Out-of-Bounds Array Access Fault Model and Automatic Testing Method Study

Out-of-bounds array access(OOB) is one of the fault models commonly employed in the object- oriented programming language. At present, the technology of code insertion and optimization is widely used in the world to d... Out-of-bounds array access(OOB) is one of the fault models commonly employed in the object- oriented programming language. At present, the technology of code insertion and optimization is widely used in the world to detect and fix this kind of fault. Although this method can examine some of the faults in OOB programs, it cannot test programs thoroughly, neither to find the faults correctly. The way of code insertion makes the test procedures so inefficient that the test becomes costly and time-consuming. This pa- per, uses a kind of special static test technology to realize the fault detection in OOB programs. We first es- tablish the fault models in OOB program, and then develop an automatic test tool to detect the faults. Some experiments have exercised and the results show that the method proposed in the paper is efficient and feasible in practical applications. 展开更多

A mixed simulation test bench is constructed and used for statistic of data access delay among these three structures in various cases. Finally these structures are realized on Xilinx FPGA development board and DCT,FFT,SAD,IME,FME,and de-blocking filtering algorithms are mapped onto the structures. The MultiCarrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) scheme is promising for relieving capacity limit problems of Direct Sequence (DS-) CDMA systems due to serious InterChip Interference (ICI) and MultiUser Interference (MUI) in high-data-rate wireless communication systems. In this paper, the Uniform Linear Array (ULA) is applied to the base station of macrocellular MC-CDMA systems in a frequency-selective fading channel environment. A joint space-frequency multiuser symbol sequence detector is developed for all active users within one macrocell without space-frequency channel estimation. Simultaneously, Directions-Of-Arrivals (DOAs) of all active users can also be estimated. By dividing the ULA into two identical overlapping subarrays, a specific auxiliary matrix is constructed, which includes both symbol sequence and DOA information of all active users. Then, based on the subspace method, performing the eigen decomposition on such auxiliary matrix, the closed-form solution of symbol sequences and DOAs for all active users can be obtained. In comparison with schemes based on channel estimation, our algorithm need not explicitly estimate the space-frequency channel for each active user,so it has lower computation complexity. Extensive computer simulations demonstrate the overall performance of this novel scheme. 展开更多

This paper presents the design and implementation of access controller used for Ethernet passive optical network ( EPON). As a first step to develop an ASIC product, the entire system is designed on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) with an embedded CPU. To reduce working frequency of the FPGA, the byte-to-word conversion is proposed. Propagation delays are equalized by ranging procedure so as to avoid data collision. Implementations of synchronization, classification, as well as Linux porting are illustrated in detail. The interface between the FPGA and CPU are also presented. Experimental results show that the proposed system can properly function in a relatively low cost FPGA. 展开更多

This paper proposes a closed-form joint space-time channel and Direction Of Arrival (DOA) blind estimation algorithm for space-thne coded Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) systems equipped with a Uniform Linear Array (ULA) at the base station in frequency-selective fading environments. The algorithm uses an ESPRIT-like method to separate multiple co-channel users with different impinging DOAs. As a result, the DOAs for multiple users are obtained. In particular, a set of signal subspaces, every one of which is spanned by the space-time vector channels of an individual user, are also obtained. From these signal subspaces, the space-time channels of multiple users are estimated using the subspace method. Computer simulations illustrate both the validity and the overall performance of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

An experimental study is conducted on several retro-reflective beamforming schemes for wireless power transmission to multiple wireless power receivers(referred to herein as“targets”).The experimental results demonstrate that,when multiple targets broadcast continuous-wave pilot signals at respective frequencies,a retro-reflective wireless power transmitter is capable of generating multiple wireless power beams aiming at the respective targets as long as the multiple pilot signals are explicitly separated from one another by the wireless power transmitter.However,various practical complications are identified when the pilot signals of multiple targets are not appropriately differentiated from each other by the wireless power transmitter.Specifically,when multiple pilot signals are considered to be carried by the same frequency,the wireless power transmission performance becomes heavily dependent on the interaction among the pilot signals,which is highly undesirable in practice.In conclusion,it is essential for a retro-reflective wireless power transmitter to explicitly discriminate multiple targets’pilot signals among each other. 展开更多

