Digital resources for nursing education:Open courseware and massive open online courses

Open Courseware(OCW)and massive open online courses(MOOCs)are teaching and learning resources that are easily accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.OCW is digitally published learning content including full and partial courses(syllabi,outlines,lectures in pdf or video,slides,reference lists,etc.),simulations,animations,tutorials,drills and practices,modules,podcasts,case studies,and quizzes.This content is free and can be adopted or adapted to the user's needs.MOOCs are online learning experiences taught by university professors using conventional educational tools including video lectures,interactive modules,assignments,study materials,discussion boards,quizzes and tests.MOOCs are offered free or at low cost for personal and professional learning,and as a supplement to classroom teaching.Many MOOCs and OCW focus on topics of interest to nursing,particularly to nurse educators.This article provides the reader with a brief history of the development of OCW and MOOCs,conceptual descriptions,and guidance about how to access and use these new online resources.

An Ensemble Learning Model for Early Dropout Prediction of MOOC Courses

Massive open online courses(MOOCs)have become a way of online learning across the world in the past few years.However,the extremely high dropout rate has brought many challenges to the development of online learning.Most of the current methods have low accuracy and poor generalization ability when dealing with high-dimensional dropout features.They focus on the analysis of the learning score and check result of online course,but neglect the phased student behaviors.Besides,the status of student participation at a given moment is necessarily impacted by the prior status of learning.To address these issues,this paper has proposed an ensemble learning model for early dropout prediction(ELM-EDP)that integrates attention-based document representation as a vector(A-Doc2vec),feature learning of course difficulty,and weighted soft voting ensemble with heterogeneous classifiers(WSV-HC).First,A-Doc2vec is proposed to learn sequence features of student behaviors of watching lecture videos and completing course assignments.It also captures the relationship between courses and videos.Then,a feature learning method is proposed to reduce the interference caused by the differences of course difficulty on the dropout prediction.Finally,WSV-HC is proposed to highlight the benefits of integration strategies of boosting and bagging.Experiments on the MOOCCube2020 dataset show that the high accuracy of our ELM-EDP has better results on Accuracy,Precision,Recall,and F1.

Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen in Open Graded Wearing Course of Flexible Pavement

Rapid road infrastructure development due to an increasing demand of car users resulted in an increase in paved areas including road sites and suppression of green spaces. An integrated solution that can support a country’s economic development without compromising water pollution is becoming inevitable. Recycling tyres in the form of crumb rubber tyres and mixing it into bituminous paving mixture can increase the recycling rate and minimize cost of incineration process. In dry mixing process, five (5) different variations of Open Graded Wearing (OGW) course road samples were made to make up 1.15 kg in each sample. Each OGW mix contained 4% - 6% bitumen Pen 60/ 70 and fixed 1% of crumb rubber tyres, making the percentage of crumb rubber tyres 14% - 20% of bituminous samples. Bitumen Pen 60/70 mixed with 20% crumb rubber tyres content met the PG 76 bitumen properties. Physical properties of OGW made from crumb rubber modified bitumen (CRMB) were better than standard bitumen only. In a separate water leachate test using ICP-OES equipment, heavy metal leachate of Cu(II), Pb(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) were present in all OGW CRMB samples at increasing surrounding water temperature from 25℃ to 60℃. However all the heavy metal concentration was very low below the allowable limit of trade effluent standards into water course.

Coursera作为开放在线课程的佼佼者,其教学成功之道无疑值得我们去思考与研究。该文通过跟踪学习"混合学习"课程,对其在资源、教学、学习及评价等方面的特点进行分析,挖掘梳理Coursera在教学方面的成功之道,并探讨其对我国在线课程发展的启示。研究得出为使我国在线课程迅速发展,在根据我国学习者特点和现有技术支持的前提下,其资源设计应满足在线学习者的个性化学习需求,教学上应提供完善的课程学习支持服务,学习上要打造空前开放的学习共同体,评价上需制定灵活多样的评价机制,进而开发出"本土化"的在线课程。

高等职业院校在线开放课程建设的路径研究

分析高等职业院校在线开放课程建设背景及意义,从课程设计、教学实施、教学评价三个方面提出了在线课程的建设原则。从课程内容的更新和优化、教师团队的培养和培训、学习者的体验和反馈为课程建设等角度提出了建设思路。以哈尔滨职业技术学院在线课程建设的实践经验为例,提出五个实践路径:确定课程设置、教材和教学资源选择、教学活动设计、课程平台建设、课程推广和营销,为高等职业院校教师的在线开放课程提供有益参考。

高职“中药鉴定技术”在线精品课程规范化建设探索与实践

“中药鉴定技术”是高职高专中药、中药制药等专业学生的必修核心课程。本课程团队秉承知识传授、能力培养与价值引领三位一体的理念,依托省级“课程思政”示范课程建设项目,重新设定了在线开放课程建设的思路与目标,开发体现课程思政教育特点的教学资源,尝试进行“线上+线下”混合式教学模式。本文从在线精品课程的设计、课程建设、课程应用和课程思政建设及考核评价等方面介绍中药鉴定在线精品课程的规范化建设思路和内容,以期对同类职业院校的在线课程建设和专业课程教学提供一定的帮助与参考,也是对“课程思政”教学模式的有益探索。

