Let m ≥ 1 be an integer,1 〈 β ≤ m + 1.A sequence ε1ε2ε3 … with εi ∈{0,1,…,m} is called a β-expansion of a real number x if x = Σi εi/βi.It is known that when the base β is smaller than the generalized golden ration,any number has uncountably many expansions,while when β is larger,there are numbers which has unique expansion.In this paper,we consider the bases such that there is some number whose unique expansion is purely periodic with the given smallest period.We prove that such bases form an open interval,moreover,any two such open intervals have inclusion relationship according to the Sharkovskii ordering between the given minimal periods.We remark that our result answers an open question posed by Baker,and the proof for the case m = 1 is due to Allouche,Clarke and Sidorov. 展开更多

Efficient Fault Tree Analysis of Complex Fault Tolerant Multiple-Phased Systems 被引量:2

Fault tolerant multiple phased systems (FTMPS), i.e., systems whose critical components are independently replicated and whose operational life can be partitioned in a set of disjoint periods, are called 'phases'. Because of their deployment in critical applications, their reliability analysis is a task of primary relevance to validate the designs. Fault tree analysis based on binary decision diagram (BDD) is one of the most commonly used techniques for FTMPS reliability analysis. To utilize the technique the fault tree structure of FTMPS needs to be converted into the corresponding BDD format. Our research work shows that the system BDD generation algorithms presented in the literature are too inefficient to be used for industrial complex FTPMS because of the problems, such as variable ordering and combination of large BDDs. This paper presents a more efficient approach consisting of a flatting pre-processing technique, a proved efficient ordering heuristic and a bottom-up generation algorithm. The approach tries to combine share-variable BDDs by complex combination operation firstly and then combine no-share-variable BDDs using simple combination operation, thus to alvoid the intensive computations caused by large BDD combination operations. An example FTMPS is analyzed to illustrate the advantages of our approach. 展开更多

An amphiphilic fluorescent probe, 3-dodecylamino dihydrogen imidazo[2,l-a]benz[de]isoquinolin-7-one (compound 3), was used to sense the aggregate formation process of bovine serum albumine (BSA), sodium dode- cyl sulfate (SDS) and their mixed system. The fluorescence intensity of 3 was significantly affected by the adding order of SDS and BSA, and SDS can be distinguished from other surfactants with the aid of BSA, but only when 3 is allowed to interact with BSA first. The results revealed that compound 3 is preferentially sited in the hydrophobic region of BSA, and thermodynamically in SDS-BSA mixed aggregate. Sodium phosphate buffer solution (PBS) and BSA played important but distinct roles in distinguishing SDS micelle from the others. 展开更多
