However, this approach is susceptible to human subjective biases. The method assists managers in formulating efficient strategies for implementing management measures and enhancing the effectiveness of production, sales, financial, and people organization structure management. This ultimately leads to a more evidence-based approach to corporate management. This technique expands the utilization of Web services from a strategy focused on integrating services to a comprehensive framework for Service-Oriented Computing (SOC). The primary focus is implementing WS-session to manage sessions in general Web services applications, defining a bidirectional entire duplex interface for communication in Web services, and developing the Web Services Initiation Protocol, presenting WIP, a thorough multimedia and voice communication framework constructed using Web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). The office automation management system, created utilizing ASP.net and SQL Server technology, encompasses the evaluation of viability, analysis of needs, and system design. Office automation refers to using equipment with computing capabilities to carry out various office tasks and utilize associated tools and applications. Office automation uses computer-based systems to collect, organize, and modify visual and auditory information to enhance business energy efficiency and time management. Office automation refers to auto-mating essential tasks employees perform, including identification, automatic appointment reminders, and automatic power management for personal computers. The employee image is obtained through the utilization of the Java media framework. Attendance data for all employees are collected and methodically examined. The database enables the retrieval of these records monthly or weekly. An office automation system offers organizations enhanced features for managing office information, significantly improving office efficiency and quality. Moreover, it improves office administration and decision-making procedures by automating and strengthening the scientific elements of office functions. The ongoing progress of organizational information technology has led to a strong focus on sharing information resources in scientific research initiatives. New technologies that take advantage of the emergence of massive Internet of Things(IoT)and a hyper-connected network environment have rapidly increased in recent years.These technologies are used in diverse environme...New technologies that take advantage of the emergence of massive Internet of Things(IoT)and a hyper-connected network environment have rapidly increased in recent years.These technologies are used in diverse environments,such as smart factories,digital healthcare,and smart grids,with increased security concerns.We intend to operate Security Orchestration,Automation and Response(SOAR)in various environments through new concept definitions as the need to detect and respond automatically to rapidly increasing security incidents without the intervention of security personnel has emerged.To facilitate the understanding of the security concern involved in this newly emerging area,we offer the definition of Internet of Blended Environment(IoBE)where various convergence environments are interconnected and the data analyzed in automation.We define Blended Threat(BT)as a security threat that exploits security vulnerabilities through various attack surfaces in the IoBE.We propose a novel SOAR-CUBE architecture to respond to security incidents with minimal human intervention by automating the BT response process.The Security Orchestration,Automation,and Response(SOAR)part of our architecture is used to link heterogeneous security technologies and the threat intelligence function that collects threat data and performs a correlation analysis of the data.SOAR is operated under Collaborative Units of Blended Environment(CUBE)which facilitates dynamic exchanges of data according to the environment applied to the IoBE by distributing and deploying security technologies for each BT type and dynamically combining them according to the cyber kill chain stage to minimize the damage and respond efficiently to BT.展开更多

Electric veh...A future smart grid must fulfill the vision of the Energy Internet in which millions of people produce their own energy from renewables in their homes, offices, and factories and share it with each other. Electric vehicles and local energy storage will be widely deployed. Internet technology will be utilized to transform the power grid into an energysharing inter-grid. To prepare for the future, a smart grid with intelligent periphery, or smart GRIP, is proposed. The building blocks of GRIP architecture are called clusters and include an energy-management system (EMS)-controlled transmission grid in the core and distribution grids, micro-grids, and smart buildings and homes on the periphery; all of which are hierarchically structured. The layered architecture of GRIP allows a seamless transition from the present to the future and plug-and-play interoperability. The basic functions of a cluster consist of (1) dispatch, (2) smoothing, and (3) mitigation. A risk-limiting dispatch methodology is presented; a new device, called the electric spring, is developed for smoothing out fluctuations in periphery clusters; and means to mitigate failures are discussed.展开更多
By identifying and responding to any malicious behavior that could endanger the system,the Intrusion Detection System(IDS)is crucial for preserving the security of the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)network.The be...By identifying and responding to any malicious behavior that could endanger the system,the Intrusion Detection System(IDS)is crucial for preserving the security of the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)network.The benefit of anomaly-based IDS is that they are able to recognize zeroday attacks due to the fact that they do not rely on a signature database to identify abnormal activity.In order to improve control over datasets and the process,this study proposes using an automated machine learning(AutoML)technique to automate the machine learning processes for IDS.Our groundbreaking architecture,known as AID4I,makes use of automatic machine learning methods for intrusion detection.Through automation of preprocessing,feature selection,model selection,and hyperparameter tuning,the objective is to identify an appropriate machine learning model for intrusion detection.Experimental studies demonstrate that the AID4I framework successfully proposes a suitablemodel.The integrity,security,and confidentiality of data transmitted across the IIoT network can be ensured by automating machine learning processes in the IDS to enhance its capacity to identify and stop threatening activities.With a comprehensive solution that takes advantage of the latest advances in automated machine learning methods to improve network security,AID4I is a powerful and effective instrument for intrusion detection.In preprocessing module,three distinct imputation methods are utilized to handle missing data,ensuring the robustness of the intrusion detection system in the presence of incomplete information.Feature selection module adopts a hybrid approach that combines Shapley values and genetic algorithm.The Parameter Optimization module encompasses a diverse set of 14 classification methods,allowing for thorough exploration and optimization of the parameters associated with each algorithm.By carefully tuning these parameters,the framework enhances its adaptability and accuracy in identifying potential intrusions.Experimental results demonstrate that the AID4I framework can achieve high levels of accuracy in detecting network intrusions up to 14.39%on public datasets,outperforming traditional intrusion detection methods while concurrently reducing the elapsed time for training and testing.展开更多

