Fault Estimation for a Class of Markov Jump Piecewise-Affine Systems: Current Feedback Based Iterative Learning Approach

In this paper, the issues of stochastic stability analysis and fault estimation are investigated for a class of continuoustime Markov jump piecewise-affine(PWA) systems against actuator and sensor faults. Firstly, a novel mode-dependent PWA iterative learning observer with current feedback is designed to estimate the system states and faults, simultaneously, which contains both the previous iteration information and the current feedback mechanism. The auxiliary feedback channel optimizes the response speed of the observer, therefore the estimation error would converge to zero rapidly. Then, sufficient conditions for stochastic stability with guaranteed performance are demonstrated for the estimation error system, and the equivalence relations between the system information and the estimated information can be established via iterative accumulating representation.Finally, two illustrative examples containing a class of tunnel diode circuit systems are presented to fully demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed iterative learning observer with current feedback.

Pricing and observational learning in crowdfunding:The moderate effect of target

This paper studies pricing and observational learning in a reward-based crowdfunding campaign context.The creator sets a funding target and uses different pricing strategies in order to make the project successful:menu price and other static or dynamic price strategies,such as low price,high price,and intertemporal price.In a sequential game,the creator needs to choose the optimal pricing strategy with or without information disclosure.With information disclosure,the follower can infer the quality of the product by observing the former’s decision.We found that this observational learning effect is a double-edged sword and is positively moderated by the target when different pricing strategies are adopted:on one hand,it will benefit the creator from an intertemporal pricing strategy or high price strategy if the target is very high;on the other hand,it has an adverse effect on the profit if menu price(high price)is adopted when the target is relatively(very)low.In some conditions,menu price(high price)without information disclosure will be optimal when the target is relatively(very)low.

Efficiency of Managers as Role Models:A Social Learning Theory Perspective

This systematic literature review aimed to analyze and synthesize studies that indicated the importance of behavioral observation in the organizational context.Based on Social Learning Theory and by considering relevant recent findings and theories,the impact of managers as role models for employees is researched and analyzed.The importance of this topic is to determine ways that learning and enhancing performance in the workplace can be applied for people management development.The literature for theory was numerous,however studies on the particular topic were limited and not expanded in the organizational context.The key message of this review is that the impact of managers and leaders can be positive and progressive both for the employees and for the organization.
