One of the main targets of requirement engineering is to develop a requirement document with high quality. So, we proposed a user interface to collect all vital information about the project directly from the regular user and requirement engineering; After that, the proposal will generate an ontology based on semantic relations and rules. Requirements Engineering tries to keep requirements throughout a project’s life cycle consistent necessities clear, and up to date. This prototype allows mapping requirement scenarios into ontology elements for semantically interrupted. The general points of our prototype are to guarantee the identification requirements and improved nature of the Software Requirements Specification (SRS) by solving incomplete and conflicting information in the requirements specification.展开更多

By considering application background, carefully choosing weight values, using a special formula to calculate the similarity, and clustering ontologies by similarity for getting more embedded deep relations, ACR combines the ontology similarity with the value of object and decides which object is to be replaced. We demonstrate the usefulness of ACR through experiments. (a) It is found that the aggregation tree is created wholly differently according to the application cases. Therefore, clustering can direct the content adaptation more accurately according to the user perception and can satisfy the user with different preferences. (b) After comparing this new method with widely-used algorithm Last-Recently-Used (LRU) and First-in-First-out (FIFO) method, it is found that ACR outperforms the later two in accuracy and usability. (c) It has a better semantic explanation and makes adaptation more personalized and more precise.展开更多

Among these clinical terminologies, some may possess the characteristics of one or several types of representation. This is the case for the Systematized Nomenclature of Human and Veterinary Medicine—Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT), which is both a clinical medical terminology and a formal ontology based on the principles of semantic web. Methods: We present and discuss, on one hand, the compliance of SNOMED CT with the requirements of a reference clinical terminology and, on the other hand, the specifications of the features and constructions of descriptive of SNOMED CT. Results: We demonstrate the consistency of the reference clinical terminology SNOMED CT with the principles stated in James J. Conclusions: The duality of SNOMED CT shown is crucial for understanding the versatility, depth, and scope in the health field.展开更多

While Ontology-Driven Analytic Models offer significant benefits for pension management, there are also challenges associated with implementing and utilizing the models. Developing a comprehensive and accurate ontology for pension management requires a deep understanding of the domain, including regulatory frameworks, investment strategies, retirement planning, and integration of data from heterogenous sources. Integrating these data into a cohesive ontology can be challenging. This research work leverages on semantic ontology as an approach for structured representation of knowledge about concepts and their relationships, and applies it to analyze and optimize decision support for pension management. The proposed ontology presents a formal and explicit specification of concepts (classes), their attributes, and the relationships between them and provides a shared and standardized understanding of the domain;enabling precise communication and knowledge representation for decision-support. The ontology deploys computational frameworks and analytic models to assess and evaluate data, generate insights, predict future pension fund performance as well as assess risk exposure. The research adopts the Reasoner, SPARQL query and OWL Visualizer executed over Java IDE for modelling the ontology-driven analytics. It can identify the elements corresponding to each other. At present, there are many ontology mapping algorithms, but most of them are based on database schema. After analyzing the similarity and difference of ontology and schema,we propose a parsing graph-based algorithm for ontology mapping. The ontology parsing graph (OP-graph) extends the general concept of graph, encodes logic relationship, and semantic information which the ontology contains into vertices and edges of the graph. Thus, the problem of ontology mapping is translated into a problem of finding the optimal match between the two OP-graphs. With the definition of a universal measure for comparing the entities of two ontologies,we calculate the whole similarity between the two OP-graphs iteratively, until the optimal match is found. The results of experiments show that our algorithm is promising.展开更多

The exploration of these domains for the correspondence of semantic content requires calculation of the measure of semantic similarity between concepts. Semantic similarity is a measure on a set of documents, based on the similarity of their meanings, which refers to the similarity between two concepts belonging to one or more ontologies. The similarity between concepts is also a quantitative measure of information, calculated based on the properties of concepts and their relationships. This study proposes a method for finding similarity between concepts in two different ontologies based on feature, information content and structure. More specifically, this means proposing a hybrid method using two existing measures to find the similarity between two concepts from different ontologies based on information content and the set of common superconcepts, which represents the set of common parent concepts. We simulated our method on datasets. The results show that our measure provides similarity values that are better than those reported in the literature.展开更多
