Diversified Teaching Methods in Nursing:Using Animal Experimentation to Promote Core Professional Competencies in Basic Nursing Training 被引量:1

Objective: The aim of this project was to train highly professional and specialized nursing students from medical colleges to adapt to bedside clinical care by exploring and discussing various methods of injection and IV infusion in animal experimentation to hone the core professional nursing competencies. Methods: Two classes from the 2012 senior graduating nursing class were randomly selected by a computer to conduct the diversified practical teaching methods based on animal experimentation. A hospital environment was simulated by requiring students to perform different types of injections and practical IV infusion techniques. A comprehensive evaluation of the core professional competencies, as well as other integrated competencies, was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the teaching methods. Results: Two-sampled, pairwise u-tests were performed between the scores of the experimental (nursing class 2) and control (nursing class 1) groups. These findings showed that the overall test scores were significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group and that the average P-values for the competencies in various categories were 〈0.01, which indicated statistically significant results. Conclusions: Based on the data from this project, diversified teaching methods for basic nursing training founded on animal experimentation can help nursing students perfect their core professional competencies and improve their overall professional standing. The introduction of animal experimentation requires further verification, and an increased acknowledgement of its benefits through the widespread dissemination of this information. 展开更多

The Effectiveness of a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Computer Game as a Learning Tool for Nursing Students

Simulation games that are close to actual clinical situations can assist students in the learning process and, through the active presentation of subject material, help them acquire necessary knowledge. The aims of this study were to develop a computer game focused on caring for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the outpatient clinic and to evaluate the nursing students’ change in knowledge and their satisfaction score after they played this computer game. This study had a randomized pre-/post-control experimental design. How to assess and care for patients with dyspnea episodes, the use of inhalants, the effects of weather changes, and breathing exercises for patients with COPD were the key content elements of the computer game developed by the study team. The COPD care knowledge test and satisfaction questionnaire were the evaluation instruments. Sixty-eight junior nursing students participated in this study. Of these 68 participants, 35 were randomly assigned to the control group and 33 were randomly assigned to the experimental group. Each group finished the pretest, then played the game for 20 minutes, and then did the post-test questionnaire. The results of this study determined that the COPD care knowledge score was significantly improved after playing the game in the experimental group (t = 2.24, P < 0.05). The experimental group responded that the computer game could help them clearly understand ways to take care of patients with COPD in the outpatient clinic. Important suggestions were to add reflection session after playing the computer game and to modify the fluency of the operation procedures. The experience and results of this study could apply not only to the teaching strategy for nursing students, but also for further developing a game for patient education. 展开更多

目的 探究以成果导向教育(outcomes-based education,OBE)为基础的多元教学模式在实验诊断学教学中的应用效果。方法 2022年2—8月,选取河北大学2019级临床专业3班、4班学生作为研究对象,共计159名学生,将3班79名学生作为对照组,4班80... 目的 探究以成果导向教育(outcomes-based education,OBE)为基础的多元教学模式在实验诊断学教学中的应用效果。方法 2022年2—8月,选取河北大学2019级临床专业3班、4班学生作为研究对象,共计159名学生,将3班79名学生作为对照组,4班80名为试验组。对照组学生应用传统教学模式教学,试验组学生应用以OBE为导向的多元教学模式教学,比较两组学生的总成绩、笔试成绩、课堂提问+出勤成绩,并从多维度对教学满意度进行调查,对比分析两组学生的学习效果。结果 试验组总成绩、笔试成绩高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P <0.05);两组课堂提问+出勤成绩比较,差异无统计学意义(P> 0.05)。试验组学生对教学的课程设计、教学方法、教学内容、学习兴趣、学习效率、检验报告解读能力、临床思维培养能力的满意度均高于照组,差异有统计学意义(P <0.05)。结论OBE导向的多元教学模式在实验诊断学教改中的应用提高了学生的学习能力、学习兴趣、团结合作和沟通能力,有助于培养适应医学发展所需要的具有创新能力的实用型医学人才。 展开更多

目的研究以问题为基础的教学法(problem-based learning,PBL)联合案例教学法(case-based learning,CBL)在住院医师规范化培训(简称住培)医师实验诊断学以系统-器官疾病为中心的教学改革中的应用效果。方法选取2017年6月—2020年6月哈尔... 目的研究以问题为基础的教学法(problem-based learning,PBL)联合案例教学法(case-based learning,CBL)在住院医师规范化培训(简称住培)医师实验诊断学以系统-器官疾病为中心的教学改革中的应用效果。方法选取2017年6月—2020年6月哈尔滨医科大学附属第四医院检验科内设置的医学检验专业住培基地的住培医师60名为研究对象,随机选取2017~2018年度住培医师30名纳入对照组,采用普通五年制教材传统教学法。将2019~2020年度住培医师30名纳入观察组,采用PBL联合CBL教学法。比较2组住培医师考试成绩、学习效果及教学满意度。结果观察组的优良率为100%,高于对照组的80.00%,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组住培医师学习主动性、思辨力、团队协作、有效沟通4个维度的得分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组住培医师的总满意度为100%,高于对照组的73.33%,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论PBL联合CBL教学法在住培医师实验诊断学以系统-器官疾病为中心的教学改革中的应用效果较好,提高了住培医师成绩,锻炼了住培医师解决临床问题的综合能力。 展开更多

目的对护理学院本科生的中医学针灸教学内容进行改革,检验教学改革成效,为优化课程设置提供建设性资料。方法根据既往问卷调查结果修改“中医学(TCM)”针灸课程教学内容,包括减少枯燥理论知识,增加常用针灸技术及临床案例分析。组织202... 目的对护理学院本科生的中医学针灸教学内容进行改革,检验教学改革成效,为优化课程设置提供建设性资料。方法根据既往问卷调查结果修改“中医学(TCM)”针灸课程教学内容,包括减少枯燥理论知识,增加常用针灸技术及临床案例分析。组织2023年北京协和医学院护理学院所有参加中医学授课的本科生填写“针灸课程内容问卷调查表”,内容主要包括课程前学生对针灸的基本认知情况、课程中学生的学习反馈、课程后学生的学习成效及学生对进一步优化针灸课程的改进建议4个方面。结果149名学生参与问卷调查。73.15%的学生对针灸课程感兴趣。62.42%的学生认为最难理解的课程内容是“腧穴各论”部分,71.81%的同学认为最制约学习成效的因素是难以记住经络和穴位。学生最感兴趣的是“针灸治疗概述及常见病的针灸治疗”,占44.3%。通过学习,88.59%的学生愿意向具有适应症的患者推荐针灸治疗。在针灸课程的改进建议方面,学生希望增加课堂实践或操作视频。结论改革后的针灸教学课程内容,突出了课程内容的实用性,提高了学生的学习兴趣和主观能动性,但实践性仍需加强。 展开更多
