This paper analyzes how artificial intelligence (AI) automation can improve warehouse management compared to emerging technologies like drone usage. Specifically, we evaluate AI’s impact on crucial warehouse functions—inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and logistics efficiency. Our findings indicate AI automation enables real-time inventory visibility, optimized picking routes, and dynamic delivery scheduling, which drones cannot match. AI better leverages data insights for intelligent decision-making across warehouse operations, supporting improved productivity and lower operating costs.

Cross-border issues and technology and management solutions during COVID-19

Critical cross-border issues have emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic,especially pertaining to security,supply chain,and education,which has led to several new challenges for management.The balance between potential risks and economic benefits has attracted the attention of both industry and academia.Hence,we invited three panelists to participate in the 2021 Association for Information Systems(AIS)Special Interest Group(SIG)on Information Systems in Asia Pacific(ISAP)workshop.The suggested solutions include the right Internet approach,multi-national cooperation to develop flexible global operations,and people’s education(especially refugees)to mitigate risks.These solutions encompass three levels,i.e.,technology,management,and society.

Optimal Higher-order Dispersion Management Methods in WDM Transmission Systems

In order to reduce the four-wave mixing crosstalk and avoid the signal waveform distortion in long-haul dense-wavelength division multiplexing systems,helpful methods on how to choose suitable local parameters in higher-order dispersion managed line are presented, which are used to increase the system capacity and improve the system performances.

The Relationship Between Cross-Cultural Conflict Management Levels and Employee Organizational Performance in Cross-Border E-Commerce Corporations in China

This research focuses on the cross-cultural conflict management of cross-border e-commerce corporations in companies on employee organizational performance under conflict management such as power distance conflict,individualism,long-term orientation,indulgence and avoidance of uncertainty as the independent variables and employee organizational performance such as quality,efficiency,and profitability of organizational tasks as the dependent variable.With the advancement of China’s reform and opening up and the implementation of the“One Belt,One Road”strategy,the globalized economy has penetrated into various countries and regions.China trade exchanges with other countries have become more frequent,and have also set up branch factories and branches abroad.However,there are certain differences between the branch company and the domestic culture in the actual operation process.If the cross-border e-commerce corporations cannot handle these contradictions and differences well,the company may face difficulties such as cultural conflicts.For this reason,this paper makes a deep analysis of this,taking the cross-border e-commerce corporations in Guangxi as an example,and points out the problems existing in cross-cultural management in this region and putting forward personal opinions and solutions to related problems,and putting forward feasible solutions,enhances the understanding of involving conceptualizations of cross-cultural communication conflict and its management in the frame of cross-cultural conflicts management theory and provides references for the formulation of cultural conflict management measures for cross-border e-commerce corporations.So that enterprises can gain a firm foothold in the international market competition,enrich and enhance their soft power,and enhance their international status in the development of multinational regions.The result of this research will not only answer existing research questions,but also introduce new ideas and new questions for future research.

The Effect of Performance Management System on Employee Productivity in Cross-Border E-Commerce Enterprises in China

The aim of the current research was to analyze how the performance management system of China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises affects employee productivity.The study was guided by the following research objectives:to investigate the performance management system on employee productivity in cross-border e-commerce enterprises in China;to determine the relationship between the performance management system and employee productivity in cross-border e-commerce enterprises in China.The study adopted a quantitative approach to the effects of performance management practices on employee productivity.The dependent variables included performance appraisals,reward systems,and performance feedback,and the implications on employee productivity as the independent variable.The target population is comprised of 400 employees in China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises.Descriptive statistics were utilized as a data analysis tool.The demographic profiles of the respondents were analyzed using percentages and frequencies.Inferential statistics such as correlation and regression analysis established the relationship between dependent and independent variables.The study recommends that the performance management practices should be optimized to improve employee performance.Performance reviews should be focused on the contributions of the individual employees to meet the organizational objectives.For every possible opportunity,the manager should formally recognize good employee efforts for enhanced work performance.Effective performance management practices that edify appraisal and reward should be used to achieve organization goals and enhance employee productivity.

