Although the ossified epaxial tendon lattice is fairly well known in Iguanodontoidea, only recently has knowledge of this complex been extended to ceratopsians. This study concerns the gross morphology and microstructure of the tendon lattice in Psittacosaurus, a basal ceratopsian. As in the neoceratopsian Chasmosaurus, the ossified tendons of Psittacosaurus form a three -layered, lattice-like structure. The microstructure of the tendons in large psittacosaur individuals retains an early stage of ossification, as in juvenile birds and nestling hadrosaurs, suggesting a slow developmental rate of ossification of the tendons in psittacosaur ontogeny. Comparative study indicates that a lattice-like arrangement of three-layered epaxial tendons is widely distributed in Cerapoda. This pattern also extends to Ankylosauria, implying a similar pattern of the epaxial muscles through the ornithischian clade. In addition, comparison with crocodiles implies that the different morphology of ossified tendons in dinosaurs may be associated with adaptive aspects of their paleobiology, not simply a side effect of skeletal ossification. In contrast to the short tendons in quadrupedal Chasmosaurus and Protoceratops, the elongated tendons in Psittacosaurus may be related to the bipedal locomotion characteristic of this taxon.展开更多

Moreover, specially to set up double-control, including a thyroideum medicament and an empty test group, for the comparison and analysis. Our results show that the intestinal microecologics of eel, for increasing growth and rejuvenation to ossified eels, that are botth achieve striking effect. But looked the thyroideum for increasing growth to ossified eels were be very effective. Nevertheless, which for rejuvenation was failed to take effect.Furthermore, we inc-lined to believe that the could be possible still significance of effect, if again added intestinal obligate anserobes of adult eels, and the cerebiogen into this microecologics.展开更多

It is a rapidly growing non-odontogenic neoplasm of the jaws, generally occurring in children and young adults. It is often confused with malignant condition because of its clinical behaviour. Long term follow-up is necessary, considering the high recurrence nature of this tumour. The reconstruction of affected patients, particularly the younger, is often challenging since it has to be done in stages, to keep up with the developing face. We report a case of maxillary JAOF in a 6-month-old female who was referred to our department. Histopathological examination of a resected specimen revealed a trabecular type of JAOF. The patient was followed up for a period of 2 years.展开更多

It is a benign focal heterotopic ossification process of soft tissues, and a rare disorder that occurs spontaneously or after local trauma. Clinical and radiographic appearances are quite hustler. A careful histological examination of biopsy straightens diagnosis is necessary. There is no consensus in support (surgical or/and medical). From Benign prognosis, evolution of this pathology is usually favorable. The authors report a case of giant myositis ossificans circumscribed post-traumatic localized on gluteus and adductor muscles of the right hip on a 26-year-old man. Through a review of literature the mechanism, the diagnostic methods and therapeutic will be discussed.展开更多

There is often a misdiagnosis in the category of fibroosseous lesions, owing to an overlap of clinical, histological and radiographic features amongst the separate entities. We present a case of giant maxillary COF causing extensive disfiguration of the face, along with extensive review of the clinico-pathologic and treatment aspects of the fibro-osseous lesions.展开更多

The surgical management depends on his clinical expression. The aim of this study is to highlight the surgical procedure because the management of this type of lesion has no consensus. The authors reported two cases of OSCH which were successfully excised with good outcomes. Taking care during the procedure of dissection from parenchyma is the key for this surgery.展开更多
