This paper proposes a novel open set recognition method,the Spatial Distribution Feature Extraction Network(SDFEN),to address the problem of electromagnetic signal recognition in an open environment.The spatial distri...This paper proposes a novel open set recognition method,the Spatial Distribution Feature Extraction Network(SDFEN),to address the problem of electromagnetic signal recognition in an open environment.The spatial distribution feature extraction layer in SDFEN replaces convolutional output neural networks with the spatial distribution features that focus more on inter-sample information by incorporating class center vectors.The designed hybrid loss function considers both intra-class distance and inter-class distance,thereby enhancing the similarity among samples of the same class and increasing the dissimilarity between samples of different classes during training.Consequently,this method allows unknown classes to occupy a larger space in the feature space.This reduces the possibility of overlap with known class samples and makes the boundaries between known and unknown samples more distinct.Additionally,the feature comparator threshold can be used to reject unknown samples.For signal open set recognition,seven methods,including the proposed method,are applied to two kinds of electromagnetic signal data:modulation signal and real-world emitter.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the other six methods overall in a simulated open environment.Specifically,compared to the state-of-the-art Openmax method,the novel method achieves up to 8.87%and 5.25%higher micro-F-measures,respectively.展开更多

Therefore, the real rough sets space can be investigated directly. A rhombus neighborhood for SOM is proposed, and the combination of SOM and rough sets theory is explored. According to the distance between the weight of winner node and the input vector in the real rough sets space, new weight learning rules are defined. The modified method makes the classification of the output of SOM clearer and the intervals of different classes larger. To improve the recognition ability of communication jamming signals,Siamese Neural Network-based Open World Recognition(SNNOWR)is proposed.The algorithm can recognize known jamming classes,detect new(unknown)jamming c...To improve the recognition ability of communication jamming signals,Siamese Neural Network-based Open World Recognition(SNNOWR)is proposed.The algorithm can recognize known jamming classes,detect new(unknown)jamming classes,and unsupervised cluseter new classes.The network of SNN-OWR is trained supervised with paired input data consisting of two samples from a known dataset.On the one hand,the network is required to have the ability to distinguish whether two samples are from the same class.On the other hand,the latent distribution of known class is forced to approach their own unique Gaussian distribution,which is prepared for the subsequent open set testing.During the test,the unknown class detection process based on Gaussian probability density function threshold is designed,and an unsupervised clustering algorithm of the unknown jamming is realized by using the prior knowledge of known classes.The simulation results show that when the jamming-to-noise ratio is more than 0d B,the accuracy of SNN-OWR algorithm for known jamming classes recognition,unknown jamming detection and unsupervised clustering of unknown jamming is about 95%.This indicates that the SNN-OWR algorithm can make the effect of the recognition of unknown jamming be almost the same as that of known jamming.展开更多
In the digital age,non-touch communication technologies are reshaping human-device interactions and raising security concerns.A major challenge in current technology is the misinterpretation of gestures by sensors and...In the digital age,non-touch communication technologies are reshaping human-device interactions and raising security concerns.A major challenge in current technology is the misinterpretation of gestures by sensors and cameras,often caused by environmental factors.This issue has spurred the need for advanced data processing methods to achieve more accurate gesture recognition and predictions.Our study presents a novel virtual keyboard allowing character input via distinct hand gestures,focusing on two key aspects:hand gesture recognition and character input mechanisms.We developed a novel model with LSTM and fully connected layers for enhanced sequential data processing and hand gesture recognition.We also integrated CNN,max-pooling,and dropout layers for improved spatial feature extraction.This model architecture processes both temporal and spatial aspects of hand gestures,using LSTM to extract complex patterns from frame sequences for a comprehensive understanding of input data.Our unique dataset,essential for training the model,includes 1,662 landmarks from dynamic hand gestures,33 postures,and 468 face landmarks,all captured in real-time using advanced pose estimation.The model demonstrated high accuracy,achieving 98.52%in hand gesture recognition and over 97%in character input across different scenarios.Its excellent performance in real-time testing underlines its practicality and effectiveness,marking a significant advancement in enhancing human-device interactions in the digital age.展开更多

