In the face of fierce market competition,enterprises must ensure the competitiveness of their products or services through technological innovation.However,the complexity of technology often surpasses the capabilities of individual enterprises,leading them to deepen cooperation with other organizations.The entities within the enterprise innovation ecosystem depend on each other,collaborate closely,and rely on core enterprises to integrate resources,thereby creating system value and enhancing competitiveness.The purpose of this paper is to explore the process of selecting appropriate ecosystem partners.It begins by providing an overview of relevant concepts,characteristics,selection factors,and methods.Subsequently,it analyzes the roles,resources,and synergy evolution of the entities within the ecosystem.An evaluation system encompassing operation,core,synergy,and development capability is then established.This system comprises 16 indicators,including organization scale and reputation,and is accompanied by a hierarchical evaluation model.Finally,the validity of the evaluation system is confirmed through empirical analysis,utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. 展开更多

The aim of the paper is to identify and explore leading thematic areas within the research field related to innovation ecosystem.Based on data from the Web of Science database,the keywords frequency and its co-occurrence frequency pair were analyzed,and the theory of mapping knowledge domains was used to visualize the keywords co-occurrence network in innovation ecosystem to make further research of the heated issues.The findings indicate that the research scope involved in innovation ecosystem research is broad,and research content focus on micro and macro levels.According to the results of keywords co-occurrence analysis of different stages,innovation,network,knowledge,strategy,open innovation,value creation are the most important issues to innovation ecosystem research,given their position and role in the research network.The paper generates the added value mainly from the point of view of theory development. 展开更多

Balancing medical innovation and affordability in the new healthcare ecosystem in China:Review of pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement policies

The China Basic Medical Insurance Program was created in 1999 with three objectives:equal accessibility,affordability,and quality.Today,it has become the biggest medical insurance program in the world,covering 95%of China's population.Since 2015,China's healthcare ecosystem has been reshaped by increasing innovation,which has in turn been driven by regulatory reform,enhancement of research and development capability,and capital market development.There has also been improved regulatory efficiency to reduce lags in launching drugs.In 2022,nearly 20%of novel active substances launched globally were from China.China has also risen to become the second biggest contributor to innovation in terms of pipelines.Using a“fast-follow”strategy,many locally developed innovative drugs can compete with products from multinational companies in their quality and pricing.However,China's pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry will continue to face challenges in pricing and reimbursement,as well as a shortened product lifecycle with rapid price erosion.The government has already accelerated the timeline for updating the drug reimbursement list and is willing to create a high-quality medical insurance program.However,some obstacles are hard to overcome,including reimbursement for advanced therapies,limited funding and an increasing burden of disease due to an aging population.This article reviews the trajectory of medical innovation in China,including the challenges.Looking forward,balancing affordability and innovation will be critical for China to continue the trajectory of growth.The article also offers some suggestions for future policy reform,including optimizing reimbursement efficiency with a focus on highquality solutions,enhancing the value assessment framework,payer repositioning from“value buyer”to“strategic buyer”,and developing alternative market access pathways for innovative drugs. 展开更多

With the rapid development of Open-Source(OS),more and more software projects are maintained and developed in the form of OS.These Open-Source projects depend on and influence each other,gradually forming a huge OS project network,namely an Open-Source Software ECOsystem(OSSECO).Unfortunately,not all OS projects in the open-source ecosystem can be healthy and stable in the long term,and more projects will go from active to inactive and gradually die.In a tightly connected ecosystem,the death of one project can potentially cause the collapse of the entire ecosystem network.How can we effectively prevent such situations from happening?In this paper,we first identify the basic project characteristics that affect the survival of OS projects at both project and ecosystem levels through the proportional hazards model.Then,we utilize graph convolutional networks based on the ecosystem network to extract the ecosystem environment characteristics of OS projects.Finally,we fuse basic project characteristics and environmental project characteristics and construct a Hybrid Structured Prediction Model(HSPM)to predict the OS project survival state.The experimental results show that HSPM significantly improved compared to the traditional prediction model.Our work can substantially assist OS project managers in maintaining their projects’health.It can also provide an essential reference for developers when choosing the right open-source project for their production activities. 展开更多

Water provides the origin of human survival and prosperity,and the basic resource for the maintenance of terrestrial eco-systems,their biodiversity,productivity and ecological services.With China’s recent,rapid growth both in population and economic development,the water shortage has become one of the most constraints on its ecological restoration and socio-economic development,especially in the arid inland regions of northwest China.At first glance,this water shortage in China appears to be a resource crisis.But second,an in-depth analysis reveals that the water shortage crisis arises mainly resulting from the poor water management system and operating mechanism that cannot facilitate fair allocation and efficient utilization of water resources both regionally and nationally and thus is viewed as a crisis of water manage-ment.The solution of China’s water shortage and low-efficient utilization problem will,in particular,require a fundamen-tal and substantial reform or innovation of the existing water management system and operating mechanism.In this paper,we address explicitly the problems existed in the current water management system,explore the basic theory of water re-sources management and provide some insights into the way how to establish a river basin based integrated water re-sources management system in China. 展开更多

Despite many initiatives to help foster innovation over the last decade,Bahrain has yet to realise its full potential,indicated by low levels of published research,patent registrations,and entrepreneurial activities.The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of sustainable innovation for economic recovery.This study aimed to identify the critical factors needed to stimulate innovation,as well as any barriers.Using a case study approach,emerging findings from an online survey of participants from a range of private and government organizations were explored through in-depth interviews with selected"innovation influencers".It was found that the economic and cultural environments in Bahrain favor a conservative approach to innovation,with the opening of new market opportunities with existing products the most reported form applied.The need for a sustainable economic recovery post-pandemic has raised awareness of the importance of innovation in all its forms.The environmental factors influencing innovation are charted in an ecosystem model,with effective leadership and a national strategy identified as key components.The Innovation Ecosystem derived from this case study of Bahrain has wider applicability as a benchmarking framework.By mapping the local context against framework elements,identified gaps can usefully inform a sustainable innovation strategy at both a national and organizational level. 展开更多