Autism spectrum disorder:Review of literature and dental management

With an increase in the number of cases of autism spectrum disorder(ASD),dental professionals need to be aware of the different techniques required to ensure safe dental treatments for affected patients. The concerns and preferences of the parents and the medical and dental history of each patient should be considered. The aim of this article was to provide a comprehensive update on the medical and dental health of patients with ASD. A detailed search of the electronic database PubMed/Medline/Lilacs was performed for the terms"Autism", "Autistic", "Autism Spectrum Disorder", "ASD", "Dentistry" and"Dentist", in the period between 2006 and 2017. Systemic reviews, research articles, and literature reviews were included. Expert opinions, case series, and case reports were excluded from the search. A detailed family-centered approach based on the preferences and concerns of parents is an important foundation for appropriate individualized dental treatment of patients with ASD. In addition,the knowledge of disruptive behaviors and patient′s challenges may guide dental practitioners in improving treatment planning, oral management, and the overall oral health of patients with ASD.

Analyzing the Construction of the International Logistics Supply Chain Management Model from the Perspective of Cross-Border E-commerce

Cross-border e-commerce has progressively evolved with the deepening of economic globalization,and it now holds a significant place in the field of e-commerce.However,due to China’s late entry into the international logistics supply chain,there are issues such as complex environment,uneven information technology,and disagreements on standards,resulting in certain cross-border e-commerce disadvantages in China.Therefore,in this context,this study analyzes the construction of international logistics supply chain management model from the perspective of cross-border e-commerce,so as to provide some reference for the development of China’s international logistics supply chain.

Tourist management in national parks in the Czech-German borderland:Bohemian ’Switzerland’ and Saxon‘Switzerland’

In the article tourist management in two national parks in the Czech-German borderland are being compared,namely Bohemian ’Switzerland’(also known as Czech ’Switzerland’) and Saxon’Switzerland’.Situated on either side of the state border,they feature the same type of geographical environment.Transport accessibility,transborder links and the hiking trail network are analyzed using methodology sourced from graph theory.The result of the analyses is a classification of tourist hubs and tourist centers,as well as an indication of the main directions of tourist flow.The German national park is decidedly more accessible but with a detrimental effect on the natural environment primarily due to its fragmentation by a dense network of tourist trails.In both parks trails enter the core zone(in theory a strict protection area) but this occurs on a larger scale on the German side.In the Czech national park a greater number of positive examples of managing tourist movements can be identified.Additionally,larger areas managed for dispersion,or from which tourists are generally excluded,are located there.

Tourism management in national parks:Sumava and Bayerischer Wald(Bavarian Forest)in the Czech-German borderland

Along the Czech-German border there are four national parks,two Czech and two German,arranged in cross-border‘pairs’.This article focuses on the southern‘pair’formed by the parks of?umava and Bayerischer Wald(Bavarian Forest).The aim is to evaluate and compare tourism organization in their areas,taking into account selected aspects of management:the network of hiking trails with its related infrastructure,transport accessibility,a typology of tourist centers,as well as directions and destinations of tourist movements.Based on the results,it can be concluded that the availability of geographical space for tourists is much greater in the German than in the Czech national park,and the tourism infrastructure is clearly more extensive there,including the network of tourist trails.This is mainly due to the longer and fairly uninterrupted development of tourism in this area.?umava National Park can be identified as a model in terms of how to adjust the directions of tourist movements and the layout of the tourist trail network to the needs of natural environment.On the basis of observations in both national parks,it is possible to indicate various solutions that,after appropriate adaptation,may bring benefits to other protected areas.

Survey of the management of borderline ovarian tumors in the United Kingdom

Borderline ovarian tumors （BOTs） represent approxi-mately 10% of ovarian neoplasms and are a heteroge-neous group of tumors with variable biological behav-iour. The majority present with disease confned to the ovary and have an excellent prognosis after surgical removal. A small proportion subsequently has recur-rent disease or progression to invasive cancer. Tumor recurrence can occur up to 20 years after surgical resection. There are no robust clinical, histological or molecular markers that distinguish high risk cases and no satisfactory treatment for patients with progressive disease. This results in great variability in management in different centres. We conducted a national survey on the management of borderline ovarian tumors in cancer centres representing different regions in the United Kingdom. In this article we review the literature for the current concepts in diagnosis, treatment and follow up of BOTs and we report the results of the survey of current practice in the United Kingdom. On that basis we provide recommendations for the management of patients with BOTs.

