In this paper,they are presented the experiences that emerged from the implementation of STEM approaches in primary education in Greece,given the context in which schools operate.The aim is to stimulate discussion on ...In this paper,they are presented the experiences that emerged from the implementation of STEM approaches in primary education in Greece,given the context in which schools operate.The aim is to stimulate discussion on the possibilities and feasibility of introducing STEM activities in Greek schools.Two public schools in Attica were selected as pilot schools to test the proposal in which eight different actions were implemented in different grades.Indicatively,one of the actions implemented for nine classroom hours in elementary school(K5)is presented.From the literature review and the implementation of these actions,it has been demonstrated that while existing curricula have not incorporated the STEM education methodology into their goals,there are links that allow teachers to apply it.In addition,it appears that the scenarios will have to be carefully designed,be clearly depicted and receptive to accepting solutions proposed.In parallel,the positive effect of these actions has multiple levels of impact on students(cognitive domain,affective domain,and psychomotor domain).展开更多

Gold and silver color embroidery has a long history as a representative embroidery skill in traditional embroidery techniques. It has complex techniques and deep deposits. Due to the particularity of its materials and techniques, it is faced with many problems in its inheritance in the off-campus education. This paper discusses the problems of the traditional gold and silver color embroidery techniques for off-campus education, the innovation in the process of teaching, the design of practical activities, and their significance, so that traditional skills can promote the national spirit in the new concept and teaching of out-ofschool education, inheriting the human civilization, serving the social harmonious and cultural development, thus achieving the goal of education.展开更多

It ensures interdisciplinarity, multi...GeoQuest Project is the design of a new teaching and learning technology based on Computer Class Role Playing Games (RPG) to teach Earth Science in a STEAM educational approach. It ensures interdisciplinarity, multilinguai approach (CLIL compliance) and interactive activities in classrooms. This educational game uses students' personal tablets and smartphones to interact with the game, with a system more comprehensible and funny for young people compared to traditional methodologies. Students are bringing "in situation" by the adventure, so teachers can get a rigorous assessment of their skills. The Game includes several adventure paths, suitable for different age students. They are focused on scientific topics, humanities, hands-on activities in interdisciplinary way. If used conditions do not allow practical or laboratorial activities provided by the game, players can see some videos to understand the activities. Experimental results were outstanding: the RPG appreciation is in agreement with the experiments outcome. This work experience gets excellent feedbacks by teachers, in terms of efficacy of this new teaching methodology and of results achieving.展开更多
