The results show that the average size of voids decreases while the amount of voids decreases after increasing to the maximum value with the increasing bonding time. The irregular void with a scraggly edge tends to an ellipse void with smooth surface and then changes to a tiny void with round shape. The grains across bonding interface occur at bonding time of 60 min. The shear strength of bond increases with increasing bonding time, and the highest shear strength of bond is 887.4 MPa at 60 min. The contribution of plastic deformation on the void closure and the increase of shear strength is significant even though the action time of plastic deformation is short.展开更多

The quantitative results show that the average size of voids increases from 0.8 to 2.6 μm and the bonding ratio decreases from 90.9% to 77.8% with an increase in grain size of primary α phase from 8.2 to 16.4 μm. The shape of voids changes from the tiny round to the irregular strip. The highest shear strength of bond can be obtained in the Ti-6Al-4V alloy with a grain size of 8.2 μm. This is contributed to the higher ability of plastic flow and more short-paths for diffusion in the alloy with smaller grain size of primary α phase, which promote the void closure process and the formation of α/β grains across bonding interface.展开更多

Interface fracture properties were evaluated with established data reduction procedures. The proposed test method is primarily for use in evaluating the effects of freeze-thaw (F-T) and wet-dry (W-D) cycles that are the accelerated aging protocols on the mode-I fracture of carbon FRP-concrete bonded interfaces. The results of the mode-I fracture tests of F-T and W-D cycle-conditioned specimens show that both the critical load and fracture energy decrease as the number of cycles increases, and their degradation pattern has a nearly linear relationship with the number of cycles. However, compared with the effect of the F-T cycles, the critical load and fracture energy degrade at a slower rate with W-D cycles, which suggests that F-T cyclic conditioning causes more deterioration of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP)-concrete bonded interface. After 50 and 100 conditioning cycles, scaling of concrete was observed in all the specimens subjected to F-T cycles, but not in those subjected to W-D cycles. The examination of interface fracture surfaces along the bonded interfaces with varying numbers of F-T and W-D conditioning cycles shows that (1) cohesive failure of CFRP composites is not observed in all fractured surfaces; (2) for the control specimens that have not been exposed to any conditioning cycles, the majority of interface failure is a result of cohesive fracture of concrete (peeling of concrete from the concrete substrate), which means that the cracks mostly propagate within the concrete; and (3) as the number of F-T or W-D conditioning cycles increases, adhesive failure along the interface begins to emerge and gradually increases. It is thus concluded that the fracture properties (i.e., the critical load and fracture energy) of the bonded interface are controlled primarily by the concrete cohesive fracture before conditioning and by the adhesive interface fracture after many cycles of F-T or W-D conditioning. As demonstrated in this study, a test method using 3PBB specimens combined with a fictitious crack model and experimental conditioning protocols for durability can be used as an effective qualification method to test new hybrid material interface bonds and to evaluate durability-related effects on the interfaces.展开更多

The kinds of the reaction products and the interface structures of the joints were investigated by SEM, EPMA and XRD. Based on this, a formation mechanism of the interface structure was elucidated. Experimental and analytical results show that two reaction layers have formed during the diffusion bonding of TAD to TC2. One is Al rich α(Ti)layer adjacent to TC2,and the other is (Ti 3Al+TiAl)layer adjacent to TAD,thus the interface structure of the TAD/TC2 joints is TAD/(Ti 3Al+TiAl)/α(Ti)/TC2.This interface structure forms according to a three stage mechanism, namely(a)the occurrence of a single phase α(Ti)layer;(b)the occurrence of a duplex phase(Ti 3Al+TiAl)layer;and(c)the growth of the α(Ti)and (Ti 3Al+TiAl)layers.展开更多

A series of heat-treatment experiments were conducted in the temperature range from 750℃ to 950℃, and the effects of heat-treatment parameters on the microstructural evolution and diffusion behavior were investigated by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and electron-probe microanalysis. Carbon atoms within the steel matrix were observed to diffuse toward the titanium matrix and to aggregate at the bonding interface at 850℃ or lower; in contrast, when the temperature exceeded 850℃, the mutual diffusion of Ti and Fe occurred, along with the diffusion of C atoms, resulting in the for- marion of Ti-Fe intermetallics (Fe2Ti/FeTi). The diffusion distances of C, Ti, and Fe atoms increased with increasing heating temperature and/or holding time. On the basis of this diffusion behavior, a novel diffusion model was proposed. This model considers the effects of various factors, including the curvature radius of the curved interface, the diffusion coefficient, the heating temperature, and the holding rime. The experimental results show good agreement with the calculated values. The proposed model could clearly provide a general prediction of the elements' diffusion at both straight and curved interfaces.展开更多

