The magnetic property of soft magnetic metals and alloys depends strongly on the crystallo-graphic orientation. In automated equipment for orientation research, the intensity for drawing up the pole figure is measured in detail. The present research shows that the accurate pole figure can be drawn up without measuring concretely the intensity. For directional Si steel sheet the measuring step may be 4~5 degrees. In this paper the experimental equation for defo-cusing correction was derived from the experimental data in different specimens with random orientation. 展开更多

Conceptual design and analysis of legged landers with orientation capability

The lander with orientation capability is of fundamental importance for the“Returning”mission because its body can be the base with a suitable launching angle for the ascender lifting off.This paper proposes the conceptual design and verification of Landers with Orientation Capability(LOCs).Firstly,the topological composition of the lander is analyzed and expressed in the form of Lie group,which provides the fundamental principle for the type synthesis of LOCs.Then,the type synthesis approach for designing LOCs is proposed,which includes designing the Equivalent Parallel Mechanism(EPM)and the auxiliary limbs.Numerous mechanisms of LOCs with twodimensional rotational motions are obtained based on the type synthesis approach by developing and combining the EPMs and auxiliary limbs.Afterward,kinematics and Jacobian matrix of a typical legged lander are developed,the workspace is analyzed,singularity configurations are analyzed based on the wrench graph method,and finally,the orientation capability is analyzed.The pitch and yaw angle reach 17.5°,considering the permissible range of joints.The proposed types of LOCs offer potential candidate for the“Returning”mission of the exploration mission. 展开更多

Operations in assembling and joining large size aircraft components are changed to novel digital and flexible ways by digital measurement assisted alignment.Positions and orientations(P&O)of aligned components are critical characters which assure geometrical positions and relationships of those components.Therefore,evaluating the P&O of a component is considered necessary and critical for ensuring accuracy in aircraft assembly.Uncertainty of position and orientation(U-P&O),as a part of the evaluating result of P&O,needs to be given for ensuring the integrity and credibility of the result;furthermore,U-P&O is necessary for error tracing and quality evaluating of measurement assisted aircraft assembly.However,current research mainly focuses on the process integration of measurement with assembly,and usually ignores the uncertainty of measured result and its influence on quality evaluation.This paper focuses on the expression,analysis,and application of U-P&O in measurement assisted alignment.The geometrical and algebraical connotations of U-P&O are presented.Then,an analytical algorithm for evaluating the multi-dimensional U-P&O is given,and the effect factors and characteristics of U-P&O are discussed.Finally,U-P&O is used to evaluate alignment in aircraft assembly for quality evaluating and improving.Cases are introduced with the methodology. 展开更多

Quantification of flupirtine maleate polymorphs using X-ray powder diffraction

Flupirtine maleate, a pharmaceutical compound for treating psychotic disease in clinics, has seven polymorphs. Form A, with better crystal stability and bioavailability, has been widely used as the pharmaceutical crystal form. Unfortunately, it is usually found in a polymorphic mixture with form B. In this study, pure crystal forms of A and B were prepared and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermal analysis. An XRPD-based method for the quantitative determination of the amount of the flupirtine maleate polymorphs form A and form B was also established through a systematic optimization of instrumental parameters. The results of the analytical methodology validation showed that the XPRD method had a broad quantitative range of 0- 100% (w/w), good linear relationship, with R2= 0.999, excellent repeatability and precision and low limits of detection (LoD) of 0.15% (w/w) and quantification (LoQ) of 0.5% (w/w). The results also showed that the single-peak method was not as good as the whole pattern in reducing the influence of the preferred orientation, but this can be compensated for by a systematic optimization of instrumental parameters and validating the analytical methodology to reduce errors and obtain a good, repeatable, sensitive, and accurate method. This XRPD method can be used to analyze mixtures of flupirtine maleate polymorphs (forms A and B) quantitatively and control the quality of the bulk drug. 展开更多
