Ensuring the stability of the backfill bodies is the primary prerequisite for maintaining the safety of the backfilling working face, and the loading characteristics of backfill are closely related to the deformation and subsidence of the roof. Elastic thin plate model was used to explore the non-uniform subsidence law of the roof, and then the non-uniform distribution characteristics of backfill bodies’ load were revealed. Through a self-developed non-uniform loading device combined with acoustic emission (AE) and digital image correlation (DIC) monitoring technology, the synergistic dynamic evolution law of the bearing capacity, apparent crack, and internal fracture of cemented coal gangue backfills (CCGBs) under loads with different degrees of non-uniformity was deeply explored. The results showed that: 1) The uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) of CCGB increased and then decreased with an increase in the degree of non-uniformity of load (DNL). About 40% of DNL was the inflection point of DNL-UCS curve and when DNL exceeded 40%, the strength decreased in a cliff-like manner;2) A positive correlation was observed between the AE ringing count and UCS during the loading process of the specimen, which was manifested by a higher AE ringing count of the high-strength specimen. 3) Shear cracks gradually increased and failure mode of specimens gradually changed from “X” type dominated by tension cracks to inverted “Y” type dominated by shear cracks with an increase in DNL, and the crack opening displacement at the peak stress decreased and then increased. The crack opening displacement at 40% of the DNL was the smallest. This was consistent with the judgment of crack size based on the AE b-value, i. e., it showed the typical characteristics of “small b-value-large crack and large b-value-small crack”. The research results are of significance for preventing the instability and failure of backfill.展开更多

In a special case, with the proposed method an exact solution with a concise form can be obtained, which imply four types of profiles with variation in geometry or material properties. However, the WKB (Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin) method leads to a series solution, which is a Taylor expansion of the results of the proposed method. For the arbitrary non-uniform rods, the comparison indicates that the WKB method is simpler, but the convergent speed of the series solution resulting from the pro-posed method is faster than that of the WKB method, which is also validated numerically using an exact solution of a kind of non-uniform rods with Kummer functions.展开更多

The series obtained are convergent and linearly independent. Its convergence is verified by convergence tests, its linear independence confirmed by the nonzero value of the corresponding Wronski determinant. Then, the solution obtained is an exact one reducible to a classical solution for the case of uniform rods. In order to verify the method, two examples are presented as an application of the proposed method. The results obtained are equivalent to the method in literature. The balance equation between water vapor and airborne liquid water is derived. From the balance equation, a new formula of precipitate rate is got. The analysis shows that in the air stream with some upward vertical velocity ( ), the condensed liquid water can precipitate under the condition with (q is specific humidity) and? only, otherwise it is detained in the air and becomes airborne liquid water. Not only does precipitating liquid water contain condensed liquid water, but also contains converged and existing airborne liquid water. Following above discussion, improved dynamic equations on non-uniform saturated moist atmosphere are provided.展开更多

文摘As an important lightning protection device in substations, lightning rods are susceptible to vibration and potential structural damage under wind loads. In order to understand their vibration mechanism,it is necessary to conduct flow analysis. In this study, numerical simulations of the flow field around a 330 kV cylindrical lightning rod with different diameters were performed using the SST k-ωmodel.The flow patterns in different segments of the lightning rod at the same reference wind speed(wind speed at a height of 10 m)and the flow patterns in the same segment at different reference wind speeds were investigated. The variations of lift coefficient, drag coefficient, and vorticity distribution were obtained. The results showed that vortex shedding phenomena occurred in all segments of the lightning rod,and the strength of vortex shedding increased with decreasing diameter. The vorticity magnitude and the root mean square magnitudes of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient also increased accordingly. The time history curves of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient on the surface of the lightning rod exhibited sinusoidal patterns with a single dominant frequency. For the same segment,as the wind speed increased in a certain range, the root mean square values of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient decreased, while their dominant frequencies increased. Moreover, there was a proportional relationship between the dominant frequencies of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient. The findings of this study can provide valuable insights for the refined design of lightning rods with similar structures.

文摘Free longitudinal vibrations of non-uniform rods are investigated by a proposed method, which results in a series solution. For the arbitrary non-uniform rods, the comparison indicates that the WKB method is simpler, but the convergent speed of the series solution resulting from the pro-posed method is faster than that of the WKB method, which is also validated numerically using an exact solution of a kind of non-uniform rods with Kummer functions.

文摘Free and steady-state forced longitudinal vibrations of non-uniform rods are investi- gated by an iteration method, which results in a series solution. In contrast to the proposed method ca- pable of dealing with arbitrary non-uniform rods in principle, the method in literature is confined to work on special cases.
文摘We study the effect of electrodes with varying thickness on thickness-twist vibration of a piezoelectric plate resonator of crystals of 6 mm symmetry. An exact theoretical analysis is performed. Results show that non-uniform electrodes have a strong effect on mode shapes, and suggest the possibility of using nonuniform electrodes for strong energy trapping.
文摘To eliminate the irrational supposition that condensed liquid water always falls immediately, specific water m?and maximum airborne specific water mm are introduced into the dynamic framework on non-uniform saturated moist atmosphere (m?is the ratio of the airborne liquid water mass to the moist air mass in unit cubage moist air, mm is its maximum value with , , and are airborne coefficient, vertical velocity and saturated specific humidity respectively). Following above discussion, improved dynamic equations on non-uniform saturated moist atmosphere are provided.