The effect of bonding temperature on the microstructural development across the joint region was investigated. Following the diffusion bonding, conventional characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and microhardness were used to examine the interracial microstructure. It was seen that bonding temperature was effective on the diffusion of Ni from Inconel 738 to ferritic stainless steel that affected the microstructure of the interface. Austenite phase was formed at the interface as a result of Ni diffusion from the Inconel 738 to the interface.展开更多

It is found that the welding interfaces are wavy due to the wavy explosive loading. There are three kinds of bonding interfaces i. e. big wave, small wave and micro wave. There are a few seam defects and all elements contents are less than both of the base and .flyer plate in the transition zone of big wavy interface. Moreover, some "holes" result in the lowest bonding strength of big wavy interface nearby the interface in the base plate. All elements contents of the small wavy interface are between two metals, and there are few seam and hole defects, so it is the higher for the bonding strength of small wavy interface. There is no transition zone and defects in the micro wavy interface, so the interface is the best. To gain the high quality small and micro wavy bonding interface the explosive charge should be controlled.展开更多

文摘The interfacial defects and energy barrier are main reasons for interfacial nonradiative recombination. In addition, poor perovskite crystallization and incomplete conversion of PbI_(2) to perovskite restrict further enhancement of the photovoltaic performance of the devices using sequential deposition.Herein,a buried interface stabilization strategy that relies on the synergy of fluorine(F)and sulfonyl(S=O)functional groups is proposed.A series of potassium salts containing halide and non-halogen anions are employed to modify SnO_(2)/perovskite buried interface.Multiple chemical bonds including hydrogen bond, coordination bond and ionic bond are realized, which strengthens interfacial contact and defect passivation effect. The chemical interaction between modification molecules and perovskite along with SnO_(2) heightens incessantly as the number of S=O and F augments. The chemical interaction strength between modifiers and perovskite as well as SnO_(2) gradually increases with the increase in the number of S=O and F.The defect passivation effect is positively correlated with the chemical interaction strength. The crystallization kinetics is regulated through the compromise between chemical interaction strength and wettability of substrates.Compared with Cl−,all non-halogen anions perform better in crystallization optimization, energy band regulation and defect passivation. The device with potassium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide achieves a tempting efficiency of 24.17%.

文摘Cu/Al bar clad material was fabricated by a drawing process and a subsequent heat treatment.During these processes, intermetallic compounds have been formed at the interface of Cu/Al and have affected its bonding property.Microstructures of Cu/Al interfaces were observed by OM,SEM and EDX Analyser in order to investigate the bonding properties of the material.According to the microstructure a series of diffusion layers were observed at the interface and the thicknesses of diffusion layers have increased with aging time as a result of the diffusion bonding. The interfaces were composed of 3-ply diffusion layers and their compositions were changed with aging time at 400 °C.These compositional compounds were revealed to be η2,(θ+η2),(α+θ) intermetallic phases. It is evident from V-notch impact tests that the growth of the brittle diffusion layers with the increasing aging time directly influenced delamination distance between the Cu sleeve and the Al core.It is suggested that the proper holding time at 400 °C for aging as post heat treatment of a drawn Cu/Al bar clad material would be within 1 h.
文摘This article introduces an element diffusion behavior model for a titanium/steel explosive clad plate characterized by a typical curved interface during the heat-treatment process. The proposed model could clearly provide a general prediction of the elements' diffusion at both straight and curved interfaces.
文摘TiAl is diffusion bonded with Ti, TC4 Alloy and 40Cr Steel by heating in vacuum, and analysis of interfaces shows stratified Ti 3Al forms in TiAl/Ti interface closest to TiAl base, and the α phase and the α+β phase arise closest to Ti base at lower temperature and higher temperature respectively; Structure of TiAl/TC4 interface is TiAl/γ+α 2/Ti 3Al/α-Ti/TC4 at lower temperature and TiAl/γ+β+α 2/TC4 at high temperature; in TiAl/40Cr steel interface, obvious decarbonised layer on steel side while TiC and reaction phase with Fe Al Ti system form on TiAl side.
文摘In this study, Inconel 738 alloy was diffusion bonded to a ferritic stainless steel. Austenite phase was formed at the interface as a result of Ni diffusion from the Inconel 738 to the interface.

