文摘Identifying the sex pheromone systems of local pest populations facilitates their management, especially for moth species that show significant geographic variation in sex pheromone communication. We investigated the pheromone production and behavioral responses of the Asian corn borer(Ostrinia furnacalis Guenée;ACB)in Xinjiang,China. The ACB produces three compounds:(Z)-12-tetradecenyl acetate(Z12-14:Ac)and(E)-12-tetradecenyl acetate(E12-14:Ac)which are two sex pheromone compounds, and n-tetradecyl acetate(14:Ac)which has variable roles in mediating behavioral responses. The ratios of these three compounds produced in female gland are geographically distinct among different populations.Quantitative analysis of pheromone production showed that the proportions of Z12-14:Ac in the E/Z isomers(i.e.,Z and E12-14:Ac)and the proportions of 14:Ac in the ternary blend respectively averaged 60.46%(SD=5.26)and 25.00%(SD=7.37),with their probabilities normally or near-normally distributed.Trapping experiments in a cornfield indicated that deploying the E/Z isomers and the three compounds in rubber septa close to their gland ratios yielded the most captured males, while other ratios that deviated from the gland ratios showed reduced field captures. The ternary blend was significantly more attractive to males than the E/Z isomers in the field, indicating a functional role of 14:Ac as the third pheromone component used by the local population.Additionally, the dose-response test demonstrated that the application of the three compounds at dosages between 200 and 350μg attracted significantly more males compared to other dosages. Therefore, the characterization of this local ACB pheromone system provides additional information about its geographic variation and serves as a basis for optimizing the pheromone-mediated control of this pest in Xinjiang.
文摘The novelty of this research lies in the successful fabrication of a 3D-printed honeycomb structure filled with nanofillers for acoustic properties, utilizing an impedance tube setup in accordance with ASTM standard E 1050-12.The Creality Ender-3,a 3D printer, was used for printing the honeycomb structures, and polylactic acid(PLA)material was employed for their construction. The organic, inorganic, and polymeric compounds within the composites were identified using fourier transformation infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy. The structure and homogeneity of the samples were examined using a field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM).To determine the sound absorption coefficient of the 3D printed honeycomb structure, numerous samples were systematically developed using central composite design(CCD)and analysed using response surface methodology(RSM).The RSM mathematical model was established to predict the optimum values of each factor and noise reduction coefficient(NRC).The optimum values for an NRC of 0.377 were found to be 1.116 wt% carbon black,1.025 wt% aluminium powder, and 3.151 mm distance between parallel edges.Overall, the results demonstrate that a 3Dprinted honeycomb structure filled with nanofillers is an excellent material that can be utilized in various fields, including defence and aviation, where lightweight and acoustic properties are of great importance.

文摘Valuable dropsonde data were obtained from multiple field campaigns targeting tropical cyclones, namely Higos,Nangka,Saudel, and Atsani, over the western North Pacific by the Hong Kong Observatory and Taiwan Central Weather Bureau in 2020.The conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation(CNOP)method has been utilized in real-time to identify the sensitive regions for targeting observations adhering to the procedure of real-time field campaigns for the first time. The observing system experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of dropsonde data and CNOP sensitivity on TC forecasts in terms of track and intensity, using the Weather Research and Forecasting model. It is shown that the impact of assimilating all dropsonde data on both track and intensity forecasts is case-dependent.However,assimilation using only the dropsonde data inside the sensitive regions displays unanimously positive effects on both the track and intensity forecast, either of which obtains comparable benefits to or greatly reduces deterioration of the skill when assimilating all dropsonde data. Therefore, these results encourage us to further carry out targeting observations for the forecast of tropical cyclones according to CNOP sensitivity.