文摘Streamer discharge is the inaugural stage of gas discharge, and the average electron energy directly determines the electron collision reaction rate, which is a key parameter for studying streamer discharge. Therefore, taking into account the average electron energy, this work establishes a fluid chemical reaction model to simulate and study the course of evolution of a streamer discharge in a 5 mm rod–plate gap, considering 12 particles and 27 chemical reactions. It introduces the electron energy drift diffusion equation into the control equation, and analyzes the temporal and spatial changes of average electron energy, electric field intensity and electron density with change in rod radius and voltage. The effects of voltage and rod radius on the course of streamer discharge can be reflected more comprehensively by combining the average electron energies.Three different values of 0.3 mm,0.4 mm and 0.5 mm are set for the rod radius, and three different values of 5 k V,6 k V and 7 k V are set for the voltage. The influence of an excitation reaction on the streamer discharge is studied. The findings indicate that,as voltage raises, the streamer head’s electron density, electric field and average electron energy all rise, and the streamer develops more quickly. When the rod radius increases, the electron density, electric field and average electron energy of the streamer head all decrease, and the streamer’s evolution slows down. When an excitation reaction is added to the model, the average electron energy, the magnitude of the electric field and the density of electrons decrease, and the evolution of the streamer slows down.An increase in average electron energy will lead to an increase in electric field strength and electron density, and the development of the streamer will be faster.

文摘Continuum robots actuated by flexible rods have large potential applications, such as detection and operation tasks in confined environments, since the push and pull actuation of flexible rods withstand tension and compressive force, and increase the structure's rigidity. In this paper,a generalized kinetostatics model for multi-module and multi-segment continuum robots considering the effect of friction based on the Cosserat rod theory is established. Then, the model is applied to a two-module rod-driven continuum robot with winding ropes to analyze its deformation and load characteristics.Four different in-plane configurations under the external load term as S1,S2,C1,and C2 are defined.Taking a bending plane as an example, the tip deformation along thex-axis of these shapes is simulated and compared, which shows that the load capacity of C1 and C2 is generally larger than that of S1 and S2.Furthermore,the deformation experiments and simulations show that the maximum error ratio without external loads relative to the total length is no more than 3%,and it is no more than 4.7%under the external load. The established kinetostatics model is proven sufficient to accurately analyze the rod-driven continuum robot with the consideration of internal friction.

文摘The anisotropic absorption and emission from semiconductor CdSe/CdS quantum rods(QRs)provide extra benefits among other photoluminescence nanocrystals.Using photo-induced alignment technique, the QRs can be oriented in liquid crystal polymer matrix at a large scale. In this article,a 2D Dammann grating pattern, within“SKL”characters domains aligned QRs in composite film, was fabricated by multi-step photo exposure using several photo masks, and a continuous geometric lens profile pattern aligned QRs was realized by the single step polarization converting holographic irradiation method. Both polarized optical microscope and fluorescence microscope are employed to determine the liquid crystal director profiles and QRs anisotropic excitation properties. We have been able to orient the QRs in fine binary and continuous patterns that confirms the strong quantum rod aligning ability of the proposed method. Thus, the proposed approach paves a way for photoinduced flexible QRs alignments to provide a highly specific and difficult-to-replicate security application at a large scale.

文摘Considering their superior theoretical capacity and low voltage plateau,bismuth(Bi)-based materials are being widely explored for application in potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).Unfortunately, pure Bi and Bibased compounds suffer from severe electrochemical polarization, agglomeration, and dramatic volume fluctuations. To develop an advanced bismuth-based anode material with high reactivity and durability,in this work, the pyrolysis of Bi-based metal-organic frameworks and in-situ selenization techniques have been successfully used to produce a Bi-based composite with high capacity and unique structure,in which Bi/Bi_(3)Se_(4)nanoparticles are encapsulated in carbon nanorods(Bi/Bi_(3)Se_(4)@CNR).Applied as the anode material of PIBs,the Bi/Bi_(3)Se_(4)@CNR displays fast potassium storage capability with 307.5 m A h g^(-1)at 20 A g^(-1)and durable cycle performance of 2000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1).Notably,the Bi/Bi_(3)Se_(4)@CNR also showed long cycle stability over 1600 cycles when working in a full cell system with potassium vanadate as the cathode material, which further demonstrates its promising potential in the field of PIBs.Additionally, the dual potassium storage mechanism of the Bi/Bi_(3)Se_(4)@CNR based on conversion and alloying reaction has also been revealed by in-situ X-ray diffraction.
文摘This study presents the effect of non-uniform heat source on the magneto-hydrodynamic flow of nanofluid across an expanding plate with consideration of the homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions and thermal radiation effects.A nanofluid’s dynamic viscosity and effective thermal conductivity are specified with Corcione correlation.According to this correlation, the thermal conductivity is carried out by the Brownian motion.Similarity transformations reduce the governing equations concerned with energy, momentum, and concentration of nanofluid and then numerically solved. The influences of the effective parameters,e.g.,the internal heat source parameters, the volume fraction of nanofluid, the radiation parameter, the homogeneous reaction parameter, the magnetic parameter, the heterogeneous parameter and the Schmidt number are studied on the heat and flow transfer features.Further, regarding the effective parameters of the present work, the correlation for the Nusselt number has been developed. The outcomes illustrate that with the raising of the heterogeneous parameter and the homogeneous reaction parameter, the concentration profile diminishes. In addition, the outcomes point to a reverse relationship between the Nusselt number and the internal heat source parameters.