This paper innovates as it proposes a deep learning and set-based approach to face recognition subject to aging. The images for each subject taken at various times are treated as a single set, which is then compared to sets of images belonging to other subjects. Facial features are extracted using a convolutional neural network characteristic of deep learning. Our experimental results show that set-based recognition performs better than the singleton-based approach for both face identification and face verification. We also find that by using set-based recognition, it is easier to recognize older subjects from younger ones rather than younger subjects from older ones.展开更多

Recognition of substrates in cobalt crust mining areas can improve mining efficiency.Aiming at the problem of unsatisfactory performance of using single feature to recognize the seabed material of the cobalt crust min...Recognition of substrates in cobalt crust mining areas can improve mining efficiency.Aiming at the problem of unsatisfactory performance of using single feature to recognize the seabed material of the cobalt crust mining area,a method based on multiple-feature sets is proposed.Features of the target echoes are extracted by linear prediction method and wavelet analysis methods,and the linear prediction coefficient and linear prediction cepstrum coefficient are also extracted.Meanwhile,the characteristic matrices of modulus maxima,sub-band energy and multi-resolution singular spectrum entropy are obtained,respectively.The resulting features are subsequently compressed by kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(KFDA),the output features are selected using genetic algorithm(GA)to obtain optimal feature subsets,and recognition results of classifier are chosen as genetic fitness function.The advantages of this method are that it can describe the signal features more comprehensively and select the favorable features and remove the redundant features to the greatest extent.The experimental results show the better performance of the proposed method in comparison with only using KFDA or GA.展开更多

The hand gesture region is extracted, and the relative normalization images are obtained by interpolation operation. To solve the proem of hand gesture recognition, Fuzzy-Rough based nearest neighbour(RNN) algorithm is applied for classification. For avoiding the costly compute, an improved nearest neighbour classification algorithm based on fuzzy-rough set theory (FRNNC) is proposed. The algorithm employs the represented cluster points instead of the whole training samples, and takes the hand gesture data's fuzziness and the roughness into account, so the campute spending is decreased and the recognition rate is increased. The 30 gestures in Chinese sign language alphabet are used for approving the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The recognition rate is 94.96%, which is better than that of KNN (K nearest neighbor)and Fuzzy- KNN (Fuzzy K nearest neighbor).展开更多

Training ing samples are used to set up fuzzy set and membership functions. The existing way of fish ontology formation can be integrated with the new method and the existing work for fish web can be used.
文摘The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notions of <em>m</em>-asymmetric semiopen sets and <em>M</em>-asymmetric semicontinuous multifunctions defined between asymmetric sets satisfying certain minimal conditions in the framework of bitopological spaces. Some new characterizations of <em>m</em>-asymmetric semiopen sets and <em>M</em>-asymmetric semicontinuous multifunctions will be investigated and several fundamental properties will be obtained.
文摘The trained Gaussian mixture model is used to make skincolour segmentation for the input image sequences. The hand gesture region is extracted, and the relative normalization images are obtained by interpolation operation. To solve the proem of hand gesture recognition, Fuzzy-Rough based nearest neighbour(RNN) algorithm is applied for classification. For avoiding the costly compute, an improved nearest neighbour classification algorithm based on fuzzy-rough set theory (FRNNC) is proposed. The algorithm employs the represented cluster points instead of the whole training samples, and takes the hand gesture data's fuzziness and the roughness into account, so the campute spending is decreased and the recognition rate is increased. The 30 gestures in Chinese sign language alphabet are used for approving the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The recognition rate is 94.96%, which is better than that of KNN (K nearest neighbor)and Fuzzy- KNN (Fuzzy K nearest neighbor).