Establishment of Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment and Whole-Course Management Model of Major Depressive Disorder

Integrated diagnosis,treatment and whole-course management model of major depressive disorder(MDD)is an integrated drug-psychological-physical comprehensive treatment model based on rapid biological-psychological-social evaluation for treating patients with major depressive disorder.This paper comprehensively evaluates the clinical efficacy and biochemical indexes of patients,and carries out symptom evaluation,problem classification,disease diagnosis and etiological analysis of visitors from the three dimensions about physiology,psychology and society.Then,according to the symptoms and causes of different dimensions,this paper formulates personalized drug,psychological and physical therapy programs,and constantly optimizes and adjusts the treatment plan in the treatment process,so as to cure both the symptoms and the root causes,providing a reliable strategy for the treatment of clinical MDD,and establishing a standardized characteristic model for further promotion and application of this technology.At present,the project has been used in the member units of Taihe Medical Group and Shiyan City and its surrounding areas,the market response is good,and will be gradually promoted to the whole country in the later stage.

Development of Pull Strategies in Production Management in Order to Increase Efficiency of Manufacturing Enterprise

The article deals with possible approaches to the management of manufacturing organizations. The authors emphasize the need for integration of lean management with eco-innovation. This integration represents a sustainable development so that environmental impacts are reduced, more effective use of natural resources is achieved and production costs are reduced. Manufacturing organizations based on that approach must use so-called pull production control systems. Pull systems are most often presented in production management system--Kanban. This article also deals with specification of these systems and the development of pull strategies in production management in order to increase efficiency of manufacturing enterprise.

A case presentation indicating the importance of “happiness” in childhood causing memory block until the patent presented with probable mixed vascular and neurodegenerative memory loss at 60 years of age is presented to highlight the role of emotional factors in causing the disease. The question of whether Alzheimer’s disease is an adaptability disorder is raised, given the patient blocked out her memory of her childhood experience. The importance of “happiness” as a treatment goal raises issues of advocacy and Guardianship as well as capacity, which is addressed by actual case reference and court action in defence of the patient’s rights to have their wishes respected and observed. Functional mental capacity assessment, using the Functional Mental State Measure (FMSM) gives a greater indication of neuronal reserve than standard cognitive testing, as it helps to unravel the dilemma associated with pure cognitive assessment in Alzheimer’s Disease as well as vascular dementia patients and patients who, despite retained and intact functional capacity and ability to express their wishes, i.e. “best interest”, are “wrongly” placed under Guardianship. A General Systems approach, which recognises functional interaction as optimal and withdrawal or inadequate and/or inappropriate response as not, provides further understanding of the relationship between emotional factors, memory and neurodegenerative (Alzheimer’s) disease.

Imperative for long-term management and surveillance in Kawasaki disease

Kawasaki disease(KD)is a significant pediatric vasculitis known for its potential to cause severe coronary artery complications.Despite the effectiveness of initial treatments,such as intravenous immunoglobulin,KD patients can experience long-term cardiovascular issues,as evidenced by a recent case report of an adult who suffered a ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction due to previous KD in the World Journal of Clinical Cases.This editorial emphasizes the critical need for long-term management and regular surveillance to prevent such complications.By drawing on recent research and case studies,we advocate for a structured approach to follow-up care that includes routine cardiac evaluations and preventive measures.

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the study by Hou et al,focusing on the complex interplay between psychological and physical factors in the postoperative recovery(POR)of patients with perianal diseases.The study sheds light on how illness perception,anxiety,and depression significantly influence recovery outcomes.Hou et al developed a predictive model that demonstrated high accuracy in identifying patients at risk of poor recovery.The article explores the critical role of pre-operative psychological assessment,highlighting the need for mental health support and personalized recovery plans in enhancing POR quality.A multidisciplinary approach,integrating mental health professionals with surgeons,anesthesiologists,and other specialists,is emphasized to ensure comprehensive care for patients.The study’s findings serve as a call to integrate psychological care into surgical practice to optimize outcomes for patients with perianal diseases.