Evaluating the resilience of the innovation ecosystem to maintain its performance,in the sense of resistance to disruption and recovery after it,has recently received more attention.Several studies have been conducted to model different ecosystems and evaluate their resilience.However,modeling the innovation ecosystem from a holistic perspective and performing a quantitative assessment of its resilience have received less attention.This paper models the innovation ecosystem holistically and evaluates its resilience index using a quantitative approach through five main steps.In the first step,a case study related to the innovation ecosystem of Iran's Ministry of Energy,called the Power Innovation Ecosystem,is modeled by combining system dynamics and agent-based modeling.Upon validating the model in the second step,the disruption of the loss of experts is investigated in the third step,and all possible actions to recover each actor are analyzed.In the fourth step,the performance of the ecosystem is simulated before and after the disruption using the data gathered in the previous steps.Finally,resilience is calculated in two different ways in the fifth step.Several improvement solutions are also suggested when considering that the resilience index of the innovation ecosystem is at a medium level.This research may assist policymakers in observing the resilience level of the innovation ecosystem based on the proposed model.By applying strategic changes to this model,they can determine the effects of their policies and make the most appropriate decisions to increase the resilience of the innovation ecosystem. 展开更多

Based on the theories of business ecosystem and national innovation system, this paper proposes a concept of industrial ecosystem. Differ from ecologists and environmentalists who regard industrial ecosystem as the natural ecosystems in which material, energy and information circulates, this paper defines industrial ecosystem as a set of factors that are vital to the development of a certain industry and their interrelationship. The industrial ecosystem consists of three sub-systems that are innovation ecosystem, production ecosystem, and application ecosystem, and subsidiary factors that include factor supply, infrastructure, socio-cultural environment, international environment and policy system. The industrial ecosystem is characterized by interdependencies, complex interactions, self-recovery and co-evolution. The development of an industry is' the result of the reaction of the whole industrial ecosystem; therefore, the competition in strategic emerging industries among countries is in essence the competition in industrial ecosystems. Those countries which are able to take the lead in setting up complete industrial ecosystem will occupy advantage in developing strategic emerging industries. Software productivity has always been one of the most critical metrics for measuring software development.However,with the open-source community(e.g.,GitHub),new software development models are emerging.The traditional productivity metrics do not provide a comprehensive measure of the new software development models.Therefore,it is necessary to build a productivity measurement model of open source software ecosystem suitable for the open-source community’s production activities.Based on the natural ecosystem,this paper proposes concepts related to the productivity of open source software ecosystems,analyses influencing factors of open source software ecosystem productivity,and constructs a measurement model using these factors.Model validation experiments show that the model is compatible with a large portion of open source software ecosystems in GitHub.This study can provide references for participants of the open-source software ecosystem to choose proper types of ecosystems.The study also provides a basis for ecosystem health assessment for researchers interested in ecosystem quality. 展开更多

This integration happens through components and third-party developers networks in Software Ecosystems (SECOs). Since systems and software development processes present challenges beyond the technical side, SECOs have emerged as an approach to improve the Software Engineering (SE) mindset in the industry. This fact changes the software industry as it requires the management of an integrated social-based environment to support a transition from an intra-organizational to an open business model approach towards a SECO approach. In this context, social networks can be important to coordinate a collaborative and distributed environment to develop SECOs platforms. This paper analyses the impact of social networks in SECOs through an integrated framework of the SECO and social network challenges. This study aimed to evaluate the components of a fintech ecosystem for distributed energy investments.A new decision-making model was created using multiple stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis and elimination and choice translating reality techniques based on quantum spherical fuzzy sets.First,in this model,the criteria for distributed energy investment necessities were weighted.Second,we ranked the components of the fintech ecosystem for distributed energy investments.The main contribution of this study is that appropriate strategies can be presented to design effective fintech ecosystems to increase distributed energy investments,by considering an original fuzzy decision-making model.Capacity is the most critical issue with respect to distributed energy investment necessities because it has the greatest weight(0.261).Pricing is another significant factor for this condition,with a weight of 0.254.Results of the ranking of the components of the fintech ecosystem indicate that end users are of the greatest importance for the effectiveness of this system.It is necessary to develop new techniques for the energy storage process,especially with technological developments,to prevent disruptions in energy production capacity.In addition,customers’expectations should be considered for the development of effective and user-friendly financial products that are preferred by a wider audience.This would have a positive effect on fintech ecosystem performance. 展开更多

加快推动中小企业数字化转型是数字经济发展的重要基础。由于缺乏足够的技术与资源,中小企业数字化转型需依附第三方数字平台完成产品体系、组织结构、业务流程的改造,进而降低成本、提升效率。其数字化转型过程为企业层面的数字技术部... 加快推动中小企业数字化转型是数字经济发展的重要基础。由于缺乏足够的技术与资源,中小企业数字化转型需依附第三方数字平台完成产品体系、组织结构、业务流程的改造,进而降低成本、提升效率。其数字化转型过程为企业层面的数字技术部分采用、行业层面的数字技术整体融合以及生态层面的数字技术共生发展。但中小企业在数字化转型过程中,还面临数字意识薄弱、转型能力不足、转型资源受限、转型数据欠缺、转型成本过高等诸多困境。中小企业要立足推动数字经济发展的战略要求,从培养动态管理能力、运用轻体量数字平台、提升组织使用信息技术的能力、获得政府外部帮扶及支持等方面创新路径,推动数字化转型。 展开更多
