This study constructs a theoretical model based on the stimuli-organism-response (SOR) theory, the DeLone and McLean model of information system (IS) success (D&M) model, and flow theory, and conducts an empirical study using a structural equation model and regression analysis based on questionnaire survey data in China to uncover whether and how metaverse application exerts its impact. Results show that metaverse application can enhance Gen-Zers’ participation intention in the communication of intangible cultural heritage, and their mechanism follows a chain path of “stimulus-state-response” under the joint action of “technology-individual-environment” in which metaverse application is the key stimulus factor, flow experience is the mediator, and self-efficacy and subjective norm are moderators. The findings can offer new insights for research on metaverse application from the perspectives of consequences and effects and can also provide practical implications for metaverse application as well as the development and communication of intangible cultural heritage.展开更多

In order to determine the site’s most significant risks, a climate data analysis was conducted, taking into account three different climate emission scenarios (Representative Concentration Pathways) and two future periods (2031-2060, 2071-2100). The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) vulnerability assessment methodology was adopted to assess the vulnerability of the archaeological site to the effects of climate change. This is the first time such a methodology has been followed in Greece. The analysis revealed that the site’s critical hazards are fire, desertification, and flooding. The geographical location of the site in an intensely dry microclimate and the lack of safe and functional electromechanical and road infrastructure increase its vulnerability. The materials of the monuments are indirectly and directly impacted by climate change, whereas the vegetation is negatively impacted by the frequency of extreme events, especially wildfires. Based on the analysis results, a five-axis adaptation strategy was developed.展开更多

文摘Fine-grained image classification is a challenging research topic because of the high degree of similarity among categories and the high degree of dissimilarity for a specific category caused by different poses and scales.A cul-tural heritage image is one of thefine-grained images because each image has the same similarity in most cases.Using the classification technique, distinguishing cultural heritage architecture may be difficult. This study proposes a cultural heri-tage content retrieval method using adaptive deep learning forfine-grained image retrieval. The key contribution of this research was the creation of a retrieval mod-el that could handle incremental streams of new categories while maintaining its past performance in old categories and not losing the old categorization of a cul-tural heritage image. The goal of the proposed method is to perform a retrieval task for classes.Incremental learning for new classes was conducted to reduce the re-training process. In this step, the original class is not necessary for re-train-ing which we call an adaptive deep learning technique.Cultural heritage in the case of Thai archaeological site architecture was retrieved through machine learn-ing and image processing. We analyze the experimental results of incremental learning forfine-grained images with images of Thai archaeological site architec-ture from world heritage provinces in Thailand, which have a similar architecture.Using afine-grained image retrieval technique for this group of cultural heritage images in a database can solve the problem of a high degree of similarity among categories and a high degree of dissimilarity for a specific category. The proposed method for retrieving the correct image from a database can deliver an average accuracy of 85 percent.Adaptive deep learning forfine-grained image retrieval was used to retrieve cultural heritage content, and it outperformed state-of-the-art methods infine-grained image retrieval.
文摘In order to improve the consistency between the recommended retrieval results and user needs, improve the recommendation efficiency, and reduce the average absolute deviation of resource retrieval,a design method of intelligent recommendation retrieval model for Fujian intangible cultural heritage digital archive resources based on knowledge atlas is proposed. The TG-LDA(Tag-granularity LDA)model is proposed on the basis of the standard LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis)model. The model is used to mine archive resource topics. The Pearson correlation coefficient is used to measure the relevance between topics.Based on the measurement results, the FastText deep learning model is used to achieve archive resource classification.According to the classification results,TF-IDF(term frequency–inverse document frequency)algorithm is used to calculate the weight of resource retrieval keywords to achieve resource retrieval, and a recommendation model of intangible cultural heritage digital archives resources is built through the knowledge map to achieve comprehensive and personalized recommendation of resources. The experimental results show that the recommendation and retrieval results of the proposed method are more in line with users’needs, can provide users with personalized digital archive resources, and the average absolute deviation of resource retrieval is low,the recommendation efficiency is high, and the utilization effect of archive resources is effectively improved.
文摘Three-dimensional(3D) scanning technology has undergone remarkable developments in recent years.Data acquired by 3D scanning have the form of 3D point clouds. The 3D scanned point clouds have data sizes that can be considered big data. They also contain measurement noise inherent in measurement data. These properties of 3D scanned point clouds make many traditional CG/visualization techniques difficult. This paper reviewed our recent achievements in developing varieties of high-quality visualizations suitable for the visual analysis of 3D scanned point clouds. We demonstrated the effectiveness of the method by applying the visualizations to various cultural heritage objects. The main visualization targets used in this paper are the floats in the Gion Festival in Kyoto(the float parade is on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List) and Borobudur Temple in Indonesia(a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
文摘This article examines the effects of climate change on archaeological sites, using as a case study the archaeological site of Ancient Messene in Greece, and proposes an integrated adaptation strategy. Based on the analysis results, a five-axis adaptation strategy was developed.
文摘The frequent occurrence of seismic events in Italy poses a strategic problem that involves either the culture of preservation of historical heritage or the civil protection action aimed to reduce the risk to people and goods(buildings,bridges,dams,slopes,etc.).Most of the Italian architectural heritage is vulnerable to earthquakes, identifying the vulnerability as the inherent predisposition of the masonry building to suffer damage and collapse during an earthquake. In fact, the structural concept prevailing in these ancient masonry buildings is aimed at ensuring prevalent resistance to vertical gravity loads.Rarely do these ancient masonry structures offer relevant resistance to actions other than vertical ones and then they are intrinsically vulnerable to stresses induced by the earthquakes. One of the main technical activities carried out by the Civil Protection after an earthquake is to assess the damage in the buildings and to evaluate their own usability.Regarding historical buildings,ad-hoc synthetic forms, drafted in agreement between the Italian Civil Protection Department and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and based on visual inspection, are adopted by qualified technicians. In this paper, such activities are described and discussed along with the Italian Civil Protection System. However, given the complexity of the main technical activities to be performed after an earthquake there is a need for more accurate methods based on Structural Health Monitoring.
