This paper aims to explore how a veteran teacher organizes online teaching initiated by the pandemic and how she deals with the problems in online teacher-student verbal interaction.By analyzing a corpus of 20 audio-r...This paper aims to explore how a veteran teacher organizes online teaching initiated by the pandemic and how she deals with the problems in online teacher-student verbal interaction.By analyzing a corpus of 20 audio-recorded online lessons between a math teacher and her students during the COVID-19 pandemic from April 11 to May 10,2022,four interactional segments are selected as the focus of the study.The results of the conversation analysis of the segments showed that students’modesty,lack of confidence,lack of ability,and network delay are the main factors affecting online teacher-student interaction.By encouraging students to answer questions,enlightening students to give answers,enriching students’answers,and entertaining the teaching atmosphere(“4Es”strategies),the teacher solved the problems successfully.The findings from this study can provide pedagogical experience and implications for practical teaching.展开更多
During epidemic,students in medium-risk or high-risk areas are unable to return to school on time.In response to this new challenge,there is an urgent need to create a new teaching mode to offer on-line courses to tho...During epidemic,students in medium-risk or high-risk areas are unable to return to school on time.In response to this new challenge,there is an urgent need to create a new teaching mode to offer on-line courses to those absent from the offline classes,and we propose a model integrating online and offline teaching.It is based on“dual-camera”method,which allows off-campus students to virtually build up a physical classroom scenario on campus through computers and mobile phones.Using this model,students can participate in class remotely.In order to enhance the engagement of off-campus online students,emphasis is placed on interactive teaching.Teachers are required to design their teaching in advance and to work in collaboration with multiple departments,then using information technology and suitable teaching methods to enable students to participate in physical classroom teaching.This model has been tested in practice and has been successful in meeting the challenges.Finally,4 areas for improvement and refinement are identified.展开更多

B/S client communication protocol is constructed in network transport layer, and the scene simulation model of English Online Course Teaching is established, online English teaching platform designed in this paper is constructed based on the sensing layer, network layer and application layer. A data processing center is constructed in the B/S structure and the network environment, Open Core kernel is used to realize the optimization of teaching model of English online courses, improve the teaching platform of online courses, and improve the scene adaptation ability. The test results show that the platform for online English teaching has better independent learning ability, the effectiveness of online English course teaching is better, test objects have higher satisfaction with English Online Course Teaching.展开更多

In this research, students having online classes of a practical-based fabric design subject were encouraged to self-study from Open Educational Resource (OER) materials for a further and better understanding of their subject. Additionally, online materials were developed to improve students’ understanding via skill of digital literacy. Their learning progress was evaluated and compared to the face-to-face version. The majority of students found online classes combined with self-studying OER materials, potentially be a substitute for face-to-face classes. Most of the students further opined different OER videos assisted them without any face-to-face instructions in practical works, to develop new fabric samples from the inspiration. Analysis of test results, and comparison of students’ final grades with different learning modes, supported these phenomena.展开更多

文摘The COVID-19 in now has disrupted the normal teaching schedule,but it did not stop the pace of education.Under the national call of“school suspension without suspension”.Qingdao primary school as an example,started a new learning mode of“home-schooling”,to minimum the impact of epidemic prevention and control on the teaching order.Qingdao City set the city’s famous teachers,build diacritical marks teams,create quality courses.Each school undertakes the heavy responsibility,does not show the weakness,the teacher advances the battle,displays the teacher style,discusses the new mode of online education and teaching together.
文摘Due to the impact of epidemic prevention and control,universities have organized online teaching and online learning and other online teaching activities.The purpose of online teaching is to ensure the progress and quality of teaching during epidemic prevention and control.Because of this particular situation,many college teachers are facing the unprecedented problem of online teaching.They offer online courses in a variety of ways to meet the needs of students.How to do well the effective online teaching management is very important,therefore,this article mainly aims at the pandemic situation background,carries on the research to the university online teaching management pattern.In the process of online teaching management,the author mainly found the following disadvantages,analyzed the reasons,and put forward the corresponding requirements for improvement.

文摘This paper first makes an overview of blended teaching mode,and then analyzes the impact of the epidemic on college English teaching and the necessity of carrying out online live teaching.Finally,taking the current situation of online teaching in Universities in X city as an example,this paper puts forward some suggestions on blended college English teaching based on online live teaching during the epidemic period,hoping to contribute to the improvement of teaching quality with a modest effort.
文摘This study investigates the positive and negative effects of online teaching on EFL students’learning motivation.There are 26 English majors in a Chinese university participant in this study.Data were collected from multiple sources:semi-structured interview and direct observation.The result shows that in the course aspect,it has a positive effect.In the teacher aspect,it has both negative and positive effects.But in the learning group aspect,it has a negative effect,because of losing of students’interaction.
