With the development of artificial intelligence(AI)technologies,biomedical imaging data play an important role in scientific research and clinical application,but the available resources are limited.Here we present Op...With the development of artificial intelligence(AI)technologies,biomedical imaging data play an important role in scientific research and clinical application,but the available resources are limited.Here we present Open Biomedical Imaging Archive(OBIA),a repository for archiving biomedical imaging and related clinical data.OBIA adopts five data objects(Collection,Individual,Study,Series,and Image)for data organization,and accepts the submission of biomedical images of multiple modalities,organs,and diseases.In order to protect personal privacy,OBIA has formulated a unified de-identification and quality control process.In addition,OBIA provides friendly and intuitive web interfaces for data submission,browsing,and retrieval,as well as image retrieval.As of September 2023,OBIA has housed data for a total of 937 individuals,4136 studies,24,701 series,and 1,938,309 images covering 9 modalities and 30 anatomical sites.Collectively,OBIA provides a reliable platform for biomedical imaging data management and offers free open access to all publicly available data to support research activities throughout the world.OBIA can be accessed at https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/obia.展开更多
With the objective of reducing the large uncertainties in the estimations of emissions from crop residue open burning, an improved method for establishing emission inventories of crop residue open burning at a high sp...With the objective of reducing the large uncertainties in the estimations of emissions from crop residue open burning, an improved method for establishing emission inventories of crop residue open burning at a high spatial resolution of 0.25°× 0.25° and a temporal resolution of1 month was established based on the moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) Thermal Anomalies/Fire Daily Level3 Global Product(MOD/MYD14A1). Agriculture mechanization ratios and regional crop-specific grain-to-straw ratios were introduced to improve the accuracy of related activity data. Locally observed emission factors were used to calculate the primary pollutant emissions. MODIS satellite data were modified by combining them with county-level agricultural statistical data, which reduced the influence of missing fire counts caused by their small size and cloud cover. The annual emissions of CO2, CO, CH4,nonmethane volatile organic compounds(NMVOCs), N2O, NOx, NH3, SO2, fine particles(PM2.5),organic carbon(OC), and black carbon(BC) were 150.40, 6.70, 0.51, 0.88, 0.01, 0.13, 0.07, 0.43,1.09, 0.34, and 0.06 Tg, respectively, in 2012. Crop residue open burning emissions displayed typical seasonal and spatial variation. The highest emission regions were the Yellow-Huai River and Yangtse-Huai River areas, and the monthly emissions were highest in June(37%).Uncertainties in the emission estimates, measured as 95% confidence intervals, range from a low of within ±126% for N2O to a high of within ± 169% for NH3.展开更多

This stood out among many separated variable problems posed by Davenport,Lewis and Schinzel.By bounding the degrees,but expanding the maps and variables in Davenport's Problem,Galois stratification enhanced the separated variable theme,solving an Ax and Kochen problem from their Artin Conjecture work.Denef and Loeser applied this to add Chow motive coefficients to previously introduced zeta functions on a diophantine statement.By restricting the variables,but leaving the degrees unbounded,we found the striking distinction between Davenport's problem over Q,solved by applying the Branch Cycle Lemma,and its generalization over any number field,solved by using the simple group classification.This encouraged Thompson to formulate the genus 0 problem on rational function monodromy groups.Guralnick and Thompson led its solution in stages.We look at two developments since the solution of Davenport's problem.Stemming from MacCluer's 1967 thesis,identifying a general class of problems,including Davenport's,as monodromy precise.R(iemann)E(xistence)T(heorem)'s role as a converse to problems generalizing Davenport's,and Schinzel's (on reducibility).We use these to consider:Going beyond the simple group classification to handle imprimitive groups,and what is the role of covers and correspondences in going from algebraic equations to zeta functions with Chow motive coefficients.展开更多
