Effect of an inpatient nursing risk early warning and control system in Shanghai:A retrospective study of adverse events

Purpose:To avoid the nursing risk of inpatients,reduce the occurrence of nursing errors and improve the safety of inpatients.Methods:We established a nursing risk early warning and control system,which includes a safety supervisory network,risk screening and early warning tools,and a risk control process.Results:The qualified rates of risk control measures to prevent pressure ulcers,unplanned extubation and fall/fall from bed all increased.The incidence of reported nursing errors decreased.The number of mistakes in medication-giving decreased.Conclusion:The establishment of an inpatient early warning and control system could effectively avoid nursing risk,improve risk prevention abilities,improve patient safety,and improve nursing quality.

Observations on the Application of Nursing Risk Management in the Care of Critically Ill Patients in the Respiratory Unit

Objechive:Investigate the effectiveness of mursing risk management in the care of cntically ill patients in the respiratory umit.Methods:Among the cntically ill respiratory patients admitted to our hospital between May 2019 and April 2020,78 patients were randomly selected and divided into an observation group and a control group,each consisting of 39 patients.In the observation group.a mursing nisk management model was implemented,i.e,patients'clinical symptoms were observed at any time to monitor their treatment satisfaction and the effectiveness of their care and routine care was implemented for the control group.Results:The heart rate,respiratory rate,and pH of patients in the observation group were more stable than those in the control group,and their respiratory status was better,with differences in data.There was also sigmifcant statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of patient-provider disputes,unplanned extubation,and uplammed events were lower in the observation group conpared to the control group,and their data difference was satistically siguificant(P-0.05).The treatment satisfaction as well as the total effective rate of patients in the observation group was also much higher than that of the contol group,and there was also a statistically sigmificant difference in the data(P<0.05).Conclusion:The musing nisk management model has a significant therapeutic effect in the care of cnitically ill respiratory patients.Therefore,it is worth popularizing to use in the clinical mursing of respiratory cnitical patients.

The Effects of Nursing Risk Intervention on Drainage Safety after Prostatic Hyperplasia Surgery

Objective:To explore the effect of nursing risk intervention on drainage safety after prostatic hyperplasia surgery.Methods:80 patients who underwent prostatic hyperplasia surgery in our hospital(People’s Hospital of Jiangsu Province)from August 2020 to August 2021 were randomly divided into group A and group B.Patients in group A were treated with routine postoperative drainage nursing intervention,and patients in group B were given nursing risk intervention based on group A,and the intervention results of the two groups were compared.Results:Comparison of patient satisfaction:the patient satisfaction in group B(97.50%)was higher than that in group A(25.00%).Comparison of drainage tube accidents:the accident rate of group B was lower than that of group A;Comparison of patients’psychological anxiety:the psychological anxiety of patients in group B after nursing intervention was lower than that in group A.Comparison of patients’quality of life:the quality of life of patients in group B after nursing intervention was higher than that in group A.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Clinical nursing risk intervention after prostatic hyperplasia surgery can greatly improve the safety of drainage,reduce patients’psychological anxiety and improve patients’quality of life after treatment.It has the value of clinical application and promotion.
