Non-Simultaneous Failure of Ice in Front of Multi-Leg Structures

Because the multi-leg jacket structure is the major type of offshore structures in the Bohai Sea, the study of non-simultaneous failure of ice on multi-leg structures is important. However, the non-simultaneous failure has not been considered in engineering design until now, obviously resulting in costly design and notable waste. To resolve this problem, this paper, by means of analysis of experimental data, calculates the coefficient of the non-simultaneous failure for the double-pile structure, the square four-leg structure, the single-line multi-pile structure, and the conical structure, respectively, and provides some reference criteria for engineering design.

Non-simultaneous Blow-up Criteria for Localized Parabolic Equations

This paper deals with blow-up solutions for parabolic equations coupled via localized exponential sources, subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary con- ditions. The criteria are proposed to identify simultaneous and non-simultaneous blow-up solutions. The related classification for the four nonlinear parameters in the model is optimal and complete.

THE SIMULTANEOUS AND NON-SIMULTANEOUS BLOW-UP CRITERIA FOR A DIFFUSION SYSTEM

This paper investigates the finite time blow-up of nonnegative solutions for a nonlinear diffusion system with a more complicated source term, which is a product of localized source, local source, and weight function, and complemented by homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. The criteria are proposed to identify simultaneous and nonsimultaneous blow-up solutions. Moreover, the related classification for the four parameters in the model is optimal and complete. The results extend those in Zhang and Yang [12].

Extinction and Non-simultaneous Blow-up of Solutions in Fast Diffusion Equations

In this paper,we deal with some fast di usion equations ut=um+au vp and vt=△v^n+bu^qv^βsubject to null Dirichlet boundary conditions.We prove that every solution vanishes in nite time for pq>(m-α)(n-β),m>αand n>β,where the exact relation of initial data is determined with the aid of some Sobolev Embedding inequalities.If pd<(m-α)(n-β),m>αand n>β,we show the barriers of the initial data which lead to the non-extinction of solutions.For the case pq=(m-α)(n-β),the solutions vanish for small initial data.The results fill in a gap for the case pq<mn in Nonlinear Anal.Real World Appl.4(2013)1931-1937.The coecients a and b play a vital role in the existence of non-extinction weak solution provided that a and b are large enough.At last,we use the scaling methods to determine some exponent regions where one of the components would blow up alone for some suitable initial data.

Critical Quenching Exponents for Heat Equations Coupled with Nonlinear Boundary Flux

We discuss the quenching phenomena for a system of heat equations coupled with nonlinear boundary flux. We determine a critical value for the exponents in the boundary flux, such that only in the super critical case the simultaneous quenching can happen for any solution.

Usage of global navigation systems for detection of dangerous meteorological phenomena

The method of dangerous meteorological phenomenon detection using the data of coordinate measurement by receivers of global navigation satellite system （GLONASS） and global positioning system （GPS） is proposed. The possibility of thunderstorm courses and strong clouds detection on data of pseudo-distances and altitudes is shown theoretically and confirmed experimentally.

Quantitative analysis of the performance of vector tracking algorithms

Vector tracking changes the classical structure of receivers. Combining signal tracking and navigation solution,vector tracking can realize powerful processing capabilities by the fusion technique of receiving channel and feedback correction. In this paper,we try to break through the complicated details of numerical analysis,consider the overall influencing factors of the residual in observed data,and use the intrinsic link between a conventional receiver and a vector receiver. A simple method for performance analysis of the vector tracking algorithm is proposed. Kalman filter has the same steady performance with the classic digital lock loop through the analysis of the relation between gain and band width. The theoretical analysis by the least squares model shows that the reduction of range error is the basis for the superior performance realized by vector tracking. Thus,the bounds of its performance enhancement under weak signal and highly dynamic conditions can be deduced. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the analysis presented here.

Bridging GPS outages of tightly-coupled GPS/SINS using GMDH neural network

A tightly coupled GPS （ global positioning system ）/SINS （ strap down inertial navigation system） based on a GMDH （ group method of data handling） neural network was presented to solve the problem of degraded accuracy for less than four visible GPS satellites with poor signal quality. Positions and velocities of the satellites were predicted by a GMDH neural network, and the pseudo ranges and pseudo range rates received by the GPS receiver were simulated to ensure the regular op eration of the GPS/SINS Kalman filter during outages. In the mathematical simulation a tightly cou pled navigation system with a proposed approach has better navigation accuracy during GPS outages, and the anti jamming ability is strengthened for the tightly coupled navigation system.

RESEARCH ON THE METHODS OF IMPROVING DGPS POSITIONING PRECISION

A DGPS positioning model is described, and the elements that influence DGPS positioning precision are analyzed in detail. On this basis, the methods of improving DGPS positioning precision are proposed which include increasing updating rate of DGPS correction, building extended DGPS system and improving quality of DGPS correction signal. In the intelligent monitor and control system of the public transport in Beijing, these methods improve the vehicle positioning precision to 2～5m.

Quenching Estimates for Reaction-diffusion Equations with Nonstandard Growth Conditions

This paper deals with reaction-diffusion equations involving nonstandard growth conditions, subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. The complete clas- sification is established for simultaneous and non-simultaneous quenching under suitable assumptions on initial data. Moreover, quenching sets and quenching rates are obtained.

The method and experiment analysis of two-way common-view satellite time transfer for compass system

Time synchronization between ground and satellites is a key technology for satellite navigation system. With dual-channel satellite, a method called Two-Way Common-View(TWCV) satellite time transfer for Compass system is proposed, which combines both characteristics of satellite common-view and two-way satellite-ground time transfer. By satellite-ground two-way pseudo-range differencing and two stations common-view differencing, this TWCV method can completely eliminate the influence of common errors, such as satellite clock offset, ephemeris errors, troposphere delay and station coordinates errors. At the same time, ionosphere delay related to signal frequency is also weakened significantly. So the precision of time transfer is improved much more greatly than before. In this paper, the basic principle is introduced in detail, the effect of major errors is analyzed and the practical calculation model in the Earth-fixed coordinate system for this new method is provided. Finally, experiment analysis is conducted with actual Compass observing data. The results show that the deviation and the stability of the satellite dual channel can be better than 0.1 ns, and the accuracy of the two-way common-view satellite time transfer can achieve 0.4 ns. All these results have verified the correctness of this TWCV method and model. In addition, we compare this TWCV satellite time transfer with the independent C-band TWSTFT(Two-Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer). It shows that the result of the TWCV satellite time transfer is in accordance with the C-band TWSTFT result, which further suggests that the TWCV method is a remote high precision time transfer technique. The research results in this paper are very important references for the development and application of Compass satellite navigation system.

Quenching rates for heat equations with coupled singular nonlinear boundary flux

We study finite time quenching for heat equations coupled via singular nonlinear boundary flux. A criterion is proposed to identify the simultaneous and non-simultaneous quenchings. In particular, three kinds of simultaneous quenching rates are obtained for different nonlinear exponent regions and appropriate initial data. This extends an original work by Pablo, Quirós and Rossi for a heat system with coupled inner absorption terms subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions.
