Effects of Different Culture Conditions and Growth States on the Structure and Hemostatic Properties of Coscinodiscus sp.

As a renewable marine inorganic material,Coscinodiscus sp.has significant potential in the field of rapid hemostasis.However,the low yield of Coscinodiscus sp.seriously limits the application.In this study,two new culture modes were adopted to increase the production of Coscinodiscus sp.,the effect of changes in culture conditions and growth status on the hemostatic activity of diatoms was detected.To prevent Coscinodiscus sp.from sinking in culture,the suspension culture mode was realized by adding0.5%agar.The semi-continuous high nutrient concentration culture mode increased the cell density of Coscinodiscus sp.to 11000cells mL^(-1)and shorten the culture cycle to 5 d.In terms of coagulation activity,the addition of frustules reduced the in vitro coagulation time by half and the activation time of coagulation by 70%.The hemolysis rate and cytotoxicity of frustules harvested in the two culture modes did not change significantly.The results showed that suspension culture mode and high nutrient concentration culture mode only changed the growth state of Coscinodiscus sp.,while the hemostatic performance remained stable.

An Analysis of Reading Materials in New Senior English for China Based on Cultivation of Cultural Awareness —A Case Study of Compulsory Book 3

China is in the era of rapid development of information technology and the era of close cultural communication between countries, which requires English teaching to cultivate students’ cultural awareness, develop their intercultural communicative competence. Based on Byram’s checklist, this paper analyzes the cultural contents in reading materials of New Senior English for China (NSEFC) Compulsory Book 3. The research indicates that the textbook is rich in cultural content and the selected reading materials are authentic. However, there are two shortcomings: the uneven distribution of themes as well as cultural contents and the lack of cultural content comparison in the textbook. According to the findings, this paper provides some suggestions for textbook editors and English teachers, aiming at realizing the improvement and a better use of the textbook, so as to cultivate students’ cultural awareness.

Coordination Degree of Material Cultural Landscapes in Historic and Cultural Blocks of Early-Modern Cities:A Case Study of Taiyanggou in Dalian City of China

Connotations of urban cultural landscapes were elaborated,protection and development of cultural landscapes were believed as a significant and realistic task in the rapid urbanization.Cultural landscapes in early-modern cities have typical academic research value and practical significance because of their special historic background.Taiyanggou in Dalian City was taken for example,coordination degree of material cultural landscapes in this historic and cultural block of the early-modern city was evaluated objectively from the perspectives of visual coordination,functional coordination and cultural coordination through establishing the evaluation index system,applying AHP and comprehensive evaluation method.The results showed that Taiyanggou had a high coordination degree of material cultural landscapes,problems in the protection and construction of its material cultural landscapes were analyzed,and corresponding suggestions proposed.

On the C-E Translation of Cultural Information in Tourist Publicity Materials

Chinese scholar Qiu Maoru points out that the aim of translation is,partly,to establish cultural equivalence between the source text and the target text.He also argues that whether or how to establish cultural equivalence depends on the following four factors:1) the type of source text;2) the significance of cultural flavor in the source text;3) the purpose of translation;4) the type of readers of the target text.This theory provides a good perspective for the C-E translation of cultural information in Tourist Publicity Materials.Under the guidance of this theory,this paper attempts to explore the methods of establishing cultural equivalence in translation of Tourist Publicity Materials.

Material Culture as Amulets:Magical Elements and the Apotropaic in Ancient Roman World

This article aims to make a brief presentation on the elements of material culture in the ancient Palestinian region,mainly coins,which were removed from their production context and placed in funerary contexts(coins were often buried in graves),thus converted in amulets,acquiring magical and apotropaic senses.We will use examples verified in different parts of the Roman Empire,as in Pithekússai(modest island,which is in the Italian Peninsula),on the banks of the Thames,in Celtic contexts,more specifically in the current city of Lezoux,France,in the ancient city of Aquincum,present day Budapest,also in Tel Maresha and Tiberias,present-day Israel,to demonstrate how these practices were recurrent throughout the Empire.It is also our intention to observe iconographic elements that bring apotropaic content in their formulations,because,in addition to the role that coins could play in connecting the worlds of men and gods,many people believed that they had the power to project magical and apotropaic strength through images powerful that they portrayed.