Many sensor types and data logging systems have been developed for this purpose over the years, but their widespread adoption in practical irrigation scheduling is still limited due to a variety of factors. Important factors limiting adoption of soil moisture sensing technology by farmers include high cost and difficulties in timely data collection and interpretation. Recent developments in open source microcontrollers (such as Arduino), wireless communication, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies offer opportunities for reducing cost and facilitating timely data collection, visualization, and interpretation for farmers. Therefore, the objective of this study was to develop and test a low-cost IoT system for soil moisture monitoring using Watermark 200SS sensors. The system uses Arduino-based microcontrollers and data from the field sensors (End Nodes) are communicated wirelessly using LoRa radios to a receiver (Coordinator), which connects to the Internet via WiFi and sends the data to an open-source website (ThingSpeak.com) where the data can be visualized and further analyzed using Matlab. The system was successfully tested under field conditions by installing Watermark sensors at four depths in a wheat field. The system described here could contribute to widespread adoption of easy-to-use and affordable moisture sensing technologies among farmers.展开更多

Specifically, the study examined how IoT implementation and management affect organizational efficiency in Camanov Ltd.;and to what extent IoT implementation contributes to the saving of cost and time of the organization. The research design is a survey. The population of this study consisted of all 141 staff of Camanov Ltd. Port Harcourt. Since the population is not large, the researcher conducted a census of all, and 126 staff completed a structured questionnaire. The two research questions were analyzed using simple percentages and all two hypotheses were tested using sample proportion statistics (Z test) at a 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that the Internet of Things has a significant impact on organizational efficiency in Camanov Ltd. (Z = 4.73);and that the Internet of Things significantly contributes toward saving cost and time of the organization Camanov Ltd (Z = 4.95). It was recommended that organizations should encourage training of personnel in the improved limitless possibility of information gathered from the Internet of Things framework which supports planning, budgeting and monitoring approaches, providing more reliable information to support actions, in particular in the decision-making process, to enhance productivity.展开更多

The concept of smart houses has grown in prominence in recent years.Major challenges linked to smart homes are identification theft,data safety,automated decision-making for IoT-based devices,and the security of the d...The concept of smart houses has grown in prominence in recent years.Major challenges linked to smart homes are identification theft,data safety,automated decision-making for IoT-based devices,and the security of the device itself.Current home automation systems try to address these issues but there is still an urgent need for a dependable and secure smart home solution that includes automatic decision-making systems and methodical features.This paper proposes a smart home system based on ensemble learning of random forest(RF)and convolutional neural networks(CNN)for programmed decision-making tasks,such as categorizing gadgets as“OFF”or“ON”based on their normal routine in homes.We have integrated emerging blockchain technology to provide secure,decentralized,and trustworthy authentication and recognition of IoT devices.Our system consists of a 5V relay circuit,various sensors,and a Raspberry Pi server and database for managing devices.We have also developed an Android app that communicates with the server interface through an HTTP web interface and an Apache server.The feasibility and efficacy of the proposed smart home automation system have been evaluated in both laboratory and real-time settings.It is essential to use inexpensive,scalable,and readily available components and technologies in smart home automation systems.Additionally,we must incorporate a comprehensive security and privacy-centric design that emphasizes risk assessments,such as cyberattacks,hardware security,and other cyber threats.The trial results support the proposed system and demonstrate its potential for use in everyday life.展开更多

文摘The concept of smart houses has grown in prominence in recent years.Major challenges linked to smart homes are identification theft,data safety,automated decision-making for IoT-based devices,and the security of the device itself.Current home automation systems try to address these issues but there is still an urgent need for a dependable and secure smart home solution that includes automatic decision-making systems and methodical features.This paper proposes a smart home system based on ensemble learning of random forest(RF)and convolutional neural networks(CNN)for programmed decision-making tasks,such as categorizing gadgets as“OFF”or“ON”based on their normal routine in homes.We have integrated emerging blockchain technology to provide secure,decentralized,and trustworthy authentication and recognition of IoT devices.Our system consists of a 5V relay circuit,various sensors,and a Raspberry Pi server and database for managing devices.We have also developed an Android app that communicates with the server interface through an HTTP web interface and an Apache server.The feasibility and efficacy of the proposed smart home automation system have been evaluated in both laboratory and real-time settings.It is essential to use inexpensive,scalable,and readily available components and technologies in smart home automation systems.Additionally,we must incorporate a comprehensive security and privacy-centric design that emphasizes risk assessments,such as cyberattacks,hardware security,and other cyber threats.The trial results support the proposed system and demonstrate its potential for use in everyday life.
文摘This article aims to explore the application of digitalization in practical training teaching under the background of“Internet+”by taking the teaching of“Front Office Service”in the hotel management and digital operation major as an example.By using digital teaching methods,tools,and practical training methods,this study analyzes the impact of digital practical training teaching on students’mastery of front office service skills as well as explores the ways to implement digital practical training teaching.The research results show that digital practical training teaching can effectively improve students’learning effects and comprehensive quality,and simultaneously has positive significance for cultivating comprehensive hotel management talents that adapt to the needs of the“Internet+”era.