文摘Cu/Al clad strips are prepared using solid?liquid cast-rolling bonding(SLCRB)technique with a d160mm×150mm twin-roll experimental caster. The extent of interfacial reactions, composition of the reaction products, and their micro-morphology evolution in the SLCRB process are investigated with scanning electron microscope(SEM),energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).In the casting pool, initial aluminized coating is first generated on the copper strip surface, with the diffusion layer mainly consisting ofα(Al)+CuAl2and growing at high temperatures, with the maximum thickness of10μm.After sequent rolling below the kiss point, the diffusion layer is broken by severe elongation, which leads to an additional crack bond process with a fresh interface of virgin base metal. The average thickness is reduced from10to5μm.The reaction products,CuAl2,CuAl,and Cu9Al4,are dispersed along the rolling direction.Peeling and bending test results indicate that the fracture occurs in the aluminum substrate, and the morphology is a dimple pattern. No crack or separation is found at the bonding interface after90°-180°bending.The presented method provides an economical way to fabricate Cu/Al clad strip directly.
文摘Isothermal solidification process of a dissimilar transient liquid phase (TLP) bonding of FSX-414/MBF80/IN738 system was simulated by finite difference method. The TLP joint model was divided into two parts and a moving liquid /solid interface model was used for the parts. Diffusion equations were solved for each half of the joints simultaneously up to the end of isothermal solidification. The completion time of isothermal solidification, concentration profiles and position of the solid/liquid interface for each half were calculated. The intersection of the solid/liquid interfaces of two halves was considered the end of isothermal solidification. To obtain some required diffusion data, TLP bonding of FSX-414/MBF80/IN738 was performed at different temperature and time under vacuum atmosphere. The calculated results show good agreement with the experimental results.

文摘Phase structure characteristics near the interface of Fe3Al/Q235 diffusion bonding are investigated by means of X raydiffraction (XRD), transmission electronic microscope (TEM) and electron diffraction, etc. The test results indicatedthat obviously a diffusion transition zone forms near the interface of Fe3Al/Q235 under the condition of heatingtemperature 1050~1100℃, holding time 60 min and pressure 9.8 MPa, which indicated that the diffusion interfaceof Fe3Al/Q235 was combined well. The diffusion transition zone consisted of Fe3Al and a-Fe(Al) solid solution.Microhardness near the diffusion transition zone was HM 480~540. There was not brittle phase of high hardness inthe interface transition zone. This is favorable to enhance toughness of Fe3Al/Q235 diffusion joint.

文摘In order to improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Mg alloys, the equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE)was employed to fabricate the Mg-5Gd-5Y/Mg-2Zn-1Gd(GW55/ZG21)laminated composites. After fabrication and annealing treatment, the microstructural evolution, phase constitution, microhardness, and bonding strength were investigated on the bonding interface zone of GW55/ZG21 laminated composites. The bonding interface zone of GW55/ZG21 laminated composites comprises a lot of Mg3(Y,Gd)2Zn3 particles along the bonding interface, some rod Mg24(Y,Gd)5 phases on GW55 side, and a precipitation free zone(PFZ)on ZG21 side. After annealing treatment,Mg3(Y,Gd)2Zn3 particles along the bonding interface increase, rod Mg24(Y,Gd)5 phases on GW55 side decrease, and PFZ is broadened.Meanwhile, the hardness on the bonding interface zone decreases and the bonding strength increases from 126 MPa to 162 MPa.
文摘In order to investigate the bonding behavior and mechanism of the interface prepared by explosive welding, the bonding interfaces of 0 Crl 8Ni9/16MnR were observed and analyzed by means of optical microscope (OM) , scanning electron microscope (SEM) and electron probe microanalysis ( EPMA ). To gain the high quality small and micro wavy bonding interface the explosive charge should be controlled.
