(APF),hybrid power filter(HPF),etc.,which are used to overcome Power Quality(PQ)issues.The proposed method used here is an active compensator called unified power quality condi-tioner(UPQC)which is a combination of shunt and series type active filter con-nected via a common DC link.The primary objective is to investigate the behavior of the compensators in the distribution networks.The performance of two configurations of UPQC,Right Shunt UPQC(RS-UPQC)and Left Shunt UPQC(LS-UPQC)are tested in the distribution networks under various load con-ditions by connecting them at the source side of harmonic generation using a spe-cially constructed transformer called inductively filtered converter transformer which adopts special wiring scheme at the secondary side.PSCAD(Power Sys-tems Computer Aided Design)/EMTDC(Electromagnetic Transients with DC Analysis)software is used to model the compensators connected to the nonlinear load.Both RS-UPQC and LS-UPQC are tested at the distribution side of the sup-ply system with Hysteresis current controller for shunt and Sinusoidal pulse with modulation controller for series at various locations of power system network and their results are compared. 展开更多

For low frequencies, |ω|〈〈|ωA|=νA/qR, it has been shown that the SAW continuum can becomeunstable due to finite ion temperature gradient. Here, νA is the Alfvén speed, q and R are the safety factor and the major radius of the flux surface, respectively. Recently, it has been shown, with the multiple scale asymptotic technique, that discrete modes may exist in an unstable shear Alfvén continuous spectrum, due to finite ion Larmor radius (FLR) and finite drift-orbit width (FOW) effects in tokamak plasmas which are stable with respect to ideal magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) instabilities . 展开更多

Reductive transformation of p-nitrotoluene by a new iron-fly ash packing

A reactor was designed to investigate the long-t... A new iron-fly ash packing was studied for reductive transformation of p-nitrotoluene. The packing was made of iron, fly ash and kaolin with the mass ratio of 36:7:2. A reactor was designed to investigate the long-term performance of the packing. The results showed that the reduction of p-nitrotoluene increased with decreasing pH, because the reduction potential of reaction increased with the concentration of H+. The pH was one of the key factors impacting the reductive transformation of p-nitrotoluene. Comparing iron-activated carbon packing with the new iron-fly ash packing, the reduction efficiencies were respectively 76.61% and 75.36% after20 days. The reduction efficiency for both was around 50% at 40 days. It was evident that these two kinds of packing had no significant difference in their capability for p-nitrotoluene reductive transformation. Compared with iron-activated carbon, the new iron-fly ash packing had obvious advantages in terms of manufacturing costs and environmental pollution degradation. This study showed that the new iron-fly ash packing had good performance in reductive transformation of nitrotoluene compounds. 展开更多

By virtue of the new technique of performing integration over Dirac's ket-bra operators, we ex- plore quantum optical version of classical optical transformations such as optical Fresnel transform, Hankel transform, ... By virtue of the new technique of performing integration over Dirac's ket-bra operators, we ex- plore quantum optical version of classical optical transformations such as optical Fresnel transform, Hankel transform, fractional Fourier transform, Wigner transform, wavelet transform and Fresnel- Hadmard combinatorial transform etc. In this way one may gain benefit for developing classical optics theory from the research in quantum optics, or vice-versa. We cannot only find some new quantum mechanical unitary operators which correspond to the known optical transformations, de- riving a new theorem for calculating quantum tomogram of density operators, but also can reveal some new classical optical transformations. For examples, we find the generalized Fresnel opera- tor (GFO) to correspond to the generalized Fresnel transform (GFT) in classical optics. We derive GFO's normal product form and its canonical coherent state representation and find that GFO is the loyal representation of symplectic group multiplication rule. We show that GFT is just the transformation matrix element of GFO in the coordinate representation such that two successive GFTs is still a GFT. The ABCD rule of the Gaussian beam propagation is directly demonstrated in the context of quantum optics. Especially, the introduction of quantum mechanical entangled state representations opens up a new area in finding new classical optical transformations. The complex wavelet transform and the condition of mother wavelet are studied in the context of quantum op- tics too. Throughout our discussions, the coherent state, the entangled state representation of the two-mode squeezing operators and the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators are fully used. All these have confirmed Dirac's assertion: "...for a quantum dynamic system that has a classical analogue, unitary transformation in the quantum theory is the analogue of contact transformation in the classical theory". 展开更多