基于慕课的混合式教学模式在心电图教学中的应用

目的探索基于慕课的混合式教学模式在心电图教学中的应用效果。方法选择2021年3—7月暨南大学第一临床医学院2018级临床医学专业本科生为研究对象,共91名。在诊断学心电图章节的教学中,采用以心电图慕课为基础的线上自学和线下面授课相结合的混合式教学模式,分析期末心电图理论和阅图考试成绩和问卷结果。结果理论和阅图成绩分别为(21.00±3.89)分和(19.33±4.63)分。理论考试中,一些心电图基础知识的准确率低于50%,仅有50%的学生能识别心室颤动。阅图考试结果显示,大部分图形节律、心率等基本参数的准确率较高,可达90%以上,而心电图结论的准确率均较低。超过75%的学生认为心电图慕课对学习心电图有很大帮助,阅图训练的15个问题可以帮助理清心电图分析思路;83.15%的学生认为基本掌握了心电图分析要点,8.99%的学生是熟练掌握。结论基于慕课的混合式教学模式对学生掌握心电图分析要点很有帮助,学生对心电图基本参数掌握较好,对于异常心电图特征的记忆和分析有待加强。

从MOOC到IMOOC再到OMC:数字时代的课堂革命

随着数字技术的飞速发展及其与高等教育的深度融合,“互联网+教育”“人工智能+教育”“元宇宙+教育”等高等教育数字化新形态应运而生。数字技术革命带动着高等教育的改革与创新发展,也改变着大学课程与课堂教学。我国慕课发展的十年历程中,慕课作为“互联网+教育”的产物,在促进教育公平和推动高等教育数字化转型,尤其是新冠疫情防控期间的在线教学中发挥重要作用。在教育数字化转型阶段及中国慕课发展十年之际,研判慕课未来的发展趋势:在人工智能、元宇宙、数字孪生、全息成像等技术支持下,慕课将逐步发展到智能化交互式虚拟慕课(IMOOC),再到开放式元宇宙课(OMC)的新形态与新阶段。据此,描述智能化交互式虚拟慕课的概念及其智能化、交互式、虚拟化、体验性等特点,展示其场景教学示例;提出开放式元宇宙课的概念与沉浸感、虚拟化、交互式、跨时空等特点,阐述元宇宙教育服务空间,并展现相关的元宇宙教室与教学场景。在此基础上,对智能化交互式虚拟慕课与开放式元宇宙课程面临的挑战进行思考和展望。可以预见,“人工智能+元宇宙+服务+教育”将在改变高等教育教与学的方式上提供无限的可能,未来“元宇宙+智慧教育+服务”必将在教育数字化转型中发挥重要作用。

基于“慕课+虚拟仿真”的生理学实验评价体系改革

随着新时代职业教育信息化的发展,以及全面落实“立德树人”根本任务的要求,研究如何把“课程思政”的思想引领贯穿线上线下全过程的教学管理中,实现课程思政育人目标,提高学生思想道德素质和职业素养尤为重要。以高职“建筑装饰材料识别与选购”课程为例,调研行业人才素质需求,利用典型工作岗位的任务教学法,收集、分析线上课程平台信息化教学管理数据,实施阶梯式模块项目教学模式,构建一个闭环的课程思政与专业课融合的教学环境。通过实践得出一套适用于高职同类课程的“以德载能三段式协同育人”混合式课程思政教学模式,并在建设与实施中取得了显著的育人成效。

基于PathSim的MOOCs知识概念推荐模型

大规模开放在线课程提供大规模开放式在线学习平台,为推进现代教育发挥关键作用。然而,减少用户学习盲区和改善用户体验方面的研究仍具有挑战性:交互数据稀疏;难以扩展到大型推荐任务上;用户需求不单由用户喜好决定,还受到不同教师、课程影响;以统一的方式对课程学习事件中不同类型实体及关系进行建模并不妥靠。基于此,引入相关性度量,依据全图结构信息计算各边权重,提出采用相关性度量算法PathSim进行邻域采样的知识概念推荐模型PathSimSage。各实体间相关性得分可在本地离线计算,将神经网络与传播过程分离,保证神经网络的堆叠层数和传播过程的独立性,大幅减少模型所需训练时间。在公开的MoocCube数据集上进行了综合实验,PathSimSage降低了不相关的信息甚至噪声的影响,解决随机游走采样所引发的高度节点偏差问题,并在一定程度上缓解了过平滑效应。

基于项目的学习法联合慕课在医学统计学教学中的应用与思考

医学统计学课程教学团队从研究生医学统计学课程教学现状和存在问题出发,提出基于项目的学习法(project-based learning,PBL)联合大规模开放在线课程(massive open online courses,MOOC),即慕课的教学模式。本文对这种新型教学模式在研究生医学统计学课程的操作实施过程进行详细阐述,并对教学效果进行比较分析。结果表明PBL联合MOOC教学模式在提高学生的学习兴趣和动力、拓展学习资源和学习路径等方面具有优势,与传统教学模式相互补充和融合是解决当前研究生医学统计学课程学习瓶颈的有效途径,为当前医学院校研究生课程的教学改革与实践提供新思路。

全球开放科学云的服务生态解构与启示

[目的/意义]全球开放科学云是近年来为扩大资源获取范围,应对全球挑战而提出的新概念。对这一概念进行深入分析,有助于为我国开放科学基础设施发展提供参考。[方法/过程]在网络调研和文献调研的基础上,对全球开放科学云的发展历程进行分析,并以全球开放科学为目标,结合GOSC测试平台的原型,探索科研用户参与开放科学的模式,构建全球开放科学云服务生态系统。[结果/结论]数据服务生态系统是以服务主体的三元互动模式为基础结构,以GOSC平台为服务媒介,引导数据交互活动中各利益相关者在微观、中观和宏观层面相互协作,推动数据价值共创并提升服务质量。基于服务生态系统中保障数据价值共创实现三个层次,并结合我国的实际,提出价值创造模式、数据交互和基础环境三个方面的参考意见,以优化国内科研生态系统和技术基础设施,提高我国科研能力。
