A systematically analysis of nutritional composition of Schisandra chinensis and appreciation on its value of utilization were made for exploring a new way of utilization. The results showed that the fruit of Schisandra contains rich in kinds of vitamins, amino acids, organic acids and microelements that fit with human body. Its kemal contains the fatty ac-ids with high value of utilization. Linoleic acid accounts for 50.7% of the amount of fatty acids in in kemel. The contents ofthe trace elemat Fe, Zn are also higher. Ve's content of Schisandra is 8 times of the orange. 展开更多

Rational nutritional support shall be based on nutritional screening and nutritional assessment. This study is aimed to explore nutritional risk screening and its influencing factors of hospitalized patients in central urban area. It is helpful for the early detection of problems in nutritional supports, nutrition management and the implementation of intervention measures, which will contribute a lot to improving the patient's poor clinical outcome. A total of three tertiary medical institutions were enrolled in this study. From October 2015 to June 2016, 1202 hospitalized patients aged ≥18 years were enrolled in Nutrition Risk Screening 2002(NRS2002) for nutritional risk screening, including 8 cases who refused to participate, 5 cases of same-day surgery and 5 cases of coma. A single-factor chi-square test was performed on 312 patients with nutritional risk and 872 hospitalized patients without nutritional risk. Logistic regression analysis was performed with univariate analysis(P〈0.05), to investigate the incidence of nutritional risk and influencing factors. The incidence of nutritional risk was 26.35% in the inpatients, 25.90% in male and 26.84% in female, respectively. The single-factor analysis showed that the age ≥60, sleeping disorder, fasting, intraoperative bleeding, the surgery in recent month, digestive diseases, metabolic diseases and endocrine system diseases had significant effects on nutritional risk(P〈0.05). Having considered the above-mentioned factors as independent variables and nutritional risk(Y=1, N=0) as dependent variable, logistic regression analysis revealed that the age ≥60, fasting, sleeping disorders, the surgery in recent month and digestive diseases are hazardous factors for nutritional risk. Nutritional risk exists in hospitalized patients in central urban areas. Nutritional risk screening should be conducted for inpatients. Nutritional intervention programs should be formulated in consideration of those influencing factors, which enable to reduce the nutritional risk and to promote the rehabilitation of inpatients. 展开更多

Two-year-old Medicago sativa at budding initial stage was taken as research materials.Five methods were used to make green hay, including flatting stems + spraying 2.5% K2CO3,flatting stems, sun curing, drying in shade and drying under 105 ℃ condition(CK).Besides, effects of different green hay making methods on dry characteristics and nutritional quality of M.sativa green hay were studied, and a comprehensive evaluation of M.sativa green hays was conducted. Results showed that, except CK,the drying rates in other making methods were all fast at first, and then slow down. Both of drying under 105 ℃ condition and flatting stems + spraying K2CO3 could speed up drying rate and reduce nutritional losses of green hay.Sun curing could also speed up drying rate, but it could not maintain the quality of green hay.The results of Grey Relational Analysis on five green hay making methods indicated that CK had the best comprehensive performance, followed by green hays made by flatting stems + spraying K2CO3.Therefore,flatting stems + spraying K2CO3 was a quick and easy method to make green hay,and it was worth to be recommended in practical production. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to understand the effects of microbial inocula on the biological yield and nutritional components of corn.[Methods]Silage corn varieties suitable for planting in Hebei Province were selected, and set with an experimental group and a control check group each.Meanwhile,at the late stage of milk ripening of silage corn growth cycle, the nutritional components and indexes of silage corn were determined and analyzed by a near-infrared analyzer and the NIRS technique.Meanwhile, the biological yield of silage corn was determined at the maturation stage of its growth period, aiming at comprehensively evaluating the regulation effects of the microbial inoculum tested on silage corn from the aspects of basic nutritional components, mineral element contents, energy and related indexes of corn, combined with agronomic characters and biological yield.[Results]The microbial inoculum improved the biological yield and nutritional indexes of silage corn, and had a positive regulation effect on the growth of silage corn.[Conclusions]The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for popularizing the planting methods and cultivation methods of silage corn with high yield and high quality. 展开更多

Thirty-seven wild plants as food for Asian elephants in the field in Simao,Yunnan province,China and five cultivated plants as food for captive elephants in the Beijing Zoo were collected and analyzed for their main nutrient components.Protein, fat, fiber, dry material, ash as well as major microelements:calcium, kalium, zincum, sodium in the food were analyzed by standard methodology. No significant differences were found between the wild plants taken in the field and forage provided in captivity. However, the calcium content in the forage is significantly less than the average of those in the wild plants. It is suggested that the increase in calcium intake may contribute to the relief of low plasma calcium diseases of elephants in captivity. 展开更多