This paper has proposed an experimental system for non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)wireless optical communication in challenging underwater turbulent environments,employing the gallium nitride(GaN)-based micro-LED array.This design of the GaN-based micro-LED array enables the independent transmission of signals from distinct data streams within the NOMA framework,facilitating direct optical power-domain superposition of NOMA signals.The experimental setup involves emulating oceanic turbulence channels,characterized by varying the level of scintillation intensity,to thoroughly investigate the bit error rate(BER)performance.The outcomes unequivocally demonstrate the superiority of our proposed NOMA scheme,as compared to conventional circuit-driven optical NOMA systems utilizing fixed LED array grouping,particularly in the presence of turbulent underwater channels.The proposed NOMA scheme exhibits consistently superior BER performance and maintains excellent linearity at the lower frequencies while effectively mitigating signal distortion at the higher frequencies. 展开更多

Hybrid Distributed Coordination Function (HDCF),a modified medium access control pro-tocol of IEEE 802.11 standard,is proposed in this paper to support both smart adaptive array anten-nas and normal omni-directional antennas simultaneously in one wireless LAN. Omni-directional an-tennas follow the standard Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) and smart antennas follow the Directional DCF (DDCF). The proposed DDCF is based on Hybrid Virtual Carrier Sense (HVCS) mechanism,which includes Omni-directional Request-To-Send/Clear-To-Send (ORTS/OCTS) hand-shake mechanism and directional data transmission. HDCF is compatible with DCF. When a node transmits in a directional beam,the other nodes can multiplex the physical channel. Hence,HDCF supports Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA). Simulation results show that HDCF can support hybrid antennas effectively and provide much higher network throughput and lower delay and jitter than DCF does. 展开更多

Static Random Access Memory(SRAM) is one kind of themost widely used memories due to its merits of high efficiency and low power dissipation, but testing itsfunction still depends on writing testing modules with hardware description language, which results in lowdeveloping efficiency and low reliability. In this paper, an embedded testing method is proposed, which isbased on MicroBlaze and its speed increasing function design. Implementation of the test method is basedon reusable Intellectual Property(IP) technique and greatly improves data transfer speed. With this method,secondary development of SRAM test system can be made in application layer instead of fundamentallogical layer, which simplifies the system design. It is not only more efficient and more reliable, but alsoeasier to transplant, which greatly reduces test design cost. The validity and feasibility of the method havebeen proved by test results. 展开更多

An internal single event upset(SEU)mitigation technique is proposed,which reads back the configuration frames from the static random access memory(SRAM)-based field programmable gate array(FPGA)through an internal port and compares them with those stored in the radiationhardened memory to detect and correct SEUs.Triple modular redundancy(TMR),which triplicates the circuit of the technique and uses majority voters to isolate any single upset within it,is used to enhance the reliability.Performance analysis shows that the proposed technique can satisfy the requirement of ordinary aerospace missions with less power dissipation,size and weight.The fault injection experiment validates that the proposed technique is capable of correcting most errors to protect spaceborne facilities from SEUs. 展开更多

Space-time selective parallel interference cancellation(ST-SPIC) is a computationally effective approach combining multiuser detection (MUD) with antenna array technology for CDMA systems. The exploitation of signal reliability is a key issue in ST-SPIC. In order to improve the reliability estimation, a pair of reliability thresholds are introduced. Then an improved selective interference cancellation algorithm is proposed to exploit the reliability accordingly. More practical space-time processing algorithms are also incorporated in the proposed ST-SPIC scheme to overcome the limitation caused by some idealised assumptions taken in the original ST-SPIC scheme. Numerical results show that the proposed ST-SPIC scheme outperforms its traditional counterpart in a CDMA microcell environment. 展开更多