A Study on the Translation of Publicity Materials in Tourism Culture of Heilongjiang Province

Taking the translation of publicity materials in Heilongjiang province as an example,this article elaborates the advantages of tourism culture in Heilongjiang province,the translators*12*5 standards and attainment,the problems which existed in the translation of publicity materials,as well as the solutions to solve these problems.It is hoped that this article can facilitate the propaganda of tourism culture so as to promote the economic and cultural development.

有着千年发展史的古代书院,留下了丰富的文献史料。书院史料是地方特色文化内涵的重要载体,见证一地历史演变,从侧面可反映该地在一定历史时期社会经济文化的独特面貌。对书院史料予以系统整理与考察研究,是当代文化价值根源追溯的需要,更是古代书院精神传承与发展的诉求。佛山书院史料内容丰富,涉猎建置、干系人物、课业与学规、经费来源与用途、性质与功用、著述艺文等。分专题考察这些史料发现,佛山古代书院呈现出3个主要特征:其创建发展与佛山各地域行政建置、社会经济文化发展密切关联;是书院文化根植于本土后双向作用的产物;未形成一个完整的教育链条。

Thermodynamic analysis of growth of ternary Ⅲ-Ⅴ semiconductor materials by molecular-beam epitaxy

Thermodynamic models for molecular-beam epitaxy（MBE） growth of ternary Ⅲ-Ⅴ semiconductor materials are proposed.These models are in agreement with our experimental materials InGaP/GaAs and InGaAs/InP,and reported GaAsP/GaAs and InAsP/InP in thermodynamic growth.The lattice strain energy △G and thermal decomposition sensitive to growth temperature are demonstrated in the models simultaneously.△G is the function of the alloy composition,which is affected by flux ratio and growth temperature directly.The calculation results reveal that flux ratio and growth temperature mainly influence the growth process.Thermodynamic model of quaternary InGaAsP/GaAs semiconductor material is discussed also.

Environmental archaeology on Longshan Culture （4500-4000 aBP） at Yuhuicun Site in Bengbu, Anhui Province

Based on the samples collected from the west wall of the ABYT2004 at Yuhuicun Site in Bengbu, Anhui Province, the multi-environmental substitute indexes such as the grain-size, Rb/Sr, zircon crystal morphology and magnetic susceptibility were analyzed. The age of archaeological strata was determined by AMS^14C dating. According to the results, combined with the information of the ancient human activities and the cultural heritage data obtained from the Longshan cultural archaeological strata, it can be concluded that （1） Before 4500 aBP, the climate was humid and water level was high in the Huaihe River and its tributaries, the drainage basin and its surrounding areas were even flooded, so the site area was submerged and there were no human activities around the site. （2） About 4500 aBP, the climate began to become drier and water level of the Huaihe River and its tributaries began to decline, thus floodplain gradually appeared, Yuhuicun Site and Longshan Culture began to appear. （3） Around 4100 aBP, the climate was humid and rainfall was abundant, which resulted in frequent flood disasters in the whole Huaihe River Basin. （4） After 4100 aBP, the climate gradually transited to be cold and dry, agricultural production was constrained to reduce the food source, Yuhuicun Site was almost abandoned. （5） The environmental information in sedimentary strata and historical records based on ancient books agree with each other. In addition, Yuhuicun Site was related to Dayu Zhishui （Yu the Great in taming the floods） in ancient books.

Translation of Tourist Material from Cultural Differences

China's booming tourism industry has aroused great demand to communicate with people of different cultural backgrounds.Therefore,the translated version of tourism promotional texts has become an increasingly important medium for the outside world to know China's tourism resources.This paper analyzes the differences in culture and proposing strategies on translation,and the author hopes that this article can help to resolve the cultural conflicts,cultural prejudice and communicational obstacles so as to promote the communication among different cultures.

