It is demonstrated that Pd/ACF and Pd/Cu/ACF have high catalytic activity for the reaction of NO/CO, while Pt/ACF, Pt/Cu/ACF and Co/Cu/ACF have very low catalytic activity in similar circumstance. Pd-modified ACF possesses high catalytic decomposition of NO at 300℃. Pd/CB and Pd/GAC present good catalytic decomposition ability for NO only at low flowrate. Pd/G, Pd/ZMS and Pd/A however, do not show any catalytic activity for NO decomposition even at 400℃. Catalytic temperature, NO flowrate and loading of metal components affect the decomposition rate of NO. The coexistence of Cu with Pd on Cu/Pd/ACF leads to crystalline of palladium to more unperfected so as to that increase the catalytic activity.展开更多

The effects of Fe and Mn on NO conversion and the deactivation of the catalysts were studied. N2 adsorption‐desorption, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, H2 temperature‐programmed reduction, NH3 temperature‐programmed desorption, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), thermal gravimetric analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to character‐ize the catalysts. The 8Fe‐8Mn/Al2O3 catalyst gave 99%of NO conversion at 150?? and more than 92.6%NO conversion was obtained in a wide low temperature range of 90–210??. XPS analysis demonstrated that the Fe3+was the main iron valence state on the catalyst surface and the addition of Mn increased the accumulation of Fe on the surface. The higher specific surface area, enhanced dispersion of amorphous Fe and Mn, improved reduction properties and surface acidity, lower binding energy, higher Mn4+/Mn3+ratio and more adsorbed oxygen species resulted in higher NO conversion for the 8Fe‐8Mn/Al2O3 catalyst. In addition, the SCR activity of the 8Fe‐8Mn/Al2O3 cata‐lyst was only slightly decreased in the presence of H2O and SO2, which indicated that the catalyst had better tolerance to H2O and SO2. The reaction temperature was crucial for the SO2 resistance of catalyst and the decrease of catalytic activity caused by SO2 was mainly due to the sulfate salts formed on the catalyst.展开更多

Effects of the amount of manganese and iron, oxygen, and calcination temperature on NO conversion were also investigated. It was found that the Mn-Fe/MPS catalyst with a Mn/Fe molar ratio of 1 showed the highest activity at the calcination temperature of 400 °C. The results showed that over this catalyst, NO conversion reached 70% under the condition of 280 °C and a space velocity of 5000 h-1. SO2 and H2O had no adverse impact on the reaction activity when the SCO reaction temperature was above 240 °C. In addition, the SCO activity was suppressed gradually in the presence of SO2 and H2O below 240 °C, and such an effect was reversible after heating treatment.展开更多

Many epidemiological investigations and animal experiments have indicated that learning and memory ability can be affected to different degrees after long-term exposure to CS2, but the mechanisms are still unclear. The aim of this study was to explore the possible mechanisms of CS2-related impairment of the learning and memory ability of rats, by investigating the effects of CS2 on nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity and NOS mRNA expression in rat hippocampus. Methods Rat models of toxicity were generated by inhalation of various doses of CS2. After two months of inhaling intoxication, the activities of constitutive NOS (cNOS) and induced NOS (iNOS) in the hippocampus were measured. The levels of neuronal NOS (nNOS) mRNA and iNOS mRNA were measured by semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results cNOS activity was significantly decreased compared with controls, while iNOS activity was changed only slightly. CS2 treatment significantly decreased nNOS mRNA levels, iNOS mRNA levels were significantly increased only at higher doses of CS2. Conclusion The effect of CS2 on learning and memory ability in rats is related to the activity of NOS and the expression of nNOS in the hippocampus.展开更多

文摘Background Carbon disulfide (CS2) is a commonly used organic solvent. Conclusion The effect of CS2 on learning and memory ability in rats is related to the activity of NOS and the expression of nNOS in the hippocampus.
