Subsequently, vibration response of tether in the tether-tube system is analyzed by Monte Carlo method. It may be concluded that when the tube is subjected to zero-mean Gaussian white noise random excitation, the displacement and velocity root mean square responses of tether reach the peak if the circular frequency of tube doubles that of tether; the displacement and velocity root mean square responses of tether increase as the random excitation root mean square increases; owing to the damping force of water, the displacement and velocity root mean square responses of tether decrease rapidly compared with tether in air; increasing the damping of the tether or tube reduces the displacement and velocity root mean square responses of tether; the large-amplitude vibration of tether may be avoided by locating dampers on the tether or tube.展开更多

The differential equation for electric potential is integrated radially to obtain the electric potential as a function of displacement. The random stress boundary conditions are converted into homogeneous ones by transformation, which yields the electrical and mechanical coupling differential equation for displacement under random excitations. Then this partial differential equation is converted into ordinary differential equations using the Galerkin method and the Legendre polynomials, which represent a random multi-degree-of-freedom system with asymmetric stiffness matrix due to the electrical and mechanical coupling and the transformed boundary conditions. The frequency-response function matrix and response power spectral density matrix of the system are derived based on the theory of random vibration. The mean-square displacement and electric potential of the piezoelectric shell are finally obtained, and the frequency-response characteristics and the electrical and mechanical coupling properties are explored.展开更多

First, the stochastic averaging method is introduced for controlled strongly non-linear systems under wide-band random excitation using generalized harmonic functions. Then, the dynamical programming equation for the saturated control problem is formulated from the partially averaged Itō equation based on the dynamical programming principle. The optimal control consisting of the unbounded optimal control and the bounded bang-bang control is determined by solving the dynamical programming equation. Finally, the response of the optimally controlled system is predicted by solving the reduced Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov (FPK) equation associated with the completed averaged Itō equation. An example is given to illustrate the proposed control strategy. Numerical results show that the proposed control strategy has high control effectiveness and efficiency and the chattering is reduced significantly comparing with the bang-bang control strategy.展开更多

Firstly, combined with line tests, a vehicle body with a length of 7 m was used as the research object. By comparing the results of experiment and simulation, the accuracy of the finite element model was verified. Secondly, the power spectral density curves at typical measuring points in bogie area were obtained by processing and calculating the line test data, which was measured when the vehicle ran at high speeds, and the standard vibration spectrum of the bogie area was obtained by the extreme envelope method. Furthermore, the random vibration test and simulation prediction analysis of the real vehicle structure were carried out to further verify the accuracy of the noise and vibration prediction model. Finally, according to the vibration and acoustic radiation theory, the indirect boundary element method was adopted to predict the acoustic response of the real vehicle. The analysis shows that the simulated power spectral density curves of acceleration and sound pressure level are highly consistent with the experimental ones, and the error between the simulated prediction and the experimental result is within the allowable range of 3 dB.展开更多

The methods for determining the number of the KL terms and defining the involved random variables are described in detail. The simplified form of the KL expansion is given, whereby the relationship between the KL expansion and the spectral representation method is investigated and revealed. The KL expansion is of high efficiency for simulating long-term earthquake excitations in the sense that it needs a minimum number of random variables, as compared with the spectral representation method. This approach firstly uses random decrement technique to gain free decays corresponding to the acceleration response of the structure to some non-zero initial conditions. Then the continuous Morlet wavelet transformation of the free decays is performed; and the Parseval formula and residue theorem are used to simplify the transformation. The maximal wavelet transformation coefficients in different scales are searched out by means of band-filtering characteristic of Morlet wavelet, and then the modal parameters are identified according to the relationships with maximal modulus and angle of the wavelet transform. In addition, the condition of modal uncoupling is discussed according to variation trend of flight flutter modal parameters in the flight flutter state. The analysis results of simulation and flight flutter test data show that this approach is not only simple, effective and feasible, but also having good noise immunity.展开更多

OLPIT is a new method of identification modal parameters from response of structures under ambient excitation. OLPIT is different from NExT (natural excitation technique) based on ITD method in four aspects: ① The algorithm is improved by the singular-value decomposition (SVD). ② Multi-value of b r in the Ibrahim Time Domain (ITD) is avoided. ③ OLPIT is used in both SIMO (single input, multi-output) and MIMO (multi input, multi-output). ④ The precision of modal parameter identificatioin is improved. The simulation studies demonstrate that the method is effective in identifying complex modes even with close frequencies and is robust to measurement noise.展开更多

The question of coincidence of the nonlinear wave profile, spectrum and its distributions of maximum (or minimum) values of the sea surface elevation with results derived from some existing nonlinear theories is expounded under the narrow-band spectrum condition. Taking the shoaling sea wave as an example, the nonlinear random wave process and its spectrum in shallow water are retrieved from both the non-Gaussian characteristics of the sea surface elevation distribution in shallow water and the normal sea waves in deep water and compared with the values actually measured. Results show that they can coincide with the actually measured values quite well, thus, this can confirm that the method proposed in this paper is feasible.展开更多

The nonstationary random mean-square responses of a SDOF system under these two excitations were evaluated and compared with simulated results.

文摘In view of the feature of flight flutter test data with atmospheric turbulence excitation, a method which combines wavelet transformation with random decrement technique for identifying flight flutter modal parameters is presented. The analysis results of simulation and flight flutter test data show that this approach is not only simple, effective and feasible, but also having good noise immunity.

文摘On Line Parameter Identification Technique (OLPIT) was presented according to ambient excitation characteristics and the response cross-correlation function that is a sum of decaying sinusoids of the same form as the impulse response function of the original system. The simulation studies demonstrate that the method is effective in identifying complex modes even with close frequencies and is robust to measurement noise.

文摘A double-clamped piezoelectric energy harvester subjected to random excitation is presented, for which corresponding analytical model is established to predict its output characteristics. With the presented theoretical natural frequency and equivalent stiffness of vibrator, the closed-form expressions of mean power and voltage acquired from the double-clamped piezoelectric energy harvester under random excitation are derived. Finally theoretical analysis is conducted for the output performance of the doubleclamped energy harvester with the change of spectrum density(SD)of acceleration, load resistance, piezoelectric coefficient and natural frequency value, which is found to closely agree with Monte Carlo simulation and experimental results.

文摘In this paper, without recourse to the nonlinear dynamical equations of the waves, the nonlinear random waves are retrieved from the non-Gaussian characteristic of the sea surface elevation distribution. Results show that they can coincide with the actually measured values quite well, thus, this can confirm that the method proposed in this paper is feasible.