Investigation of Various Laminating Materials for Interior Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motor for Cooling Fan Application

Permanent magnet brushless DC motors are used for various low-power applications,namely domestic fans,washing machines,mixer grinders and cooling fan applications.This paper focuses on selecting the best laminating material for the interior permanent magnet brushless DC(IPM BLDC)motor used in the cooling fan of automobiles.Various laminating materials,namely M19-29GA,M800-65A and M43,are tested using finite element analysis.The machine's vital performance metrics,namely the stator current,torque ripple,and hysteresis loss were analyzed in selecting the laminating material.The designed motor is also modelled as a mathematical model from the computed lumped parameters.The performance of the machines was validated through electromagnetic and thermal analysis.

Simple Modifications to Standard TRIzol®Protocol Allow High-Yield RNA Extraction from Cells on Resorbable Materials

Resorbable bioceramics are attractive for medical applications such as bone substitution. Biochemical analysis on cells cultured on these biomaterials is vital to predict the impact of the materials in vivo and RNA extraction is an essential step in gene expression study using RT-qPCR. In this study, we describe simple modifications to the TRIzol? RNA extraction protocol widely used in biology and these allow high-yield extraction of RNA from cells on resorbable calcium phosphates. Without the modifications, RNA is trapped in the co-precipitated calcium compounds, rendering TRIzol? extraction method infeasible. Among the modifications, the use of extra TRIzol? to dilute the lysate before the RNA precipitation step is critical for extraction of RNA from porous ?-tricalcium phosphate (?-TCP) discs. We also investigate the rationale behind the undesirable precipitation so as to provide clues about the modifications required for other resorbable materials with high application potential in bone tissue engineering.

Properties and Microstructure Evolution of Al_2O_3-Si Material Fired in Different Atmospheres

A1203-Si composite specimens were prepared using fused corundum, ultra-fine α-A1203 and Si powder as starting materials and resin as binder. Effects of sintering atmospheres on properties, phase composition and microstructure of specimens after firing at 1 500 ℃ were investigated. The results show that： （ 1 ） after .firing in oxidizing or weak oxidizing atmosphere, there is some Si in the specimens and some glass phases containing mullite form on specimen surface, the density and strength at room temperature are relatively high, but hot modulus of rupture and thermal shock resistance are relatively poor; （2） after firing in, weak reducing or reducing atmosphere, Si reacts completely with CO or N2forming whisk-phere, Si reacts completely with CO or N2forming whisk-er-like SiC, granular Si2N20 or 0＇-SiAION, and the er-like SiC, granular Si2N20 or O＇-SiMON, and the thermo-mechanical properties of specimens are enhanced;（3） after firing in nitrogen atmosphere, Si reacts completely with N2, CO or G forming wbisker-like SiC and columnar β-SiA10N crystals, the hot modulus of rupture and thermal shock resistance of specimens are enhanced noticeably.

社会-物质视角下旅游与传统手工艺可持续发展——以东莞莞香为例

旅游业的发展为传统手工艺的保护、振兴和传承提供了新的场景和机遇,但现代化与商品化下的原材料与生产技艺创新可能与其原本的物质性形成张力和矛盾。文章从社会-物质视角出发,以东莞传统手工艺莞香为研究对象,探讨旅游地建设与旅游业发展情境下传统手工艺可持续发展的机遇与挑战。通过对沉香文化博物馆、牙香街、莞香小镇等旅游场景下现代莞香种植、加工与贸易的参与式观察以及对30位行动者的深度访谈,研究揭示了传统手工艺作为重要的物质本身如何在与旅游结合发展过程中得以振兴与改变,以及由其物质性产生的争议和矛盾。研究发现:1)莞香结香时间长、结香条件苛刻和自带独特的香味等物质特点使其生产离不开东莞的地理环境、地方香农总结的特定技艺,莞香生产与制作的传统手工艺成为东莞的国家级非物质文化遗产;2)旅游地建设背景下,与旅游相结合的发展使得莞香相关技艺、文化和产业得以振兴,并在其商品形式、制作技艺、传承场景和香市贸易上产生了符合旅游需求与现代生产的创新与转变;3)莞香的物质特点引发了关于植物保护与开采、质量与效率、独特性与标准化、具身性与品质和价值等一系列矛盾,对莞香的可持续发展产生挑战。文章引入新物质主义哲学思想下的物质性概念深化了文旅融合背景下的传统手工艺研究,揭示了物质性对其保护、传承与发展的独特作用,有助于在实践上推动莞香的可持续发展。