文摘The shear behavior of large-scale weak intercalation shear zones(WISZs)often governs the stability of foundations, rock slopes, and underground structures. However, due to their wide distribution, undulating morphology, complex fabrics, and varying degrees of contact states, characterizing the shear behavior of natural and complex large-scale WISZs precisely is challenging. This study proposes an analytical method to address this issue, based on geological fieldwork and relevant experimental results. The analytical method utilizes the random field theory and Kriging interpolation technique to simplify the spatial uncertainties of the structural and fabric features for WISZs into the spatial correlation and variability of their mechanical parameters. The Kriging conditional random field of the friction angle of WISZs is embedded in the discrete element software 3DEC,enabling activation analysis of WISZ C2 in the underground caverns of the Baihetan hydropower station. The results indicate that the activation scope of WISZ C2 induced by the excavation of underground caverns is approximately 0.5e1 times the main powerhouse span, showing local activation.Furthermore, the overall safety factor of WISZ C2 follows a normal distribution with an average value of 3.697.

文摘This study investigates the modulation of initial wind field structure on the relationship between the size and intensity of a simulated vortex.A series of idealized experiments are conducted by varying the radius of maximum wind(RMW)and shape parameter of the initial vortices. The size–intensity relationship is quantified by the linear regression coefficient of the azimuthally-averaged gale-force wind radius against the maximum wind during the development stage, reflecting the degree of size expansion at the same intensity increment. The regression coefficient increases with increased RMW and decreased, with the RMW being the primary constraint. The effect of lowering on the elevation of the regression coefficient gradually stands out when the initial RMW is large.Enlarging the RMW leads to a secondary circulation with a horizontally elongated structure, which retards the intensification while promoting size expansion, thus substantially enhancing size expansion as the vortex intensifies.Broadening the wind field outside the RMW by reducing results in abounding convection in the outer region, which promotes size expansion.Based on the axisymmetric tangential wind tendency and Sawyer–Eliassen equations, when the RMW is large, the active convection in the outer region can weaken the radial inflow induced by the eyewall heating in the inner region, thus retarding the intensification by reducing the radial imports of vorticity near the RMW.

文摘Goal-conditioned reinforcement learning(RL)is an interesting extension of the traditional RL framework, where the dynamic environment and reward sparsity can cause conventional learning algorithms to fail.Reward shaping is a practical approach to improving sample efficiency by embedding human domain knowledge into the learning process.Existing reward shaping methods for goal-conditioned RL are typically built on distance metrics with a linear and isotropic distribution, which may fail to provide sufficient information about the ever-changing environment with high complexity. This paper proposes a novel magnetic field-based reward shaping(MFRS)method for goal-conditioned RL tasks with dynamic target and obstacles.Inspired by the physical properties of magnets,we consider the target and obstacles as permanent magnets and establish the reward function according to the intensity values of the magnetic field generated by these magnets. The nonlinear and anisotropic distribution of the magnetic field intensity can provide more accessible and conducive information about the optimization landscape, thus introducing a more sophisticated magnetic reward compared to the distance-based setting.Further,we transform our magnetic reward to the form of potential-based reward shaping by learning a secondary potential function concurrently to ensure the optimal policy invariance of our method.Experiments results in both simulated and real-world robotic manipulation tasks demonstrate that MFRS outperforms relevant existing methods and effectively improves the sample efficiency of RL algorithms in goal-conditioned tasks with various dynamics of the target and obstacles.
文摘BACKGROUND Our study expand upon a large body of evidence in the field of neuropsychiatric imaging with cognitive, affective and behavioral tasks, adapted for the functional magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)(fMRI)experimental environment. There is sufficient evidence that common networks underpin activations in task-based fMRI across different mental disorders.AIM To investigate whether there exist specific neural circuits which underpin differ-ential item responses to depressive, paranoid and neutral items(DN)in patients respectively with schizophrenia(SCZ)and major depressive disorder(MDD).METHODS 60 patients were recruited with SCZ and MDD.All patients have been scanned on 3T magnetic resonance tomography platform with functional MRI paradigm, comprised of block design, including blocks with items from diagnostic paranoid(DP),depression specific(DS)and DN from general interest scale. We performed a two-sample t-test between the two groups-SCZ patients and depressive patients. Our purpose was to observe different brain networks which were activated during a specific condition of the task, respectively DS,DP,DN.RESULTS Several significant results are demonstrated in the comparison between SCZ and depressive groups while performing this task.We identified one component that is task-related and independent of condition(shared between all three conditions),composed by regions within the temporal(right superior and middle temporal gyri),frontal(left middle and inferior frontal gyri)and limbic/salience system(right anterior insula).Another com-ponent is related to both diagnostic specific conditions(DS and DP)e.g.It is shared between DEP and SCZ,and includes frontal motor/language and parietal areas. One specific component is modulated preferentially by to the DP condition, and is related mainly to prefrontal regions, whereas other two components are significantly modulated with the DS condition and include clusters within the default mode network such as posterior cingulate and precuneus, several occipital areas, including lingual and fusiform gyrus,as well as parahippocampal gyrus. Finally, component 12 appeared to be unique for the neutral condition. In addition, there have been determined circuits across components, which are either common,or distinct in the preferential processing of the sub-scales of the task.CONCLUSION This study has delivers further evidence in support of the model of trans-disciplinary cross-validation in psychiatry.