Solid Waste Management:A MADM Approach Using Fuzzy Parameterized Possibility Single-Valued Neutrosophic Hypersoft Expert Settings

The dramatic rise in the number of people living in cities has made many environmental and social problems worse.The search for a productive method for disposing of solid waste is the most notable of these problems.Many scholars have referred to it as a fuzzy multi-attribute or multi-criteria decision-making problem using various fuzzy set-like approaches because of the inclusion of criteria and anticipated ambiguity.The goal of the current study is to use an innovative methodology to address the expected uncertainties in the problem of solid waste site selection.The characteristics(or sub-attributes)that decision-makers select and the degree of approximation they accept for various options can both be indicators of these uncertainties.To tackle these problems,a novel mathematical structure known as the fuzzy parameterized possibility single valued neutrosophic hypersoft expert set(ρˆ-set),which is initially described,is integrated with a modified version of Sanchez’s method.Following this,an intelligent algorithm is suggested.The steps of the suggested algorithm are explained with an example that explains itself.The compatibility of solid waste management sites and systems is discussed,and rankings are established along with detailed justifications for their viability.This study’s strengths lie in its application of fuzzy parameterization and possibility grading to effectively handle the uncertainties embodied in the parameters’nature and alternative approximations,respectively.It uses specific mathematical formulations to compute the fuzzy parameterized degrees and possibility grades that are missing from the prior literature.It is simpler for the decisionmakers to look at each option separately because the decision is uncertain.Comparing the computed results,it is discovered that they are consistent and dependable because of their preferred properties.

Addressing functional constipation in children:A call for comprehensive and collaborative management

Functional constipation(FC)is the most common gastrointestinal disorder in children,with a global prevalence of 14.4%based on Rome IV criteria.This editorial explores the multifactorial pathogenesis and diagnostic complexity of FC,emphasizing the importance of early and accurate diagnosis.Effective management of FC hinges on child-oriented toilet training and the use of osmotic laxatives,particularly polyethylene glycol.Emerging therapies,including probiotics,serotonin 5-HT4 receptor agonists,chloride channel activators,and herbal remedies,offer promising options but require further research.Lifestyle modifications,such as adequate fiber and fluid intake and physiotherapy,are crucial in supporting pharmacological treatments.For intractable cases,a multidisciplinary approach involving pediatric specialists,nutritionists,physiotherapists,and psychologists is essential.This comprehensive strategy aims to improve the quality of life for children with FC and their families through continuous research,education,and collaborative care.

Early identification and multidisciplinary management of immune checkpoint inhibitors associated colitis can improve patient outcomes

Currently,the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)has shown notable clinical efficacy in treating various malignant tumors,significantly improving patient prognosis.However,while ICIs enhance the body’s anti-tumor effects,they can also trigger immune-related adverse events(irAEs),with ICI-associated colitis being one of the more prevalent forms.This condition can disrupt treatment,necessitate drug discontinuation,and adversely affect therapeutic outcomes.In severe cases,irAEs may even become life-threatening.A recent case report by Hong et al highlights the importance of vigilance for ICI-associated colitis in patients experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal pain,which can arise both during and even after completion of ICI treatment.Early identification,multidisciplinary management,and continuous monitoring of patients are essential steps to further improve outcomes.

Ultra-Dense LEO Satellite-Aircraft Access and Service Management in Civil Aviation

With the deployment of ultra-dense low earth orbit(LEO)satellite constellations,LEO satellite access network(LEO-SAN)is envisioned to achieve global Internet coverage.Meanwhile,the civil aviation communications have increased dramatically,especially for providing airborne Internet services.However,due to dynamic service demands and onboard LEO resources over time and space,it poses huge challenges in satellite-aircraft access and service management in ultra-dense LEO satellite networks(UDLSN).In this paper,we propose a deep reinforcement learning-based approach for ultra-dense LEO satellite-aircraft access and service management.Firstly,we develop an airborne Internet architecture based on UDLSN and design a management mechanism including medium earth orbit satellites to guarantee lightweight management.Secondly,considering latency-sensitive and latency-tolerant services,we formulate the problem of satellite-aircraft access and service management for civil aviation to ensure service continuity.Finally,we propose a proximal policy optimization-based access and service management algorithm to solve the formulated problem.Simulation results demonstrate the convergence and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm with satisfying the service continuity when applying to the UDLSN.