文摘Tectonic stress fields are the key drivers of tectonic events and the evolution of regional structures. The tectonic stress field evolution of the Tanlu fault zone in Shandong Province, located in the east of the North China Craton(NCC),may have preserved records of the NCC’s tectonic history.Borehole television survey and hydraulic fracturing were conducted to analyze the paleo and present tectonic stress fields.Three groups of tensile fractures were identified via borehole television, their azimuths being NNW-SSE,NW-SE and NE-SW,representing multiple stages of tectonic events.Hydraulic fracturing data indicates that the study region is experiencing NEE-SWW-oriented compression and nearly-N-Soriented extension,in accordance with strike-slip and compression.Since the Cretaceous, the orientation of the extensional stress has evolved counterclockwise and sequentially from nearly-NW-SE-oriented to NE-SW-oriented and even nearly N-S-oriented,the stress state having transitioned from strike-slip-extension to strike-slip-compression,in association with the rotating and oblique subduction of the Pacific Plate beneath the NCC,with the participation of the Indian Plate.

文摘During extended warranty(EW)period, maintenance events play a key role in controlling the product systems within normal operations. However, the modelling of failure process and maintenance optimization is complicated owing to the complex features of the product system, namely, components of the multi-component system are interdependent with each other in some form. For the purpose of optimizing the EW pricing decision of the multi-component system scientifically and rationally, taking the series multi-component system with economic dependence sold with EW policy as a research object, this paper optimizes the imperfect preventive maintenance(PM)strategy from the standpoint of EW cost.Taking into consideration adjusting the PM moments of the components in the system,a group maintenance model is developed,in which the system is repaired preventively in accordance with a specified PM base interval. In order to compare with the system EW cost before group maintenance, the system EW cost model before group maintenance is developed.Numerical example demonstrates that offering group maintenance programs can reduce EW cost of the system to a great extent, thereby reducing the EW price, which proves to be a win-win strategy to manufacturers and users.
文摘To address the problem that dynamic wind turbine clutter(WTC)significantly degrades the performance of weather radar,a WTC mitigation algorithm using morphological component analysis(MCA)with group sparsity is studied in this paper. The ground clutter is suppressed firstly to reduce the morphological compositions of radar echo. After that, the MCA algorithm is applied and the window used in the short-time Fourier transform(STFT)is optimized to lessen the spectrum leakage of WTC.Finally, the group sparsity structure of WTC in the STFT domain can be utilized to decrease the degrees of freedom in the solution, thus contributing to better estimation performance of weather signals. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are demonstrated by numerical simulations.
